After some difficulties on our moving day, we were told it would be over $800 in fees to return the U-Haul to a different location than we had planned. Quick call to corporate and they’re more than happy to change our return location. Returned it to the new location and the fee is only $112 for the extra mileage and for keeping the truck for an extra day than planned.Kinda seems like this location was just trying to milk $800 out of already desperate people. U-Haul Corporate though? 10/10 great customer service.

The Front St location is THE WORST!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!! I had a previous poor experience with UHaul on Chenango St when I booked storage units, traveled from out of state to move the apartment in Binghamton to storage, and was told when I got there that no storage unit was available and they were overbooked despite me receiving a confirmation on my reservation. I went home, waited several weeks and rebooked again for Front St again receiving a reservation confirmation. I wanted them to guarantee I had a storage unit so I called up customer service many times who 1) was just a general number and could only tell me that since I have a reservation # that I should be ok (despite it happening before!) and 2) for those kind enough to help me, they shared the general managers email to me and also sent him messages to contact me. I received NO RESPONSE!! No response to the messages customer service sent to them, and no response to the emails and follow ups I sent either! WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THIS??? I ultimately cancelled as I wasn’t going to waste another trip to be told they’re overbooked. Whoever the general manager is- you are the WORST I’ve ever dealt with and need to learn how to communicate with paging customers!!

We arrived at 9 am for our scheduled pickup. Store to open at 9. No one there. After several calls a manager was sent to the location to help us. He apologized profusely and gave us a small discount. Approximately 10 customers were affected. 2 employee’s just didn’t come to work.

RECOMMENDED:Fast, Friendly and reasonable... Weve used Uhaul for many of our needs and weve always been satisfied with our truck, storage space, etc... Thanks Uhaul.
