Avoid this place at all costs! Went in for a screw adjustment for my frame, left with irreversible damage to my lenses and an adjustment to the earpiece of my frame that was not asked for. I went in for a quick fix for a loose screw in my glasses frame. However, after leaving I noticed the lenses had been damaged. I went back to inquire about what happened to my lenses and what they did. I waited for 15 minutes without any answer and left with my lenses still irreparably damaged. After further inspection, it seems like the lenses were damaged by heat and now I have to pay by myself out of pocket for a new set of lenses($400)! I dont usually write reviews, but this has been the worst experience of my life, to drive home unable to see (which is completely unsafe), having to pay so much money for new lenses and being visually impaired for the next couple weeks in these already challenging times. Honestly, just spare yourself the headache and go elsewhere, it cant get any worse from here. Google should put a 0 star option!

My Son is Autistic. So it’s hard to figure out what he needs. Dr. Reed was kind and very patient. He recognized a problem that no other doctor had. I also had to come in for some repair on my old glasses and Briana fixed them. No problem. We also had to come in for an adjustment on my sunglasses. Briana was very happy to help. She fixed them too. Thank you optical out let in blooming dale!

Bad service I arrive 3 minutes later and before arrive I calling to confirm and the ladie in the phone said its ok. When I arrive the guys in the front said I need reschedule don’t have any organization and I have my appointment its supossed if you arrive 15 minutes later is reschedule but I arrive at time. I driving 1hour for nothing grrr stupid service.

Dr. Pradilla is horrible, he is confused and incompetent along with his staff. Front desk staff do not know what they are doing, they should probably close the entire shop. The wait time is very long and they gave my son multiple prescriptions, along with the wrong trial prescription contacts. Then told him to go home and order lenses off line. Really, what happened to the customer service? They use old machinery and really needs to be shut down. Maybe they should learn from the Big Bend location, Ive heard great reviews. I knew there was a problem when they had different staff every time I came. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!!! (There is a female doctor that used to be here that was amazing, I am not sure if she still works there)

I brought my titanium frames in for optical outlets to put my new prescription lenses into ONLY. The frames were in perfect condition, I’d had them since 2012 and they were special order and fairly costly. I got them like that because I used them regularly daily. As a visiting nurse I’d be out everyday and thankfully weather was sunny most of the time. Indispensable as bifocals to me I required (as nearly as possible) “unbreakable” frames. That was where the very costlyTITANIUM came into play. So the only thing OPTICAL OUTLETS needed to do was put my new prescription into my old frames. Sounds easy enough right? NO! Don’t know where my frames are do you? No one does. They gave me back some really cheap ($4.00 frames???) plastic something, didn’t even resemble my frames, not even the same COLOR, plastic lenses, my lenses were glass, cheap metal looking plastic decorative something! On the earpieces. I wouldn’t give these to a Barbie doll! I gave the back immediately, nobody knows where my frames are, nobody’s calling me back. How angry would you be? I have all the specifics from the manufacturer to “help” OPTICAL OUTLETS “ get my original frames back ( if they can, if a mistake was made, or purchase me another identical pair) but I feel they are not moving fast enough to do this. I need my sunglasses NOW, not when they get around to it. Very UNPROFESSIONAL to say the least. Extremely poor customer service at best. Perhaps I should go more publicly than this! Had my appointment cancelled twice because they said Dr had something to do. What type of service is this? They didn’t even try to schedule my appointment sooner and wanted me to wait again. I can understand one time but twice? Poor service and very unprofessional. Then they tried to blame it all on the Dr Mary and said she runs her own schedule and pretty much brushed it off.

Doesnt even rate one star, but I have taken my mother three times to get her glasses and still not right, the Opticians do not help the customers on choosing the correct frame and when you question them they are rude and defensive. Its been 8 weeks and still no glasses.

I am so frustrated with this place. Last year I ordered glasses from here and got them in a week no problem. I went there on april 12th and they told me I would have my glasses in a week no problem. After two weeks on april 22nd I called them and they treated me poorly and told me my order wasn’t put in till the 17th. Sounds like someone wasn’t doing their job but I understand mistakes happened so I didn’t say anything. Today my glasses were suppose to be delivered (almost 3 weeks late) and USPS lost my package because the zip code is wrong. My zip code and address hasn’t changed since last year and when I went there on april 12th I confirmed my address with them. I need my glasses desperately I can’t work or go to class without them. I have been on hold with forever. Don’t come here, they have no idea what they’re doing.

I had an amazing service here. Didn’t feel like I waited long, and was well taken care of. Michael did an amazing job helping me choose a new frame for my glasses. I was having a hard time finding one that fit my style. Michael with also the help of Carla found exactly what I liked and what fit my type of face and style. They also really listened to the details I wanted for the glasses. At the end, Michael was the one who processed everything but regardless, I’m happy with the staff, Dr. Heaps, and the results. Recommend Michael (and Carla 😎) to anyone! Thank you guys!

I would give there doctor 5 stars ! He is wonderful always helpful and explain everything !! staff 4 stars, they are. Extremely friendly when they are actually speaking with you( when they are not just sitting around talking to each other - with a room full of patients)this has happened 3 out of 5 visit . As for the waiting time with an appointment is atrocious! When your schedule for specific time you should be seen within 15-20 of that time not 2 hours after !!If you don’t mine the incredible long wait time last even with an appointment . The staff friendliness will make it average a decent 3/4 star experience

Took my youngest to get her vision exam and everything was done very quickly (in a good way) paperwork was easy and explanatory. The vision Tech was very sweet to my daughter. The Dr. who examined her was great. Explained everything to her very good. When she picked out her glasses she was happy there was the type of model she had visualized when she was thinking what type to pick from. 1 wk later her glasses were ready. We gotThere for pick up and the process was fast and easy. Very clean and representable office w great customer service. Thank you to the staff 💜

Very dissatisfied with the time frame I am receiving my glasses.... I was told 5 business days and and now they are telling me it could take up to 10...The employees who answer the phone never show a bit of empathy and are just rude as if youre bothering them or wasting their time. The doctor was superb tho! I give him 5 stars, but the employees, theyre just there for a check. I paid out of pocket, almost 600.00 for eye exam and glasses, you would think Id get better treatment.

Friendly environment. Fast service. I didnt have my insurance card and the lady at the front desk was able to get me sorted out in a matter of minutes. Frame selection is limited but I was able to find three pairs I liked. So win on that one. Wait time was decent and the doctor was awesome in taking care of my eyes. Would come back to get fitted for contacts in the future. Thanks guys. Good work. I feel that you have improved in many aspects given the previous reviews.

This place honestly does not deserve a one star. This is the worse place to go. If you don’t mind being talked to like you’re a second class citizen and being forgotten then this is your place. I’m sitting here right now and it’s been over 2.5 hours with an appointment and I see so many other people going in front of us. Seems like if you’re friends with these people they’ll let you skip the line. The girl at the front has no idea what she’s doing nor what she’s talking about. If after over 2.5 hours you walk up and they still haven’t verified your insurance that’s a problem.I will never walk back to this hell hole ever again.I recommend everyone to never come to this location and find a place cleaner, with educated staff and just different then this place. And when you do finally see the doctor I hope you’re ready for someone who hates not only where he works (I don’t blame him) but his own life. What a horrible mannered person. After seeing the optometrist you will wait even longer to receive your prescription as they go through dozens of people they over scheduled at the same time.Take all this extra waiting time to really put your smart phone to use. Trust me. The childrens frames that are $300 on the wall are sold online for $80 and sometimes less with applicable discounts.There is no value here even after insurance is applied.Then on the day of pickup when you go to retrieve your (in my opinion low quality) frames where you will wait again an incredibly long time.Dont get me wrong when you go anywhere for glasses you will always have a much cheaper option online(as with anything else you purchase anywhere). The only benefit to brick and mortar shopping would be instant gratification- you dont wait on shipping time etc. However, you can go online with your prescription and save hundreds on the frames- add-ons such as polycarbonate or anti glare are included sometimes free and sometimes at a fraction of the in store cost. Then you can pay for express overnight shipping and still have saved tons of money to get the same product faster and without hours spent waiting in an overstuffed room.My main point is dont put yourself through all the inconveniences of this place wasting hours of your time and still overpay. They can either get better on the convenience and pricing side of things or just to continue to lose customers to online retailers.

First visit, even though the place was busy it didn’t take from the service at all. From the check in to the checkout process everything was professional and prompt. The doctor was great with my 8 year old throughout the entire appointment. Both my daughter and I were seen. I purchased glasses for her and both contacts and glasses for myself. Marilin assisted us with our purchases, not only did she get my daughter and I into the perfect glasses, she went out of her way to find me a great deal and saved me money by taking her time to bill my insurance properly, she researched what was covered through my insurance. I am so excited to pick up my new glasses and 6 mo contact supply without walking out feeling poor! I was so impressed that I had my husband schedule his appointment before I left. Thank you again Marilin for going above and beyond for me and my family.

Ive been taking my kids to Optical Outlets for years. I loved the old location, but this new location is a mess. Waiting period is ridiculous, they forget that youre waiting there, or they just dont care. My daughters lens got scratch and we had to leave her glasses at the store, so the lens could be replaced. After more than a week, the glasses are ready. But after being at the store for an hour waiting for them to call us, they couldnt find her glasses. This is very frustrating. Shes 4 years old, with astigmatism (very high prescription) and need her glasses full time. Now she has to wait another week or so for her glasses to come back. After this horrible mistake we will never be back.

Although I had a not so pleasant experience the day of the appointment I was pleasantly surprised the district manager called me the next day to apologize. I understand everyone has bad days especially in a retail setting and I appreciate that upper management does care here and make it a priority to check in on customers. I will be going back just might go in when they first open next time so not to have to deal with back log.

After finding out my insurance didn’t work where it told me it would online, we were directed here. They were extremely helpful, have a big selection and the price was great! They do have to order your glasses, but for the price, you cannot complain. They also offer insurance on children’s glasses with a very small co pay. Check them out if you are in the mall!

He went over all the details for my new frames and prescription glasses. He also took the time to clean and reposition my previous glasses. Ill recommend this location to anyone/ body. I visited Optical Outlet Brandon Mall yesterday. First I was late, got lost going to the old site and I thought I was going to miss my appointment. No I didn’t, the staff accepted me very graciously. We were seen immediately. The doctors were quite professional and easy to understand. The facility was clean and cheerful. Everyone was kind and professional. But the best experience I had was with Rachel your representative. She was amazing. I felt well taken care of. She made us feel quite at home. Very professional, but mostly friendly and put us at ease. I went in with a chip on my shoulders thinking here we go again. Even with a sale of 2 pairs of no line bifocals they were going to do us in and we will walk out of there with hundreds of dollars in debt. Well no way she did not try to over sell us nor pressure us in any way. It was a great experience and she made it so. Rachel has been our service rep for most of our visits and she is simply the best! She has a way of helping and making one feel comfortable with any situation given her. I had a great experience in this office; I might have had an even better experience if some people would control their unruly children or take them to the play area (not far from the store) instead of allowing them to run around screaming in a place of business. Aside from inconsiderate parents, the store itself was great - clean, friendly staff, nice doctor. I will return again next year, hopefully without the inconvenience of screaming children.

The person that assisted me was more interested in answering the phone and greeting customers that walked in than finishing up my order. Other employees had no customers in front of them yet this employee continually interrupted me to assist new customers calling or walking in. My glasses had cracked after just 6 months even though they have the break resistant lenses. I was told they would be ready in a week. It took them a week just to get an approval to have the repair done and ship them out. I am still waiting.....

The past two years my experience with Optical Outlet has been very frustrating to say the lease. The communication level is definitely not there. After receiving my glasses I noticed the transition was coming off not even having it for a month yet. I called and was told I could bring it in and they would be ready in 2 weeks. A whole month goes by with no communication and no update. I call and was told nothing reflected in the system that an order was there and to call back to see if the lab had it. I called back two more times and then was told they should be ready March 6th 2020. It is crazy to me the length that I had to go just to get my glasses fixed when they should have been done correctly the first time and I paid all that money for

Diane at this location picked up the phone and was not eager to help me with my questions at all and it was apparent in her transactional tone she was not in a good mood. I felt she was antagonistic with her questions and seemed impatient. I expressed to her my concern and she did not offer an apology of any kind. She completely ignored and dismissed me. It’s all about the tone when speaking with customers over the phone. Too many options for eye wear out there.

I was hesitant to go here because of the bad reviews, but its the only place that takes my insurance so I had to. I had a surprisingly great experience! The staff was great, everyone who I spoke with was kind and helpful! I did not wait for hours. The doctor was great, the receptionist was great, and Rachel, the lady who helped me pick out frames and do that whole process, was great too! A wonderful place, I look forward to going back, and would recommend this place to anyone!

Made appointment for my son whom broke his glasses. Called and informed running late and would arrive 5-10 minutes late. Informed my appointment will be cancelled and I have to reschedule. The doctor who saw me was very rude and made me feel incompetent. However the lady at the front desk was very polite as was the one who helped me pick out glasses. I was in the office for quite sometime before being seen and before my glasses were ordered, about 4 hours total. Despite this, my glasses were ready within 3 days of being ordered, the fastest Ive ever gotten prescription glasses. Overall it was an alright experience.

Staff was mismanaged, failed to greet customers or keep them appraised of wait time or answer questions with accurate information. Equipment was archaic and didnt even work correctly for the initial eye check by front staff. Appointments were at 4:45 and 5:00, our family showed up 20 mins prior to appointment time as requested and were not seen by the actual eye doctor until just past 5. Absolutely would never use again and filed a report with our insurance company about the business for attempting to retrieve co-pays when covered by insurance for routine eye exams.

Horrible go in for a pick up and it takes an hour + to just get them to hand you glasses you paid for. Too focused on getting to people who they haven’t gotten money from. They even screwed us out of $200 in contact lenses because no one knows what they are doing and ever. The average IQ of the staff is about 30.

I wish I would have read the reviews before going because theyre not wrong. The staff is not friendly at all. I had to wait like 5 minutes before anyone even said anything let alone, How may I help you?.The doctor seems to do the bare minimum to get by. I have so many complaints. We use this place for our kids and I have so many problems. For one I called THREE TIMES trying to get an appointment and was told all three times that theyre too busy in the office to schedule my appointment and that they would call me back. They did not. I had to call the other location to get someone to take the time to schedule the appointments and then request they be at the mall location. When we are there theyre always slammed and not enough staff. We had scheduled appointments and still waited 45 min past our appointment time to be seen and then waited another 30+ min to be fitted for the frames. The website says they work with all ages but the optometrist was rude and clearly frustrated with my children. My two year old was in the room and the optometrist was nasty to my daughter telling her to do something with the toddler while I was helping my four year old. If they claim to be a place for children then they should have staff willing to work with kids. My kids picked glasses and we came back to pick them up and my sons glasses do not fit his face. Im not sure if theyre adult sized frames and nobody told us or if the guy helping us was just being lazy. He kept taking them to the back and coming out several times and they never fit any better and he wasnt suggesting an options. They were still falling off his face. We left and ended up turning around and going back before we even left the mall because theyre not staying on. He seemed irritated with us and did not want to help. The glasses still do not fit my son properly and they were no help whatsoever. Youre better off going to Vision Works or LensCrafters.

Sergio Pradilla, OD was amazing with my son, who is 13 with profound autism. His patience and kindness during my sons exam made the trip well worth it. However, the front desk staff was less understanding of my sons disability. My son became upset while waiting in the waiting area as the lights and noises and being crowded with people caused him to have sensory overload and he became aggresive in the waiting room. I immediately helped my son transition to walk out side of the store in the mall to calm while waiting on the doctor and asked the front desk to kindly call me when it was my childrens turn but they refused. I think a little more training of staff and providing this minor accommodation could help my son and many other persons with autism like him be successful with completing an eye exam. An accommodation such as this could be enforced by the office of civil rights as under the Americans with Disabilities Act ADA, as persons with disabilities are entitled to reasonable accommodations to access the same public resources and health care as typically developing peers. With the help of Mr. Pradilla the eye glass fitting was quick and easy and this is much appreciated!

I just called to schedule an appointment a lady answered and identified herself as Monica, I proceeded to tell her that I would like to schedule an eye exam and that I have Medicare. She hung up on me.👎👎👎😠. I will try again next week, maybe.

This place is HORRIBLE. DO NOT GO HERE. The optomologists are okay but the service is horrid. I went to pick up contact lenses may 3st at 3ish and did not leave until 5:15. They made me pre pay the contacts over the phone and then proceded to make me wait two hours to pick them up. All I had to do was sign a paper and then leave. Sherry (an employee) is especially horrible she checked the lists, saw that we were next and there and proceeded to go to the cabinets (visable to the costumers also waiting) at the back of the store to organize boxes. It wasnt for another 20 minutes after that that we were helped. Meanwhile she was still free and standing around. My family and I will never be back.

Very bad custmer service. 2 trip because 1st one no help or not what she had ask for and sent her on the way. Not able to see correctly. And now the excuse is your insurance. And was told she had to wait a year before she can come back. Well I guess her Insurance co is going to say ok it don t matter if she can see. But we can get payed and you get what WE give you. So lets see if thay have a change of heart because her Insurance co. Also spoke with them. Well district manager called not concern about 1st visit and nothing can be done. But 25% off $200.00 plus now all of a sudden. How come it did not happen on the first visited. And Insurance commissioner is very concern. When this young lady has to get behind a motor vehicle and drive. With glasses she received here and all thay can say is %20 off the next bill. Well lets make the first visited RIGHT NOT %20 OFF. Still waiting? Well had to pay this visit. Now has what the first visit SHOULD OF DID. So there you go. Same rating. Due to not standing buy your WORK. SO INSURANCE CO STILL NEEDS TO SPEAK TO YOU. STOP IGNORING THEM. So you take care of your Costmers. Thats why a 3 STAR rating is taking care of them. I guess you like this review. You had a chance to change it. Not this way?

Doctor Pradilla ensures that you are fitted correctly for eyeglasses / contacts. Hes a good communicator and very caring with patients.I was greeted by Mrs. Palameta who was patient and accommodating. She showed me their wide selection of frames and was very helpful while I reached a decision to order contact lenses instead of eyeglasses.
