Horrible customer service. Rude and bratty sales clerks. You should really focus on training your staff in their customer service skills. I will never shop at Ulta again.

Costumer service was great! i typically dont leave reviews, but our cashier Tanner was super nice and made us feel welcomed! Tanner was very patient and understanding with us, and i hope to see them the next time i visit! (i wish i asked what eyeshadow they were using bc it looked so pretty haha!)

They followed me around the store from the time that I came in until I checked out. I will never come back to this location again.

I stopped by to find a different fragrance to wear. The customer service was awesome and the sales staff was very nice.

After spending almost $100, one item was missing from my bag when I got home. The item was on my receipt. Before calling the store, I checked my car thoroughly to make sure it hadn’t come out of the bag. I called the store and I was pretty much told “tough luck”. This is not the way to keep customers. I am going to contact corporate also.Update - I contacted Ulta corporate and they contacted the general manager of the store. The general manager called me and apologized. They are going to give me my missing item. I appreciate them reacting to my complaint.

Very disappointed in a recent visit. They tried to get my 76 year old mother signed up for a credit card by telling her she would get double points. My mom thought it was the rewards card. Never once did the employee mention it was a credit card.Also I purchased items online to pick up in store. There was a bar code to scan in my email when I went to pick up the order. I was told no we just need to see your ID. After I presented my drivers license I was then quizzed about what were the items that I purchased. Seriously I had the email from the purchase. Just is an odd question. Just scan the barcode from my purchase confirmation.

The employees here are super nice! I came in 5-10 mins before close to get a 21 days of beauty item, and I did not realize that you had to order online. The employee there was patient with me and helped me order it through the app. I got my discounted product after her assistance. She was super nice and didn’t rush me at all. She had every right to be upset especially since I had issues with the app and it was taking forever to place the order. She never once got upset and helped me every step of the way. Great customer service!

The summit Ulta is 1000% better. The people who work at this store are rude and very unhelpful. Kindness will get you far in life. Never shopping at this location again.

Always enjoy my visit to Ulta, very friendly employees, always very helpful and informative. They will walk you all over the place until they help you find what you are looking for. The Salon is also very reasonably priced, professional, and friendly stylists too! Love to get my eyebrows and lashes done at the Benefits Counter too! Save a lot of money with their points system, so be sure to sign up!

Everyone there was super nice. the girl who helped me went out of her way to help me find what I was looking for. I always like going to that store.

Not including free gift with my purchase when I brought it to their attention they offered a lessor gift. Went to local store a min before closing with a mask on for just a bottle of shampoo. I was not let in after driving 30 mins round trip and told to come back tomorrow...I Work for a living! I don’t have time for this! Retail is hurting I would have expected better service!

Visited the salon, which is the best part of the store. Reasonably priced cut, but expect to pay a chunk of change for hair colour. I was very pleased with the results and very nice and professional service, just wasnt expecting to pay $73 for colour. Nonetheless, I certainly looked a lot better when I left. More than thankful for the kindness of the ladies working tonight. I was a stressed out mother completely out of makeup and having to shop with my rambunctious 2 year old son. I was met with kindhearted women who were helpful and courteous. Thank you again.

One of my favorite places! I could easily spend all day in here :) I think most women could agree. They have wonderful sales, great layout, easy to find products. The only thing I would change is make the store bigger. When its crowded its hard to navigate. Im pretty sure thats out of Ultas control though. The employees are very helpful if you need them, they arent pushy or in the way trying to make a sale. I really enjoy shopping here every chance I get!

They have a wide selection of products. Their staff is very helpful but frequently hard to find someone out on the floor to help locate products or make recommendations. But when you do, they are very nice. Like shopping there.

Clean and well stocked

Staff is nice but I took my girlfriend to get her bangs cut and the woman did a poor job. The bangs are uneven (long on and one side and short on the other, super short in the middle) its so bad shes wearing a hat. She started crying today so we are headed to another salon to try and get them fixed. Thought this would be fun for her, it was not. Will never go back here. Dont think the staff meant any harm, they are just not good at cutting hair.

Great store. Great sales. Love this selection. Do NOT get a make up consultation here. I asked her to teach ME how to do it so I could recreate it later but all she did was do my make up (not great) and then acted like she was in a hurry. Plus she smelled like stale smoke the whole time which is gross when someone is that close to your face. I go here all the time for my products but will never get a makeup tutorial again.

As a surprise, I took my 13 year old to the salon for a lesson in makeup and the self proclaimed professional made her look like she was 20-something . She put so much makeup on her, it was unbelievable. Even darkened her eyebrows. All the while, I reminder her she was 13 and we wanted more of a subtle look, but she just kept saying she knew what she was doing. Hindsight I should have stopped her but my daughter kept telling me it was ok.When we left, my daughter told me how much she hated it, that she looked like a man and worried about it breaking her out.I dont recommend this place.Also, when I had a color matching from the non-salon worker, my face started burning and she asked me what I wanted her to do about it. I asked her to recommend another product and she told me she had never had this happen. Handed me tissues and told me to remove the makeup...and that was it. She just walked away.Very disappointed.

Makeup is a beautiful thing. Ive been doing it for quite some time now. One of the many joys and pains of makeup is buying it. When I think of this store I definitely think of pain. This store in particular isnt horrible. The staff is nice, and the store itself is adequate, however the stock in the store itself is utter garbage. Every time I walk into this store is a waste of time that I will never get back. The feeling that I get whilst visiting this Ulta in particular is a feeling that I wasnt very familiar with, but this store has managed to better acquaint me with disappointment. Walking into a store to find out what youre looking for is not there is indeed very disappointing. Thats about all that I get from this Ulta. So, if youre looking for a nice big heaping pile of disappointment, then allow me to be the first to tell you that this Ulta has it in stock!

Ulta is a wonderful store that blends high end and drugstore skin products and makeup. Its fun to explore, and look at all your options for what you need. Of course youll also see beautiful, amazing products you never knew existed, and want those too. 😉 Ulta also provides its own coupons. Super Helpful. BUT...THIS particular ULTA is so frustrating. Instead of a clean, orderly store staffed by knowledgeable workers who want to help you, Ive encountered the opposite -- messy, dirty sample product areas, lots of empty makeup samples, just general yuck that makes me want to wash my hands. I can hardly ever find anyone to help. I mean theyre there, just not helping very much. Its hit or miss.

I used to love coming to this Ulta because it was so close to where I live and the staff used to be friendly, but one of the reps followed me around the store even though I didn’t even have a purse with me. It made me feel so uncomfortable. I’ll have to try the one in the summit or Hoover from now on.

Lots of choices unfortunately I spent far too much time looking for prices. The staff was very helpful and friendly and sent me off with everything I was looking for at a great price.

I’ve tried to call and book a brow appointment three separate times over the past 3 weeks and I continually get put on hold for no one to ever pick the phone up again. I’ve waited all 3 times for over ten minutes. I’m so confused on how hard it is to find a schedule book and let me know a time I can come in.

I love the selection of things at Ulta. I love the point system where I can redeem points Ive built up for purchases, even if it is a very small amount. What I dont like is that there are rarely any coupons other than the minute $3.50 one that is usually on the website, and it only applies non-premium brands, which is what it would be most helpful on. Also, there is never enough tissue or make-up remover available to remove make-up swatches, and there is rarely enough staff to assist, especially ones with knowledge of the products. Based on the turnover of employees there, I wonder if that will ever change. Additionally, I dont understand why the stores dont all get to carry Morphe or ColourPop brands. Those are both very popular and cost-effective brands that would appeal to the majority.

Wonderful service, very kind and helpful with finding what you need at tge price point you want.

Always find what I want at better prices than Sephora.

Called before I went to ask about a natural hair brand. So the girl tells me we dont have that & I never heard of it. So I went to the store myself. BAM it was there, section with the brand right there not hiding. WoW. So I get what I wanted and made sure I told the person that yall need to know what have in your store and train your staff to do that!

Had an appointment for 5:30 with Kayla and got a call at 4:50 cancelling because she wasn’t coming in due to a sick child. I had already driven 1 hour to get there and was sitting in traffic on 280 when I got this message. I live an hour from Bham and made a special trip. They could have called earlier.

I’ve read a similar review to the one I’m going to write so I guess I’m not the only one this has happened to. I called and made a makeup appointment a couple weeks in advance and my appt was for 10am. I got a call at 9am that the lady who was doing my makeup called in sick and can no longer do my makeup and no one else was available to do it. Things happen, but they should have to have a back up plan just Incase something like this happens especially because this has happened to a customer of theirs before who left a disappointing review. Everywhere else was booked up so i wasn’t able to get my makeup done and they didn’t seem too concerned. Ulta is one of my favorites but definitely not this location

Didn’t have a product that their app said they had. Not only that specific product, but they didn’t even carry that particular brand in their store yet. Also, employee told me that the store at the Summit didn’t carry that brand either, but they did.

Most uneducated staff I have ever encountered. I asked for an organic line of skincare with a sunscreen and I was told that they did not have one and was ushered over to the sunscreen aisle. I told them that I had been shown one there a few weeks ago; however I was told I was wrong. I kept looking and 2 more sales people approached me asking the same questions and I giving the same response. I finally found the skincare line, but they were out of the spf 30.So dont go there looking for any advice.

This store has gone way down. Large selection & decent prices but service is awful unless youre there for a makeover or want to buy the expensive makeup. The check out process stinks. Another store that corrals you through like cows, & the cashiers are not very friendly or helpful anymore.

General Manger rude and disrespectful, older lady in her line to make a purchase, customer decided not to purchase and was asking her questions. Customer proceeds to exit her line General Manger made a rude look at the customer as she walked out.

This place is kind of hit or miss. I went when they were re-stocking and none of the employees knew where anything was located. They were talking loudly about being upset that they had to move displays around. Kind of an unfriendly atmosphere.

Went in for a texture wave perm. Left with damaged hair that was falling out in clumps. My hair had been melted and was in dread locks. When I returned for answers, I was treated like they were not responsible for the damage and that refunding me was enough for ruining my hair. I am beyond offended and irate!
