After the recent passing of my husband, it feels like everything I’ve tried to do has been met with resistance. It was SO nice to work with people who went above and beyond to make this process easy and painless. They found the car I wanted and worked with me to be able to get it. Well I wouldve given 5 stars but at first my fiance and I were treated like we were second class citizens to them until we were approved for our car. The only reason why Im even giving a 1 star is because we did end up buying our car from there. It was amazing how all of their attitudes changed when we were approved. It was all smiles then. I feel they didnt believe that my fiance made as much as he did but the second that was shown that we could prove our income attitudes changed real quick for the most part. Its sad how people treat other people these days. I also think it was cuz we are a bi-racial couple.

They add additional cost to the sales price for items that add no value to the vehicle. Like tinted window-$400, but the windows were stock tinted. So it was a lie. And forcing you to take a Benton benefits-$1,900, which again adds no value to the vehicle. So now you pay $2,300 extra for the vehicle for literally nothing that is tangible and doesnt make the vehicle worth anymore. Sad.

Everyone was knowledgeable and friendly. I feel that I paid a reasonable price for a quality vehicle. It was a very easy and fun experience getting my son his first truck.

I visited Benton Nissan of Bessemer yesterday (6/16/21) for an Oil Change and to have my Sun Roof checked out. I was greeted with a smile right away as I pulled in to the Express service area; I forgot got his name. I left my car there. I got a call saying my car was ready about an hour later. Chad went over everything that I really need to have serviced soon as possible for instance Front Brakes & Rotors. My visit was really a great one, everyone was soo nice. Our car had a transmission issue that the dealership bent over backwards to help me on. Even when the appropriate code wouldnt populate, they did everything in their power to get approved for the necessary repairs because they could also feel the issues when they drove it. Chad in the service department made sure I was well informed at all times and showed the highest quality of customer service.

Travis Linton is an outstanding sales associate, I would promote him to a position with more pay and more responsibility. I personally think he deserves it. I think his skills are under utilized. He showed passion, skill and motivation, not only to address our concerns and issues but was also eager to learn about the vehicle we were buying (NON Nissan brand). He offered food, drinks and anything else we needed to make our trip as comfortable as possible. It’s a rough market of under qualified persons wanting top dollar for very little experience.I would recommend them to anyone I know. Especially for the fair and honest trade in price, and holding a vehicle with a deposit for well over a week, that they didn’t have to do. The staff was GREAT! They did their best to give me the car that fit me and my needs as well as the price I could pay. Finalizing the details took a little longer than I wouldve liked, but I am very happy with the results!

I would like to start off by stating that I rarely if ever feel as poorly about the quality of service, integrity and up front disclosure of services provided as I do towards this dealership.In July of 2020 I purchased a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder from Benton Nissan in Bessemer. The buying process was easy and I felt confident in my purchase as I was advised that despite my vehicle being used it was backed by the Benton Benefits lifetime powertrain warranty.Prior to my first service the transmission on my Pathfinder had begun to shake and shudder when accelerating. I mentioned this to my service advisor and was told at that time there were no codes and they were unable to simulate the problem. I was then also advised that if there were a future issue not to worry. The lifetime powertrain would cover the engine and transmission.Fast forward to 93k miles. Since the last service I had several more oil changes as well as replacing all 4 tires, front and rear brakes and rotors. I had my oil changed at Tire Engineers 3 times, once did it myself and I had purchased air and cabin filters from Auto Zone.The transmission issue had at this point become so pronounced that I took it back to Benton in Bessemer. This time they were able to pop a code that the Service Manager said was the code of death for the transmission. No problem right? Powertrain warranty. Wrong. At this time I was asked for all service records and SPECIFICALLY was mentioned a cabin air filter replacement. I was told the powertrain warranty is thru a third party and more of a gimmick than actual warranty. Apparently many customers are unable to utilize the contract as they require 100% of your service records, receipts and everything must be dated and in line with the owners manual. None of this is disclosed properly at the time of sale. Rather you are given a glossy color card about Benton Benefits, a cleaning kit and sent on your way.Heres the kicker.When I mentioned at 78k miles to the service rep about the issue the Pathfinder was having there was a known warranty extension on the transmission due to a CVT judder. In fact there was a settlement of a class action lawsuit that put the extension in place. The extension was only good to 87k miles and they chose to ignore my concerns.This was not a used Chevy, Hyundai, Chrysler or any other brand. This was a used Nissan Pathfinder being serviced at a Nissan dealership. They knew I was describing a known issue. They knew at that time they could have told me it would need to stay in the shop as this was likely a defective transmission and should be checked out.Long story short I contacted Nissan North America. They, based on a few simple phone calls, authorized to pay for half the transmission replacement even tho it had passed the mileage extension. Benton Nissan, which sold me the vehicle for just under 15,000, has offered to do nothing.I purchased this vehicle with the assumption they were reputable, honest and would disclose information important to the care and maintenance of our vehicle. I would highly advise anyone looking for a vehicle to shop elsewhere as I most certainly do not feel after the experience that Dale Benton is my Friend in the car business.

He even suggested we go to another dealership on the other side of town and he could send the car I wanted there if they didnt have it!! We walked out that day.We only came back because Ray, our sales guy, had put in so much time and effort and it wasnt his fault that the GM was a jerk!

I have used this service department since I purchased my vehicle in 2016. Everyone is friendly, efficient, and professional. I know very little about cars and rely on them to keep my car in top working condition. They keep me informed about when things need to be done and always explain why the service is needed. Their prices are a little more than the chain express shops but knowing I don’t have to worry about being cheated or charged for something I don’t need is well worth the slight markup.

Holiday Travels - We were traveling and a thousand miles from home. Our Maxima had a problem we believed to be minor, but with the distance to go wanted it checked out. The service department was OUTSTANDING! They worked our car into the schedule and had us back on the road shortly after lunch. It did in fact turn out to be a minor problem, but it took them several hours to isolate it and verify it was perfectly safe to drive.

My car battery died so I called my service advisor (Chad) and he said they would take care of it. I also asked Chad how to put my car into neutral so I could get the battery jumped. Chad has always been helpful and goes beyond my expectations.Also the waiting room is great. I normally sit by the TV but had to work on my computer so sat at the high table with stools while watching the service technician work on my car.

I was needing a battery for my Nissan. Once I had it jumped off I called the dealership to speak with the service manager John. Because it was almost closing time he assured me they would make sure I was taken care of. I went to purchase a car. I was told I was asking to finance to much. I then received four denials from loan companies. They all basically said the same thing. No credit bureau score available. I find that odd seeing as how I purchased a $30,000 car the next day.

Great experience! We had to take our car in because of a recall and everyone was so nice and welcoming. One of the sweet young ladies made a new pot of coffee for me. One of their financers came and brought us a hand sanitizer and offered a test drive next time we were there 😉 We were told 2 hours and it only took 1. Everything was great and we will definitely go back if we need to.
