Second Hyundai we have purchased from Blue Springs McCarthy Hyundai. Second Santa Fe beautiful and loaded with so many options. The experience was no pressure and we worked with Hunter and Rodney both men were great! However, everyone that saw you greeted you and they all would ask if you wanted coffee or water. For those who know me I am not usually one to put a review or an opinion on facebook or any social media but this time I felt compelled to express my experience and disdain for how things were handled. I am considering buying a new car and I especially wanted to go with the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited trim. I saw that there was one at McCarthy Hyundai in Blue Springs. I went to look at it and fell in love with it. I knew that I would not get a deal and that I would probably have to pay the sticker price due to the chip shortage and new car shortage. I was going back in the afternoon to test drive as I had an appointment I had to be at and if I liked the drive I had every intention of buying. I asked the sales associate to send me via email the out the door price for the car. Imagine my shock when I read the email and the price was $4500.00 above sticker price. When I questioned this the sales associate said they do a market adjustment due to the shortage and they also added a package called McCarthy Assurance which cost $999.00. When I said that I would not want that package (it included wheel locks which you can buy for $65, first oil change free which is complete as Hyundai offers free service maintenance for 3 years or 36,000 miles and a couple of other minor things) the sales associate said that wasn’t a choice and I had to get that package and that even he an employee had to buy that package when he bought a car. So that was $999.99 for a package that I didn’t want and $3500.00 over sticker. Talk about greedy price gouging. The MSRP sticker price already makes them a healthy profit. I did check with the other Hyundai dealers and was told that they do not do a market adjustment and seemed shocked about the McCarthy Assurance Package that was forced on someone. I know someone has probably bought that car at the ridiculously overcharged price and I also know that McCarthy Hyundai probably does not care that they permanently lost me as a customer, They will continue to gouge and be greedy and people will continue to accept that and pay the price but if I can just get one person to think twice about purchasing and overpaying from the McCarthy Auto group then I feel that it was worth it
Their prices are deceptive, be very careful reading the listed price in comparison to the fine print. I arrived to find the car I asked about priced at least $2,999 more than what was listed, plus additional dealer fees. Further, the car I was looking at was Certified at McCarthy Toyota and they volunteered to move the car to Blue Springs to save me some time on the road, however the transfer of ownership eliminated the certification, something I made clear was important, but was not communicated to me to be a part of moving the car between dealerships. So now the car is $2,999 over list and significantly less valuable compared to what I was originally interested in.Lastly, after discussing the price and stating my cost ceiling, I was presented with a final price that insulted my ability to do basic addition. They presented me an out the door number that reflected the price *after* applying my trade in saying hey we are under your number, even though I had explicitly made it clear that I was using my trade in as a part of that calculation, even being so clear to say I am willing to pay x in cash + my trade in, in this case x being significantly less than the number presented to me. Maybe these tricks work on other people, maybe other clients can be railroaded to spend more money than they realize on a car that isnt what they thought it was.
Andrew Barreto (and team) were great, very easy to work with. I never felt I was being sold to - I knew the car I wanted and what my budget was, and from there they simply worked hard to find the car and to get the deal done. Love my new Palisade!
When you go ask for Skylar, he made the process quick and easy and got me into the vehicle I wanted with very short notice. Staff is great and knowledgeable about what they’ve got in stock and can work with you to get what you want or need. They’ve earned a repeat customer when I need another vehicle for sure!
Similar to a shady gas station on the Gulf Coast after that takes advantage of of a temporary supply chain disruption to raise the gas price to what many people might consider price gouging level when consumers dont have any options. Understanding car inventories are tight I was willing to offer $2,000 over sticker. I offered to increase that offer but got a friendly you apparently dont understand we hold all the card in this deal so dont insult us with questioning pricing.I would have to say I purchased many cars over the years, and have always had a great experience. In this case i recalled my Dad telling me, you get a real sense of who you are dealing with see how they conduct themselves when no one is looking of has no options. Gordon Klemp

My only glitch with my new car is that the all weather floor mats are not available yet. So I have bought new floor mats from Weather Tech. I dont understand how they can have them and not Hyundai. I ended up finding a 2018 Kona i was absolutely in love with, Keaton took us on a test drive and when we got back he made the buying process smooth and painless! Purchase went smoothly until the point the sales price didn’t match the sticker. No word from salesperson or finance, simply raised the price without saying. Attempted to contact the dealership regarding the discrepancy and my salesperson would no longer return my calls. After three separate attempts I was finally contacted by a manager who stated this is a market adjustment. Stated at no point was a market adjusted discussed, the sticker on the car was clearly marked. He stated it was on their website. I can understand a market adjust, but I cannot appreciate the attempt to hide the information or reluctance to return calls. The outcome would have been better had they been forthcoming of the adjustment and would not have resulted in a dissatisfied customer.
Raymond, my advisor, provided me with a video of his inspection, explaining what he saw during his evaluation of my vehicle. My maintenance was done quickly and McCarthys was very accomodating. I will go back.
Shop around and take your car somewhere else to get it serviced. It cost me $1,300 to have them fix the back brakes on my car. I was new to the area and the last Hyundai service shop I went to wasnt out to fleece you. They wanted repeat customers. I just dont know how theyre getting 5 stars. I know some dealers give money back for 5 star reviews Look somewhere else.

The suv is what I was looking for and Robert is a very good salesman. He answered my questions and is a very knowledgeable about the product.My only problem is the Dealership charging a 8% market adjustment. We did come to terms that I could live with.I think I am going to love this Suv, my third Santa Fe.

Amazing service department! Whenever I need an oil change they get me in and out quick! My sonata kept breaking down on me for the past 3 months and no other dealerships could figure out the problem (which was a simple fix due to another dealership wanting to be cheap) but they fixed it ASAP I dropped it off and it was ready for me the next morning and it has no problems anymore!:)

Andrew was fantastic, he went above and beyond to help my wife and I out from 200 miles away. The dealerships near us didnt have the exact vehicle we wanted, so I got on cars.com and searched for the vehicle we were after. A few moments later I found exactly what we were looking for. I have a 2017 Vehicle that consumes 1 Quart of oil every 1000 Miles and they want to say this is ok it is not google will even tell you that and a letter form the company stating it has a bad motor but they do not want to replace it yet you can go in there service department and see it lined with bad motors My radio was not working correctly and Hyundai called me set up the appointment and it had to be replaced after installing it then wanted to charge me 100.00.

It was a very enjoyable experience and were surprised to hear James had only been with the dealership for a short time. He was knowledgeable about the Hyundai products and worked with us until we found a model and options that satisfied our needs. James was never pushy but made us feel that he sincerely cared about helping us find a vehicle that would make us happy. We have driven a 2012 Sonata for nine years and have nothing but good things to say about that Hyundia model and the Blue Springs service center. Its a top notch operation that is very service oriented.

So we went to the internet and found McCarthy Hyundai in Blue Springs Mo 3 hours away.James Barber was very knowledgeable and patient with our phone calls and text. He answered all my questions he actually texted me a video of the car I seen online and wanted to buy. He made sure we were very comfortable in every step of the process. He made sure I understood all the options on my car.I really wanted leather seats. He was able to add that feature to the existing vehicle and still keeping it within our budget which made me oh so happy. I recently traded in my vehicle here, and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience! I had already been looking for a new car for a couple of months, and had plenty of less than great experiences at other dealerships. I worked with Andrew Barreto, and he went above and beyond to get me into my new car. He worked with management to get me more for my trade, and make the entire thing happen. While my credit application was going through, Andrew went out to my new car and removed all of the window stickers and transferred my license plate. When I got to working with Ray in the finance department, he got me set up with an incredible warranty! I didnt expect to leave with a new car, but that is definitely what happened thanks to the incredible customer service here!
Greatest salesperson ever! Dani DiCapua made my whole process so seamless and easy. Even though the dealership was very busy Rodney and Tony took the time to ask questions and they got us into a SantaFe we love. We’re returning customers and we will be back for our next car. I’ve dealt with the repair side too and always felt they did a good job at a great price . Very happy.
Overall, I had a great experience. Rodney Sutherlin took good care of me and I never felt pressured into my purchase. I brought my 4 yr old son into signing the final papers with me, and they even made him feel like he was part of the process (which he loved). Very pleased, and would recommend McCarthy Blue Springs.

We worked with Matt Croissant on a new 2021 Hyundai Palisade and overall a great experience. It started with reaching out to him regarding a Palisade and he quickly sent a video of the entire vehicle. We never seen one so that really helped so we quickly went up there and test drove one. Matt did a great job explaining all the vehicles features. We decided on a White Calligraphy and they had one on order so we placed a deposit. Matt kept us updated on the vehicles arrival which came about 2 weeks early.
