Tasty local ice cream shop. Walk up service with unique flavors. Flavor samples are not being offered at the time. The had beet ice cream and one with cinnamon. I like the flavor combinations they recommended on the menu board. The split cone is a nice choice for one scoop with two flavors. I tried lemon and cheesecake, which were ok. The Oreo and coffee combo was much tastier!! Enjoy

Always delicious! I love mallards. I personally don’t think it’s too sweet and they always offer interesting flavors. I got the Beets and Assam Tea. The Assam tea tastes like black bubble milk tea! Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area and want something sweet!

This is such a cute little shop in a cute area.of town. The ice cream is delicious... we had the chocolate malt, mint chocolate chunk, and coconut chocolate chunk with almonds. All of them were great!

You know a place is going to be delicious when there is a line out the door at 9:30 at night. Plenty of options to choose from, and when something sold out they took it off the menu right away! I went with ghost pepper chocolate, and cookies and cream. Ghost pepper had a very rich chocolate taste upfront with a very nice kick of heat in the back. The cookies and cream was just a delicious creamy vanilla with huge chunks of Oreos and lots of Oreo crumb throughout. Been going here all my life and dont plan on stopping any time soon!

Worked here for years. Cant beat the amazing staff, great owner who takes care of his staff and ensures they make nothing but the best possible quality ice cream. A must stop if you are in the area. They also have incredibly good vegan and dairy free options. 😁 Hot tip, if you see white Russian... Get it! In fact ask for a pint!

This place has very good ice cream, with a lot of interesting flavors you wont find elsewhere--lavender, fig, rose. The serving sizes are good, and there is some seating available outside. Lines can be long, but move pretty fast.

I got what I think was called Hot Cookie - a spicy and Oreo mash up. My goodness - what a combo. Going to find any excuse to swing by and grab a scoop.

Love Mallards! As a non dairy person, I am always impressed by their amount of nondairy options. I really appreciate having more than one option! Every flavor I have tried is very tasty and smooth in consistency. Also the waffle cones are great too, nice flavor and are homemade as is everything else. My favorite non dairy option is the coconut ice and I always make a point to have a pint stocked in my freezer. Its so creamy and tasty I love it! My boyfriend has tried several flavors of the regular dairy ice cream and says they have very good dairy flavors too. Would highly recommend if you are looking for any type of ice cream and the amount of flavors they have for dairy and non dairy is insane!!

On our search for unique and independtly run food establishments. This joint satisfied our needs above and beyond. The staff were super friendly and helpful. In total we tried 8 different and unique flavours and were happy with each and every one of them.I would recommend this place to anybody looking for something different.

Mallard is definitely worth a visit if you happen to be in the area. They only take cash but there is an ATM inside. The prices at Mallard are excellent. Im used to paying more for great ice cream, but you dont have to here, and the sizes are good too. Parking is metered (free on Sunday), but there are bike racks outside.Mallard always has a variety of interesting, unusual flavors. During my last visit, I had some of the more normal flavors, but was thoroughly impressed. Their espresso ice cream had a nice, strong flavor is one of the best that Ive had. (I asked and was told that its because they brew the espresso right into the cream.) I also had scoops of cinnamon Oreo and mint Oreo. Both were balanced so well, with the flavors being quite distinct, but never overwhelming, and the cookie chunks were large and numerous. My wife and I also noted that the texture of Mallards ice cream is particularly good - smooth and creamy in a way that other shops have trouble matching.They did not offer homemade waffle cones, something I look for at every shop, but the cones were really fresh and still worth getting.There is a ton of seating, including couches by a fireplace and a kids table, and board games if you feel like staying for a while. There are two huge bathrooms which are great for families but they dont have baby changing tables (or at least one of them doesnt). They did have stools and short sinks for kids, though.

Worth all the hype and then some. Highly recommend the malt mix, then add any ice cream to make a divine shake. Why are you still reading this? Go and get one, y’all!

Mallards is one of the key ingredients that makes downtown Bellingham so special. Not only do they have an assortment of delicious and unique flavors, but they also have a variety of dairy-free options as well. Along with providing a fun and welcoming atmosphere their customer service skills are excellent, always willing to let you try a flavor or two (or three, or four). Make sure to have cash on hand, but no worries if you dont theres always an ATM available inside.

Meh! The ice cream was okay but you stand outdoors to order it, which is fine, the people that work there are wearing masks, they are on the other side of a huge piece of plexiglass and Im totally immunized and the guy on the other side is sternly telling me I have to put my mask on. They cant even understand what the people are ordering with all the thick masks on their faces...a bit overboard if you ask me??. They were all kinda rude to be in customer service too.Glad I dont live in that city... its time to get back to living people.! 🤷‍♀️

There really is something for everyone. From classics like chocolate chocolate and super vanilla to unique tastes like lavender, basil, and white pepper. Don’t miss the PINTS! While know for years as the best scoop in town, mallards also has pints to take home and share, or keep all for yourself. I like getting several pints for making combos at home with my family. If you want your ice cream on the go, their shakes are diverse and delicious made with all the in house flavors. The mallards building is clean, fresh, airy and a lovely place to visit when open. On my most recent visits all the of signage and directions have been very clear and made it easy to navigate the current situation. I look forward to many more visits to the Bellingham locals favorite!

Ive lived in Bellingham for a long time and this is a great place to get ice cream. They always have classic ice cream flavors along with new ones that are always changing giving a huge variety of choice. There are also dairy free options for those who cant have dairy and the place just rocks. Best ice cream in town. Also, if they have it I would very much recommend the blueberry ice cream. This is a Bellingham must visit spot. They have amazing ice cream. You could get your chocolate or vanilla to stay safe or branch out and try a spicy red hot creamy experience! They have so many different flavors. They also have treats for those sensitive to dairy. The staff is very friendly and happy! Its like an on going ice cream party every day all day!
