Was purchasing a car in Bountiful, got lucky and chose Lodderv Automotive, they were willing to fit me in to a busy schedule, did a very complete inspection plus great advice. Its nice when you are away from your home area to find a mechanic you feel you can trust. If I were closer they would be my mechanic of choice.

My Dad wont go anywhere else cause We know that Were Going to get Quality service done to the vehicle and at a Good Price too and for the most part Its Always done in a Timely manner! And Their Not gonna push You to get Work done to Your Car thats Not Needed,and if so find Any other issues They make sure to call You and explain the problem and get Your feed back before just going ahead and Doing the Work. Also to Mention Its a Family owned business Thats been There For Many,many Years. Which I like cause Your not treated just as another customer,like most big corporate chains do and treat You as almost part of the Familywhich is rare these days Thats probably why They have/get So Many Return Customers... Would highly recommend It over other shops. And if Not sure call for a Quote, I almost guarantee Theyll be the Better Price than somewhere else. One last thing-if You have a Noise or something Your not sure about. Theyll even get in Your Car and Do a test drive to hear what Your hearing or have concerns about,and almost immediately can recognize whats going on or what the issue is. Now What other Shops or mechanics will do that for you? Not very many that I know of. Anyways Great Guys! Wont be let Down...

It wasnt five star but they did a good job. If I didnt have to call him every 24 hours when they told me they would call me I would have given a better review but all in all they fixed the problem they charged right and for that four stars is pretty damn good.

Took way too long to service.

They were able to get me in the next day to have my car looked at. After the initial assessment they called me and quoted me about $300. After the call I was a little concerned that I hadnt gotten the quote in writing. But when I went to pick up the car the total actually came in under their initial estimate. Very nice. No pressure to do all sorts of other repairs

Every time I drive by this place their parking lot is always packed! So I took my car in to them a few times, and now I know why theyre always packed! Its because theyre HONEST and operate with integrity, and they dont try to milk your wallet for all they can get, like a lot of other places do! They get to the real cause of your vehicle problems, do a high quality job, and did I mention INTEGRITY?!! I wish I would have known of these guys years ago! Now, my whole family wont take our cars anywhere else! These guys are hands down THE BEST!!!

They looked at our car for almost a week and couldnt get the car to act up for them and they couldnt find anything wrong. They refused to charge us anything for their services. Ive been taking my car to Lodders for several years now and wont trust my car with anyone else! They are honest and very reasonable and have been in the business a long time so I know they know what theyre doing. They dont try to do extra work that isnt necessary and I never feel like they take advantage of me being a woman by telling me I need other things done and they are great to explain things if i have a question. Had a clutch and transmission sleeve put on my car took them 3 weeks to get it done. Didnt notify me about it being done. Had if back for a couple days now have a major transmission fluid leak. I took it back in, they ended up taking care of me. Besides being in the unknown of status of where car was at in process. They made it right by me.

They have had my car for way longer than they said they would. I havent been able to get ahold of anyone for a status update. Im not 100% sure if my car is just being parted out or not. This shop may be clean but they dont even get the job started when they tell you they will. im having the worst time that I can imagine. Ive fin into a shop with a motorcycle and they didnt tell me my brakes werent put back togeather when they finished and I had a better experience with that shop.

I was an automotive technician for 8 years and got to know the Lodders very well. They are work hard at what they do and are great at it. They are the only ones I trust with my drivetrain. If you are wanting someone to hurry and dump sub par part in your stuff these guys are not for you. But if you want someone who does the job right the first time I think there is no one better not even the big names in the state like Tanner I took my van after the trans went out all the way from sunset to bountiful to have them fix it. yes that is about 25 miles. I passed several places that could have done it but I prefer someone I can trust.

Look no further for the best diesel mechanic in town. Seriously when these guys fix things they actually stay fixed, an amazing thing these days.

I was referred to Lodders Auto for repairs on a 1982 I/O boat engine. John and his guys found my problem immediately and performed the repair for a good and competitive price. Ive since taken all of my vehicles to Lodders and havent once been disappointed in the service, repair, or price. The Lodder family and their employees couldnt be nicer or more honest and friendly. The multi-bayed shop and customer areas are very organized and immaculate - you could practically eat off the floor or benches at the end of the day they are so clean.
