Best service I’ve ever had at a dealership. I went in to have my ERAD and rear differential replaced. Communication was superb, extremely professional and friendly. I went in feeling completely overwhelmed and even before my car was finished I felt completely taken care of and was able to relax. My car was completed ahead of schedule and the loaner was great. It was nice to not have a barebones loaner vehicle. They have certainly gained a loyal customer. Thanks again Chad for a great experience.

I just took our Volvo XC-60 T-8 in for its first servicing and was assisted by Thomas David. From start to finish Mr. David had incredible attention to detail, communicated with us frequently, and really made my wife and me feel taken care of. Weve had our Mazda serviced at Herzog Meier for years, but we live in the NW hills of Portland, less than a mile from Jim Fisher Volvo. I thought how convenient can that be; but after some contact with the dealership it became clear wed be continuing to head out to Beaverton to get the best service in town. Gotta say, though I ultimately didn’t find my unicorn used vehicle at this dealership, I had contacted them and was helped by Stephanie when I *thought* they had one for sale (turned out to be a slightly different model than what I needed). In any case, Stephanie kept in contact with me for several weeks, totally on the lookout for my unicorn car. If it had turned up on their lot (would have been a trade-in), I would absolutely have been pleased to work with her. She is friendly, funny, communicative, and obviously cares about her customers. I bought my Volvo XC40 Recharge from Herzog-Meier back in May after ordering the car online from Volvo the previous October. Throughout the build process and shipping, right up to the delivery, the staff at Herzog-Meier was excellent in terms of communication and service. When I received my car, Thomas David the service representative took the time and care to explain the ins-and-outs of the all-electric vehicle. As this is a first-generation model for Volvo, there were a few inevitable glitches. Thomas was always available and helpful in correcting any and all problems that arose. I would definitely recommend Herzog-Meier to anyone looking for a dealer with superior customer care.

Doug Galloway at Herzog-Meier Volvo has been selling Volvos since 1977 and was an absolute gem to work with! We werent planning on purchasing the day we went to test drive but were so impressed with the XC60 that we just couldnt pass up the opportunity. Doug knew I had to get to that conclusion on my own and did not pressure us at all. The purchasing process in terms of paperwork was easy and much faster than any other car buying experienced Ive had. Brandy explained everything very clearly! We didnt end up purchasing, but our experience was excellence. We made a reservation to test drive online. Upon arrival the car was ready to take out. A Volvo rep met us, answered our questions, and then handed us the keys to take out and explore on our own. Once we returned, they answered a few more questions and then put the ball in our park to follow-up. We loved the zero pressure experience, knowledgeable folks on hand, and trust to test drive without someone in the car selling it to us. Highly recommended.

Didnt buy a Volvo but I must say that Stephanie Tichenor is one of the best salespersons that I have ever encounter. She has great product knowledge and is willing to answer any question that you might have. Also did the right amount of keeping in touch, not too much to seem overbearing and not too little to make you think she doesnt care. In a way I kind of feel bad for not buying the vehicle as she was making the experience a pleasure.If all of the salespeople at this dealership are as good as Stephanie and this dealership is as good as her then I would have total confidence in buying from them!

I visited a couple Volvo dealerships and did not receive the same genuine attention and care. Stephanie and Kris went above and beyond to make sure I got the best deal on the exact car I wanted. Stephanie made sure I knew about the USAA promo going on, which I was not told about by anyone else, and Kris helped get the car to the dealership in time for me to receive the additional incentive from Volvo that ended the day after I got the car. They really made me feel taken care of!
I ended up buying something else, but was impressed with the professionalism of Stephanie Tichoner, who reached out to me about a Volvo I was interested in. She was polite, enthusiastic, and helpful but never pushy. I will definitely look at H-M next time I need to purchase a car.
I got my windshield replaced there. When I dropped off the car they had me sign an estimate for 415, when I picked it up it was $1828.89. When I made the appointment I was told that they do windshields all the time. And they will ensure the calibration for the heads up display and sensors are working. The thing they didnt mention is that they dont work with insurance. Even when I got there they didnt mention it having me sign a lesser amount knowing I would have to pay the full amount. I paid the full amount and am now having to get reimbursement. Someone there said they left a message but no one ever spoke to me directly and certainly could have SAID SOMETHING WHEN I GOT THERE. When I picked up the car there was and still is grease finger prints on the suede headliner, there was mud in the drivers door along the metal and floor and a greasy hand print on the hood. There was silicone rubber from removal or installation of the windshield inside of the car in the console and the area of the heads up display. This is clearly not a luxury car experience. They could take lessons from Ron Tonkin Acura about what luxury car experience es should look like. I get ten times the service on my 2006 acura than I got here. BEWARE OF DEALERSHIPS THAT DO NOT DISCLOSE DETAILS LIKE THAT. Unbelievable. I love the car, but wont be doing business there again.

I received a notice of a recall on my Volvo and scheduled an appointment to have it fixed - as the notice advised. I scheduled about 2 weeks in advance only to be told when I arrived for the appointment that they did not have the parts to fix the recall issue. Apparently they were only sent a limited number of parts and ran out almost immediately - weeks before my appointment.No one bothered to contact me to let me know this. I had to take time off of work and coordinate transportation to and from with friends. I understand things like this occur, but it is the most basic courtesy to let me know you cant do the work I had scheduled to be done. I would have happily waited until you could, but you either dont have your act together or you lack respect for your customers to not inform them on things like this.

On a road trip from Colorado we faced an issue with our car near Eugene (OR). After the repair the wind shield wiper did not work as it should. At courtesy Herzog-Meier Volvo in Portland took care of the issue in five minutes. Nathan is an asset with this Volvo dealership. From the very beginning, we had an amazing experience. Nathan very patiently answered all our questions, tried to understand all our requirements with utmost sincerity and shared a candid opinion in terms of vehicle best suited for our needs. He was very responsive and really went out of the way to help us get a vehicle we really wanted. Although ultimately we ended up buying a BMW, Volvo XC 90 was a serious contender and Nathan had a key role to play in that. We were some what disappointed to not go with Volvo XC 90 as we really liked the vehicle and wanted to do business with Nathan but others at Volvo dealership were very rigid to yield some ground and offer us something that we believed was a reasonable ask. My wife and I decided we really wanted a Volvo XC40 or XC60. The challenge was that we live in Spokane, WA. While visiting Oregon, we contacted Herzog-Meier for a test drive. Nathan Alvarez was of great assistance. He had cars ready for us to drive, answered all our questions and did not pressure us in any way. My wife and I spend the next month deciding which model and features we wanted. Nathan and Stephanie Tichenor worked with us remotely to keep us informed of the models they had available and those coming in. They were always very prompt returning emails, phone calls and text messages. We had also reached out to the Volvo dealers in Seattle and Tacoma as they are a little closer to our home. I will be the first to admit that I initially was not looking to buy a car in 2021, let alone a car from a dealership 18 hours away from home. I wanted to do OSD on a Volvo but COVID-19 has tabled most of that idea for the foreseeable future.But by chance I was browsing the Volvo site, and found that Herzog-Meier had the 2020 V60 CC I was interested in with low miles. Turns out, it was a loaner car, and the price offered I simply could not pass up.I corresponded with Stephanie over the course of about 2-3 weeks, ended up committing to buying the car, and flew up to Portland + picked up the car in the same weekend. Keith picked me up from the hotel, and could not have been any more friendly or knowledgeable about Volvo and their recent brand history (which is a huge plus for any car salesperson in my opinion). Thomas did a great job going over features of the car, and the entire experience was beyond expectations.The cherry on top? Turns out they use a titling company to complete out of state California registration, which will save me an unnecessary trip to the DMV.I highly recommend you talk with the staff at H-M if you are interested in a new or used Volvo. Thank you to Steven and Stephanie for your help! I just bought my first car here and had a very good experience. Stephanie was helpful to communicate with and set up a test drive for me, and negotiated a fair price. They let me have a mobile mechanic from Wrench do a pre-purchase inspection, which Im very glad I did, because I found some minor maintenance things that needed to be repaired. Steven got me set up to get repairs taken care of at HM Motorsports right next door. He bent over backwards to make this purchase doable for me, and is just a wonderful person to work with! The paperwork was quick and I got to take my car home right away. Im hoping this will be a reliable car for me and my pup for years to come!
When I am on a budget I let the service rep know. They always suggest the best and most important things to address now and what can be done next time. They always have my best interest with Respect and courtesy. Its good to have faith and know you are at the best place where they know everything about your vehicle. Accurate diagnosis and repairs that are needed. I have had a Volvo since 1995 and my youngest daughter drives a Volvo. Knowing my daughter is in a good vehicle that is safe means everything

Communication throughout my repair process was impeccable. The service team diagnosed and resolved an issue with a noise in my car that had been happening for almost two years. Note: other Volvo dealerships failed to fix the issue. Everyone who helped me was kind, thorough, and compassionate. My loaner was great to drive in the meantime. I inquired about a used vehicle on their lot and the customer service representative, Stephanie, was incredibly responsive, yet did not pressure or hound me. While I ended up purchasing a new Volvo from the dealer in my local area, she continued to assist me with some questions that I had about accessories and so forth, This dealership has been far more pleasant to deal with than the dealership that I actually purchased the vehicle from and as a result, I am more likely to purchase from them some time in the future.
Increadibly low pressure experience. All our questions were answered online before coming in to test drive. The team was responsive to our needs and interests. Matter of fact financing and trade value information with a real effort to make the transaction work for us. When it was clear we were too far away to close the deal we were given an empathetic response that made us feel good about the time and effort spent. When ready we will be back.

Were not local but have been looking for a very specific model used SUV. After numerous emails, talking to several employees, and requesting lots of photos we decided to make the drive. Their manager Stephanie had sent several emails telling us how important it was to them that we had detailed information before making the 10 hour drive. Maybe if she had spent less time spouting sales lines she would have remembered to mention the extensive paint damage, rust, missing seats, and excessive interior damage. Im not sure how they managed to angle the camera in order to keep all that damage out of the pictures. I can understand wanting to list a vehicle the best way possible but they outright lied to us about the condition of the car, knowing that it would cost us an entire day of driving, rental car fees, and gas.

Received an email about trading in my car, for a new 2020 XC60. Decided to entertain it and went back and forth with them through email. We finally agreed on terms and I made an appointment to complete the transaction. Long story short, when I got there they started increasing the prices on the initial agreement and eventually flat out said they couldn’t meet their own price. Don’t waste your time with their bait and switch tactics, go to Jim Fisher Volvo and actually be treated like a valued customer.

We had a wonderful car buying experience with Herzog-Meier Volvo in Beaverton, OR. Everyone was very professional, and there was no pressure to buy. We were given very detailed information about the models we were interested in, and were allowed to test drive several different configurations. I would highly recommend anyone considering buying a new Volvo to do so with Herzog-Meier Volvo.
These guys are so efficient and knowledgeable. I bought two cars from them and have had to bring them back a couple times for various things (routing maintenance mostly, but this weekend for a repeatedly flat tire and low coolant—which they didn’t even charge me to fix) and it’s always a pleasure.The showroom is tidy, open, and light. And they even have a fireplace, a lovely addition for when you’re waiting for your car to be fixed. The salespeople are always helpful but not pushy. Like the guy I talked to this weekend told me about a USAA rebate on hybrid cars that I had no idea about.When I think of buying a car, it feels like a hassle. But when I think of going to Herzog, I feel like it’s just laid back and easy. I like that I don’t have to have my guard up there.
Even though we did not end up purchasing our Volvo from Herzog-Meier, Stephanie Tichenor was a great help to us! She is very knowledgeable and helpful with finding the right vehicles. Her responses to our questions and inquiries were very quick! I would definitely consider buying from Herzog in the future!
I work with many different dealerships on a daily basis and this one is simply outstanding. I love working with them.! Josh in the service department always has spot on communication and has no problem fitting me into his busy schedule on short notice.! I dont take my Volvos anywhere else. They work hard to get my vehicles completed in a timely manner and genuinely care about the work they perform.
I have never had a better experience buying a new car from start to finish every person we spoke with was just fantastic. I never felt pressured, I got a great deal for my trade in, and they sat with me for over an hour explaining how to use all the fancy features....after closing time!!
I had a great experience shopping at Herzog-Meier with Nathan. I like cars and do my research ahead of time, it was great to have a sales person who also likes cars. Too often at dealerships the sales people dont care or know about the product. Nathan was excellent, he kept ontop of communication and treated me with respect while working with a sense of urgency. By far Herzog and Nathan were the best a keeping up with communication while shopping for a new car.
Just leased a XC90 hybrid and am loving the car. Love the Pure driving mode feature, the thoughtful amenities and the overall smooth ride. Big props to my sales guy Keith M. for the guidance and support through the lease and trade-in process!

I drove from outside of Beaverton to look at a used vehicle. I got there just before they closed and they were extremely accommodating and willing to hang out as long as needed. I bought the vehicle and they stayed till almost 10pm to make sure all of the paperwork was completed. I would highly recommend them for a great car buying experience.

Best person to work with when you want to buy a car: he *knows* cars, is a teacher at heart, has endless patience for questions and is the most generous, up-front car-salesperson that Ive worked with. He really wants you to find the best car and is willing to openly talk through ALL of the options that are best for you. He made my time at Herzog-Meier Volvo a positive experience.
Friendly staff and a nice witing area with water, tea and fruit. Keith was very kind to me and my daughter. He wasn’t pushy about anything during the process. It was the best experience I had when I started car shopping.
I really like the Volvo xc60. I arranged a test drive with Stephanie, letting her know that I waS just beginning my car search. She was great, well informed about the car, clear on the possible costs and rebates, and companionable on the drive. We wound up testing two cars and there was never a sense of urgency.

Worst service ever!!! I would select zero stars if I could...Seriously, unless you want to get ripped off and jerked around for weeks on end GO ELSEWHERE! My Volvo wouldnt start -- so I had it towed to Herzog -- only because my trusty mechanic was recovering from a shop fire and couldnt do the repair. Two weeks and 1,300 dollars later the same issue with the car is occurring. When I called David (who claimed to be the manager - though he did not act like one) said, oh just have it towed back and we will offer you a free diagnostic. Have it towed back at my expense? Right!?! I then asked him if the tech had run very basic diagnostics on the battery, alternator, and tested the starter control module -- the answer to these questions was NO!?! He felt offering me a free diagnostic was enough to make this right as though the first two diagnostics I paid for did any good. I asked to speak to his direct supervisor and he would not give me the contact info and claimed his direct supervisor would email me -- I then tried the chat service on their site and she would not connect me either, but claimed someone would email me. -- Big Surprise! -- I have not received an email from anyone. Save yourself some grief and go elsewhere! And PS if you are buying a Volvo here -- you will be dealing with the shady service department for scheduled maintenance -- keep this in mind
I had my V50 serviced and had a wonderful experience. I was given a loaner car (Volvo) for the day. Alan and Douglas were very helpful and always friendly. This is my second Volvo from the dealership and I will be back for another Volvo some day. I did the Volvo in Europe, the best experience I have ever had. On a very hot day, my V70R Volvo started blowing superheated air out of the air conditioner vent regardless of the temperate I set. Doug cheerfully took me in without an appointment and managed to squeeze in a fix within a reasonable time considering the service appointments ahead of me. I am always impressed with the competence and professionalism of the Volvo service staff Doug and Allen. Thanks guys. Youre the best.
Recently I bought a used van from Herzog-Meier. This car was exactly what I wanted. Thomas Clark was very kind and sincere to me. When I received a phone call from him, I could feel his truthfulness. It was a very special experience for me to buy my first car here. I feel very grateful to Thomas, and I would like to buy it again if I get a chance next time.
Our buying experience with the sales staff went well. Thomas was very knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Unfortunately, weve had our vehicle (which we love) over a month, and still waiting for our financing to be completed correctly.
A Volvo has a long life. Unfortunately many dealers lose interest in repairs or even routine service work when a Volvo reaches vintage status. That happened to me at the dealership where I bought my car. But Doug Smith is as concerned about my 96 850 Turbo as he is about new models. And I am very grateful. I know that if repairs are needed, the cost will be reasonable. He never winces when I ask questions. I trust his advice because he is so knowledgeable. I think one of the best tests of a service department is when a vintage Volvo is treated with the same concern as a new model. Dont you?

The experience I had with Herzog was genuine, professional and transparent. It was a refreshing approach to the stereotypical car sales experience we all know is common. I know it sounds cliche, and I know saying “it sounds cliche”, sounds cliche; but I appreciated the professional, non-fake interactions with their staff. I have no problem with recommending that anybody buying a Volvo to make Herzog-Meier Volvo their choice of who to do business with.
