I can not say enough about how much of a pleasure it was to do business with Rods. I mainly dealt with Jeffrey (very quick email replies), Brittney and Zach. All three of them were very easy and actually fun to talk to. I never felt like anything was being pressed on me and after going to Toyota for years just because thats where I bought my truck and was surprised at how robust the information Rods could provide me after their initial inspection. I only had the funds to change my oil and then do one of the options I wanted to repair but the quality of service and friendliness was amazing! Took my Mercedes in for an oil change and basic check up. They provided a complete report on the status of the vehicle systems, including photographs, before they started the work. The 57 point check was complimentary. I was very impressed with their service and professionalism.

My 2006 Honda Odyssey touring had routine oil changes and basic maintenance. However, I had neglected some of the bigger maintenance items. I was concerned about my car because it was showing signs of distress like becoming very shaky at high-speed‘s, with acceleration and with braking. I was a bit nervous to take it into any mechanic, because I expected there were big problems. Master Auto Tech did an excellent job with their initial inspection, they were able to recommend the priorities for repair. Their prices were very reasonable. Their communication was exceptional. I trusted them entirely. When I received my car back, It exceeded my expectations. I hope to continue using Master Auto Tech for my service needs, and I would highly recommend them to anyone. They are professional, reasonable, and communicate well.

Master Auto Tech was a great choice for me, they saved one of my oldest cars at a very reasonable price. Bob and Nate were very reasonable and treated me like I was at home. I respect how honest they are and look for your best choices price wise and urgency wise. Ill be returning here for any future maintenance issues. Its worth the price, no one in town wanted to work with my Volvo S80 T6, they didnt even blink.

My one star review is based primarily on the compassionless and damnable character shown by who I assume was the owner, Bob. He displayed wanton disregard for customer service and for the safety of my vehicle as I drove it off his lot.He and his team attended to diagnostics on my vehicle in a timely fashion and delivered a comprehensive report, which was appreciated. Nate, who runs the front desk, is knowledgeable and polite. This shop advertises and attempts to sell a top quality service that comes with a high price tag. All of this is fine and reasonable.I came into issues with Master Auto Tech when I asked them to remove a rusted off tailpipe (that was hanging by only a hook and two bolts) out from under my 2000 Tacoma. I was not looking for a handout, and I happily paid the $130 diagnostic fee (no service rendered other than identifying the problems). I thought perhaps as a courtesy, and in the interest of good customer service, he might be willing to spare two minutes to grab an adjustable wrench and unscrew the two bolts holding my faulty tailpipe in place. He indignantly refused, and stated that his employees were making him money and he would not spare them, or himself, to do work for free.Bob comes across as arrogant and totally lacking empathy. I would recommend avoiding this shop at all costs. It was made clear by the owner that their sole interest is in making money and not in customer satisfaction, or even simple human decency.

Great customer service

Today, Master Auto Tech came to my house at 8 a.m. with oil in order to prepare to take my car into the auto shop to find the oil leak. I followed to the shop and received a car to use while work was being done. Their consideration saved me from having to have the car towed and giving me transportation to work. Master Auto Tech has been servicing my cars for years and not only do they do excellent work but they are honest, thoughtful, and dependable to provide the best care always to our cars. I highly recommend you stop in and get acquainted to these wonderful auto technicians😊!

Pleasant on the phone, however I feel taken advantage of because with the repair issues I was stressed and desperate. Id had a call, come talk about your car, no questions were answered over the phone. I get there, the loaner car keys are taken from me, still no questions answered about my car. I was not even warned by phone to get a ride home Two days prior we had discussed possibility of a new $4000 engine, suddenly, upon showing me my car, saying they needed a new engine the price was now $9000. I had paid 500 on an 800 quote and they refused to do anymore work on it. So apparently it cost 500 to loosen a few bolts on the engine to open up one section. Five minutes later as I was explaining the situation to my bank on the phone, he corrected me when I told them the $9000 quote, now it was $10,000. If they didnt want to do the job they should have said that not keep raising the price ridiculously. I feel I was taken advantage of in my stress and panic mode. I sure wish I could find trustworthy repair shops, thought I had initially, but I was wrong

Master Auto Tech was recommended by my parents they have known Bob and have worked with him since he was with Toyota several years back I was told that they work with BMWs almost everyday so for those two reasons I chose to take my car in . The customer service is awesome Nate is really great at his job I gave it two stars because it took over a week to get my car back they had to order a tool to fix my car I asked Nate why they didnt have it considering they work on BMWs a lot and he explained they usually borrow a tool if they dont have one so they decided to order one and told me I wont be billed for it well I should hope not . The second reason for the two stars was because I hadnt even had my car home 24 hours and the oil light came back on so I had to take it back . Supposedly the mechanic forgot to put oil back in my car after fixing the oil leak. So I would not recommend Master Auto Tech at this time unless they got a new mechanic and had all tools on hand so a person doesnt have to wait a week for their car... Also after checking around a few other high-end mechanics Master Auto Tech was overly high-priced compared to other places

Have spent close to $3000 on repairs on two different vehicles and the vehicles while they had new parts on them were just about the same as they were before repairs and on BOTH vehicles all that was recommended was maybe try spark plugs

These guys have taken excellent care of my Mercedes for the last several months now! They are diligent, clean, professional, and FAST. They got parts I needed overnight vs. the local dealers estimated 3-5 days. The shop is sleek and the staff is attentive. Plus free Keurig coffee and awesome dogs to play with! As long as Im in this area, I will always bring my cars (and send my friends) to Master Auto Tech.

Of course you never love paying a car repair bill! But this was my first visit here after buying a 1994 C280 they knew my car from the previous owner which was nice. The customer service was great! We came into Master Auto with our RV for an emergency tire repair. The guys there were amazing. Bob and Nate took great care of our RV and even let us bring our 2 German Shepards in to wait in the office. They gave our pups plenty of water and belly rubs!! They were great about us leaving a water mess and fur. Bob also fixed an issue we had with our driver side mirror. They didnt charge us for the tire repair or mirror repair. I highly recommend these guys for any of your Auto repair needs!!

Quality service, competitive prices, and the owner (who is a certified Master Tech) truly cares about his customers. While I was there to get my car serviced, a couple came in (the woman was pregnant) and they were dropping their car off for service but had trouble calling an Uber. Without hesitation, Bob drove them home. Rarely have I seen such a level of personal care. Additionally, the service on my car was solid, and they sent me a detailed service report complete with pictures. Their location is also fantastic; surrounded by green - much better than being on Auto Row. I highly recommend Bob and his teams services to anyone in the Bellingham area!

DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!Called to get quote to have new headlights installed LED. went to appt, was told 55$ to install lights that I purchased. left vehicle at shop, received call 30 minutes later. Was told lights did not fit.. Came back to pick up truck was told I owed 195$ for labor of NOT installing lights.. after a brief back and forth.. I forked over the money just to be done with this terrible place.. By the way, I went to a good shop off of the guide, and the lights LED: did fit.. Was charged 65$ for there labor..I am a business owner, and I would never charge for a project that was not done.. This place is TRASH!!!!

I own a MB which is four years almost five years old. I have taken by car twice to Bob and both times I have been very pleased with the service and staff. I did not have to wait for weeks to get an appointment which was fantastic. He has car loaners if he is going to keep the car for a few days and he also will take you home and pick you up when you car is ready

So I called Bob, had appointment at 2. Dropped my car at his shop by 1. I waited for whole day and half of the next day. He never called me. I called him at the evening of next day and came to know he didnt even check my car in two days. On the third day I showed up at his shop, he started making stories he had called me but someone else picked up etc. but when I we checked the number he was calling on was a right number. So technically he never called me. He gave me my car back on third day. I had appointment for my car to get fixed.Very bad and non professional.Arrogant and no customer service

Took my car in here a year ago to get the headlight wiring fixed. I had no idea what was wrong with it and Honda wouldn’t even look at it since they weren’t stock lights. These guys fixed it completely though, super nice people too. Though a few months later, the same headlight went out. I brought it back, turns out a connector was just loose. they found out what was wrong, fixed it, all within 20 minutes and free of charge. These guys are always extremely professional and kind. Master auto tech is my go to place for car inquiries.

From writing down my name and knowing who I was when I walked in for the first time to the follow up call a few days after I picked up my car, this place has EXCEPTIONAL customer service. I cannot rave enough about how they were willing to wait an extra 15 minutes after closing so I could get my car that day and their texted inspection report, followed by a call when I missed the text! This is the best customer service experience I have ever had at an auto shop bar none. Of course time will tell if they resolved my brake issue. The price seemed fair and the brakes no longer shake at high speeds. Based on my experience with them I suspect they would take care of any problem connected to the repair. I have to thank them for the great service!

The work was good but the attitude and parts pricing was unacceptable. We had our Infiniti towed in as there was a bad noise coming from the front wheel bearing that i felt was unsafe and this shop was mentioned by a friend.I was given a price for the hub assembly of $200 ea but when i checked the parts price at Rock Auto their retail was $72.79 and Amazon Prime was 77.03When I called Bob back i said I was just curious about the parts price and wondered if he could give any discount . We are retired so have to be a little more frugal these days. He just got very nasty and said thats the price and if i didnt like it he would just put the car back together with the old parts and charge us the labor and we could get it out of his shop.Very bad attitude!!!!!! I was simply asking if he could help us a biut as 3 times cost is a very high markup and i would assume his dealer cost would be better than on-line retail.Check out the parts prices before you ever take your car there!

Ive taken my car here for a while. Each time, the service has been done well. In addition, when they have found the source of troubles, they have brought the part to show me just what went wrong. They also have gone out of their way to make suggestions that might save me money in the long run. I truly appreciate their counsel.

Master Auto Tech has been servicing my BMW for the past 4 years. Customer service and quality of work has been consistently exceptional. Additional bonus is a loaner car is provided whenever possible.

Tried to charge me twice for diagnostic check, (took a lot of questions to get that fixed) and wanted to charge 715 dollars to replace 2 sensors and an air filter (sensors are right on top, easy access, total of 3 screws) when all I had to do was replace 1 sensor (total of 200 dollars) these guys are looking to rip you off. And charge to replace things that are just fine.

I brought in my 2003 Subaru to get the transmission rebuilt. Nate was very friendly and courteous every time I called for an update. They gave me a loaner car when I dropped off the car, and after about a week the fuel pump went out in the loaner, calling them the second they opened, they drove to my house in Ferndale, then drove me to work in Bellingham! After I got the car back, I was surprised it was even the same car. They were nothing more than professional, and I would recommend them to anyone.

The best part about this place was the customer service right before I get in the door off the chain this the place to be. God is good.

Wow! Above and beyond. Someone cut my brake line in my mini van, master tech automotive not only had my car in, reviewed and fixed in less than 48 hours but since I am home alone with my 1 year old daughter, one of the mechanics is DRIVING my car back to me since I have no way to pick it up. I cant thank them enough for the AMAZING service and customer service. I am forever now a lifetime customer. They have gone way above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I have the easiest transition after such a horrible, terrifying experience.

Master Auto Tech seems like a decent place. I chatted with the owner a few times and hes knowledgeable, friendly, and seems to enjoy being a neighborhood auto repair shop. Prices seemed competitive. My only gripe is that they did a free inspection that didnt tell me anything more than what Id get by looking at my owner manuals maintenance schedule, and I had asked them specifically if they would see if they noticed anything that could be making a clunk noise when going over bumps. They didnt find anything and said Id need to pay for a more thorough inspection. Fair enough but I didnt have time then. After I got home I stuck my head under the car and the first thing I noticed was a broken muffler bracket that would hit the chassis and make the clunk noise that I was hearing. Id still go to Master Auto Teca if I needed a known job done, but maybe not if I needed troubleshooting.

I am very disappointed with the service here. I broke down with my husband and two children (2 and 3) on a very hot day, they tried charging $90 for a part, and over $100 in labor, my father later purchased this part for under $36, and installed said part in under 30 minutes. I understand marking up prices for parts, and labor, they have to make a living some how. What makes me angry, is that they came over immediately after my father arrived, saying we had to leave because we were making business look bad.. this is after they watched my children crying in the sun for two hours.. then they proceeded to make my father and myself push our car into oncoming traffic, with my children inside, knowing we had no brakes, or power steering. Sorry for driving away customers, but maybe you should try being a decent human being, and look at whats actually happening in front of you. But no, dollar signs are much more important.

Ive been going to master auto tech for about 3 months now. Do not trust them with your car. When i went to pick my car up my gas gauge was significantly lower than it was. They are very over priced compared to other body shops. they tried to charge me over 3 grand for a new clutch when other body shops are not charging more than 1 thousand. The owner may come across nice at first but once you question him on what the hell your getting charged for, he gets very unpleasant. so just warning you to not go to this body shop.

We own three Mercedes equipped vehicles (CLK-320, GL320 Diesel and Freightliner Sprinter Diesel RV). Love the Mercedes product but when it came to servicing at the dealership the pricing as well as evidence of replacement of parts based on time in vehicle not usage / breakage was apparent.We started searching locally (Vancouver Canada) but when we did not find anyone reputable we expanded our search to Bellingham WA and found Master Auto Tech.To start with you get the feeling that you are being taken care of. Everything is clearly explained. When it comes to replacement of parts this is done based on usage and breakage and not time in vehicle based. As far as price, quite a difference for example on an alternator in GL320 was quoted $1,550 at dealership and $980 at Master Tech.Loaner car available, coffee, nice customer waiting area equipped with small jack russell shop dog to keep you entertained!Two thumbs up :)
