Hidden gem on the bike path. Seth is so knowledgeable about distilling and cant help but share the information, which makes the already delicious drinks even tastier. Creative cocktails and cool vibe. Cant wait to come back here. (Also a great space for private parties!)

Absolutely exceptional. Some of the highest quality spirits I have ever had. Creative, inventive, and delicious cocktails served by friendly and knowledgeable staff for very shockingly affordable prices. I cannot recommend this J&L highly enough.

Great drinks at a great location. We stopped in a couple months back and had a great time. The owner lets you order take in while you sip on their top notch hand crafted cocktails. We dont live in Boulder but it was well worth the drive to check out J & L. Well be back for sure.

Very fortunate to have stumbled upon this place as we were taking our own micro-brewery tour throughout Boulder. As a consumer who is really getting into the craft-distilling scene, I have to say that J&L is truly making a good name for Colorado. The Vodka is the smoothest I have ever tasted, not to mention the Gin is super fine to sip on. Try one of their specialty drinks and chat it up with the owners, they are very friendly and eager to share their knowledge of the craft-distilling business. Highly recommended!

I dont drink that much anymore so really appreciate fine vodkas. I hate gin but theirs was actually refreshing. It was the FYR vodka that really view us away; spicy and smooth at the same time. We e quite surprised to find out it was 100 proof. Wish they shipped to California!

After tasting each one and choosing a couple to trade off between, we didnt care for the mixed drinks (at all). For a distillery focusing on their Gin, Fire Whiskey, and Vodka stating they have won all of these awards, gone to the great events, I didnt understand why they are received so well.We tried their Beet Infused Gin cocktail, could understand what flavors they wanted, but it missed the mark and all we tasted was beets. Not a good thing when youre selling $40 bottles and say how intense flavors are.Drink these on the rocks if you go, or maybe with a simple lemon or lime twist and simple syrup, but Id avoid their version of cocktails.

Great patio and cool atmosphere. Location is tricky to get to. Cocktails are varied and interesting. Took a while to get a drink but worth the wait.

Beet down drink is incredible! Outdoor seating is nice. Its right off a bike path for easy riding. Overall positive experience. Didnt see a whole lot of games or stuff to do so you might need to bring that in if you want to hang out and play a game for a bit.

Great little Distillery set up like a lounge. Pleasant seating at a long bar with unique concoctions made with their vodka, gin and liqueres. Big room, lots of seating, and you can bring the pooch.

Ive had Mississippi moonshine that tasted better. Its perfumry and harsh. If you want some I have a bottle -4oz Ill give you.

Highly recommend their Beet Down! A much nicer place in the summer, since theres expanded outdoor seating which is fantastic. If youve never been, theyll start you off with some tasters of all of their spirits. The owners are extremely friendly and sociable.

Very nice server. They have three different spirits, a vodka, a gin, and a cinnamon spirit. First time there you can try a small amount of each. They then sell some shots and cocktails.

Handsdown the best distillery in Boulder! DOG FRIENDLY!!! We love stopping by with our pups for a drink and some pretzels after skiing or a hike in the mountains! We have never tried a drink we dont like...THEY ARE ALL AMAZING!!! If youre in Boulder, you have to stop by 😁

Owner is cool. Place is a little hard to find, but pretty cool. The spice vodka is really interesting. The regular vodka is actually good to drink straight.

J&L is one of the newer faces in the distilling scene that is North Pearl Street. And while their tap room is smaller than others, they make up with it with amazing cocktails. I particularly like anything made with their FYR liqueur. I highly recommend spending a sunny afternoon here!

This is a real distillery. Ask questions youll get answers. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and the liquor is WORLD CLASS. One pass through their custom still is equivalent to 38 pot distillations, that alone would make it better than anything else coming out of Colorado, or just about anywhere honestly, but they run it through 3 more times (38 × 4 = 152 pot distillations). Its only coming ovee the head at 1 gph too. There is SO MUCH love going into every bottle. The cocktails are expertly engineered and executed and the conversation is always good too. DONT SKIP OUT ON THIS HIDDEN GEM!

Honestly, this place has the best cocktails I have ever had. The price is fantastic as well.Also, any bar which hosts yappy hour, i.e. happy hour with dogs, is my kind of place.

J & L distilling company is a quiet, intimate, and truly craft distillery. They offer delicious, high quality drinks for a good price. Relaxed atmosphere and delicious drinks make this place a favorite

J&Ls spirits are made with love, awesomeness, and unicorn tears. Need I say more? The tasting room is a QUIET place to grab unusual, but delicious, cocktails that perfectly showcase SNO and FYR. The bartenders are the owners themselves, Justin Lee and Seth Johnson. One is a chemist and the other is a physicist. There are an abundance of micro-breweries in Boulder, but, as far as I know, this is the only micro-distillery. Their hours say until 10pm, but they will stay open as long as there are customers.

My fiancée (now wife) and I tried J&Ls tap room last summer, because they were on the Boulder Passport. We loved their drinks so much that we bought all J&L liquors at our wedding reception. Seth and Justin were kind enough to supply us with their mixed drink recipes for our reception, so we made the Beet Down and FyrCide - both of which were huge hits with our guests. On top of that, they let us borrow an unused beer barrel and lights for our tent. Super cool guys, and their product is top notch. Will go back any chance I get!
