I would rate the Advance Auto Parts store in Chippewa PA less than one star if possible. I have never been adequately assisted in that store. Its not all their fault, for some reason I keep going in there thinking this time will be better, its not. In the most resent episode of the worst store ever, I needed to purchase brake pads and rotors for my wifes van. They have the pads in stock and had to order the rotors (that should have been a red flag) the kid ringing me up and the older gentleman I believe to be either the manager or assistant manager says they can order them and it should only take a couple days and theyll call me when they come in... that was on Tuesday Aug 31st. So today, on Sept 5th I decide to just stop in and see if they came in, perhaps they forgot to call, lost my number or couldnt get through. Nope, no brake rotors, apparently the store they ordered them from who said they had them didnt. So they just said oh well... Keep in mind, I had paid for said parts. So they charged me for parts they had to order from another store, then when that store didnt have them they just gave up. Maybe they thought I would forget. So when I stopped in the store today they explain this to me (no phone call once the error was discovered) and say they can order them from the warehouse and theyll be here tomorrow... TOMORROW IS A HOLIDAY! Why were they not ordered from the warehouse to begin with? Why werent they ordered from the warehouse once it was discovered the store the did ordered them from didnt have them? Why do I keep going back to that store expecting anything to be better? This WILL be the last time I set foot in that store. My hope is that this review will help prevent others from having to deal with the headache and incompetence that is the Advanced Auto in Chippewa PA.
My Check Engine light was on, so I stopped at this store to have the diagnostic run. A more experienced (not older) gentleman, whose name I did not get, did the test and it indicated a problem with the catalytic converter, so I prepared myself for a major expense.However, the gentleman suggested putting fuel line cleaner in the gas tank the next time I filled up, then unhooking the positive terminal of the battery, letting it sit for 1/2 hour (to reset the on-board computer), reconnecting the terminal and driving the car for about 60 miles to see if the Check Engine light stays off.That was about 2 months and 300 miles ago, so it worked: total cost was about $8.00, so a big Thank You for the good advice and possibly saving me a lot of money.
Jason the store manager doesn’t know the stores policies and argues with the customers even when proven wrong. As a former employee of advance auto, and a loyal customer of over 10 years, I will never go back to advance after my experience. I had to argue to get my core charges refunded on my credit card because I didn’t have the receipt but we were able to find the transaction under my phone number. I have many friends and family that work on their own vehicles and will not go to this store because of this guy specifically. Even to ensure that I was not mistaken, I called the 1-877-advance and they confirmed I was correct. Overall extremely displeased and will never go back.
Service was fast and they did not have what I needed so they referred me to another store( not theirs). Because of their honesty and the referral to a different company- we will definitely return. Thank you for caring.
Went in today 2 buy another POR15 kit and was being told the kit was $63.00 but when I looked at the price tag on the shelf it clearly said $28.99.told the manager the price was $28.99 and he argued and said it wasnt. I pretty sure I know what the price was when I had had already purchased one at another Advanced Auto Parts today.This store will be the last place I buy anything else and being a valued customer all my customers will deal elsewhere
Im here too much buying stuff for my car. the guys there are helpful too if you dont really know what the part is, they will actually help you out 100%
Staff was friendly and got me what I needed. I enjoy the location for getting all the different things for our work vehicles.

Always helpful, always polite and always finds me the part I need. Only thing keeping out a 5☆ review is the fact on 1/6/19 when working I needed motor oil and stopleak and with limited daylight this time of year I start early. Only problem is that absolutely no one was at the store at opening time and they were almost 15 minutes late, needless to say I was late for my 1st morning customer which ended up putting me behind the whole day.
Went in for battery purchase and installation and the older gentleman took really good care of me. It was freezing outside and he apologized to me for taking too long which was not an issue.Much appreciation my man.
The clerk was very helpful and very pleasant. He understood my problem and even put the battery in the trunk of my car. Being a 74 yr old woman, I really appreciated that.

Barely made it there after jumpstarting my car in the rain twice. Then after already purchasing a battery online, went to pick up, had some guy there mumble under his breath Im not putting it in. Having no tools to uninstall or install the battery I told them I could not get the battery then. They could have cared less as they let me walk out the door. I ended up going 100 yards up the road to Autozone who was more than happy to take my money and also offer excellent service. Advanced upper management tried to say it was because they must have two employees in store at all times. Well do not advertise you do it if you wont. Also, one guy was outside when the car pulled up so that seems to be untrue.
