Having been to all Market Basket locations in Southeast Texas, I really like this location. It has a great variety of items, wide selection, mid-range pricing as an independent grocer (you can’t compare it to a Wal-Mart - it’s not fair). Staff are friendly, kind courteous and helpful if asked. If anyone ever wants something they don’t carry they will try as best they can to get the item for that customer.If you like the review, give me a Thumbs up, and Follow for more.

I like the older smaller grocery store feel this location has. Just wish they had a hot deli.

I mean its just like a little h-e-b also sells freshly baked cakes and cookies and good to go grocery shopping

I am a regular Market Basket customer, so I’m especially glad to be able to continue shopping there during the pandemic! Employees, managers, and customers consistently wear masks, most of the time correctly, honor personal spaces, and maintain cleanliness. Early mornings, it’s mostly seniors, who are best! The MB on Phelan and in Winnie are the same, so I think it’s their company’s culture in general, which I applaud! Thank you so much.

Almost had everything i wanted. Short lines. But somewhat expensive hygiene products. I got starred down, instead of asked for help. Had a hard time locating some things so i ended up wondering anxiously

Ok store. But needs to get someone who knows what they are doing behind the Customer service booth. I went 3 times and he still doesnt know how to do anything! Please bring the young lady back she is more knowledgeable.

Got some food inside as well, was really crunchy but no flavor. The side packet sauces helped a lot! The mashed potato and gravy were bomb though.

Coke to expensive at this store, but service people so friendly and helpful....

Good, clean store. Prices are about normal. Smaller than most large chain grocers so you dont kill yourself walking all those miles! Very friendly, helpful staff and for being on the smaller side, really good selection.

A Major Grocery Chain Employees are Friendly and Professional but the Appearance of the Floors needs BetterAttention. Clean those Floors.

They have all the Hispanic employees follow you around as if youre going to steal something

I guess he was the manager but I stick out like a sore thumb I had pink hair at the time he just stared. But the lady working in the customers service window was really nice. But lets see wat happens today now I have royal red hair.!!

In the time of COVID-19 restriction, I was looking for a kinder, gentler store. This place is smaller, clean, and stocked as well as can be expected. I think I’ll stick with this place because of stock and staff.

Very clean. Well sanitized, especially the shopping baskets. They had every item I was looking for.

Great place to shop. Friendly Checkout and Managers. Now they have a Rewards Card you can get and collect points when you checkout. Rewards include: Free Items (Redeem points), Lower Cost on Selected Items each week and a monthly special price flyer found inside the store.

Vegetables are not fresh. Berrys have mold in them. Lettuce is wilted. They take more pride in the flower dept than the fruit and vegetables dept

Its in a convenient location. Had what I needed. Some of the products that dont move as fast as groceries were coated with dust. Excellent checker though. Found it had a slow, laid back air to it; probably because I was in such a rush! :)

Everytime I go into this market basket The food is expired the produce is rotten and nothing is fresh The meat is green and smells bad I found a cockroach in the freezer food it smells like mildew. The milk is always spoiled and the can goods look like they been there for years on how much dust and black little grits is on the top of themWe had a flood in the area and the store was flooded and I’m sure nothing was replaced due to the food or produce it’s sadI hate going to this store i avoid it as much as I can and make an effort on going to a different market insteadI don’t know if a health inspector was ever in there but I’ll be talking to someone about this store due to the Filth

Be very careful what u buy at the one on 11th St bmt several times bought bad, spoiled frozen items that freezer need cleaning all those frozen veggies, potatoes,crusts, pizzas throw them away freezer burn public.

Manager will follow you and make you feel like a criminal.

Everything was great! Far as my overall experience, shopping today. Other than the older Caucasian bagger, guy broke my eggs!! Who in they right mind will grab eggs and slam them down! Not only that he did while slamming them down in the cart up side down! I was so shocked couldnt believe he actully did that!! How rude!! I actually said too him, hey dont slam my eggs like that u go break them! .... Get too my truck an guess what? EGGS ARE BROKE!! An i had too walk back in the store too change them. Unbelievably! I actually shop there onna regular basis so i will over look that. But i know for sure he can not assist me with any thing when i shop there! Know too stay away from him.-God Bless

No bakery. They always havepeople panhandling in the front and will not stop it. Managers do not care. I was robbed here years ago while pregnant in front of the door at noon and the manager said it wasnt his problem. Terrible store. The staff is also very racist against white and asain customers.

Poor lighting in the parking lot deters any shopping after sunset due to this store being in a shady part of town. Staff is mostly pleasent. The selection is limited at this location as well.

Western Union Service was rude, and made getting personal affairs taken care very difficult. I reported to the Manager about the rude and argumentative Market Basket Staff and as I was speaking to the Manager, the Clerk was arguing with me in the PRESENCE of the Manager. He told her repeatedly to STOP talking but she continued to answer back and roll her eyes!! I would NOT have a job if I had treated a customer the way that young lady had spoken and treated me and those other customers. I would not longer have a job!!! I will NEVER Step foot in that place EVER AGAIN!!

Groceries packed very poorly. Charged 1.27 cents for bunch of green onions that wasnt even organic. This store was robbed in broad daylight on 12/23/18 and it was kept out of the news putting more customers at risk .
