This is a great liquor store near Bemidji. The prices are great, and the variety is sufficient. The staff are awesome and friendly, and in general when I purchase beer or liquor I love to come here.

Their friendly staff gladly give you your change back with a smile. A couple liquor stores South, you get a lot less of each.

Anyone working in the area (especially pipeliners) our money isn’t any good here. I was told by 2 different employees that they would save a bottle Blantons bourbon and call me when it comes in to pick up for my husband (they told me that they do it all the time for customers). I got a return call from the owner and she said she will not do it for anyone but her “loyal” customers. She suggested we find a liquor store to be loyal to. I explained we wasn’t from the area but would be here for quite some time. That didn’t matter, she still refused.

Rude rude lady yelled at me for walking in 5 minutes before closing..Update- in response to the Rude Lady’s response. It was 5 minutes before close not after close. I have never been to the store before and walked into the door that a man was walking out. I had no idea it was the “out” door. Thanks for proving my point on your Rudeness though. If you want to close at 5:55 then make that your business hours. Anything else is Bad business!

Charlie is the man after a few visits he knows who you are and they even help you take your purchase to your truck

This is a decent place that has most all of your highly sought-after beverages. The prices are comparable with the Bemidji locations and is probably a smidge cheaper for most things. They always seem to have college staff running the till so the knowledge is reflective and thats why I dropped a star. Have no problems stopping in because they have what I need, the staff is friendly and have always tried to do their best to help.

Staff are all friendly and they have a great selection of spirits available. The prices are competitively lower than the other two liquor stores I have visited so far. Plus they have discounts different days of the week for seniors, students of age and selected items.

Oh yes!! Northern! Your Four Loco products are what drew me to shop specifically at your store, prices are wonderfully set.

An unexpected finding at Northern Liquor as we came for beer... THEY CARRY DREKKER BEER. We loaded up with 4 different Drekker flavors and a new Mango Cart 15 pack. We recommend stopping in, Alex was super helpful! Tell him John and Mel sent you!

This is my personal favorite choice for liquors because it is privately run and less costly than the other two state stores that are close to it.

They wouldnt accept my husbands passport and he is 33. He wasnt even paying. They allow children but not legit adults with federal IDs. On top of all of that they proudly exclaimed that they dont accept military IDs. As a veteran of the United States Army and Bemidji being my home town I was absolutes insulted. Soldiers can die for them, but they cant buy alcohol. I told them they should all be ashamed of themselves and walked out. Beehive liquor is great and they follow the law and treat people like human beings. Dont support these 2 main liquor stores in Bemidji. They also will not be opening for Sunday liquor sales like every other store and town in the entire state. Their loss.

If they don’t have what you want, ask. They will get it for you if it’s available, great service.
