Ive had a few interactions with Kendall Automotive over the years. The first was a while back when I had a fault code on an older Saturn SUV transmission. I called Kendall Automotive, explained my issue and rather than having me come in, charge me a diagnostic fee and go from there, I was referred directly to a local transmission specialist for my issue. That type of honesty is priceless and I truly appreciate that. The most recent was when I suggested my gf have her car taken here for a check engine light that came on. As its an older vehicle, parts were hard to come by and they made no secret of that. After diagnosing the issue they did what they could to keep her car up and running and the problem was resolved.Truly a stand up, honest shop whose only concern is that of the customer. I wouldnt hesitate to bring my car here.
They are family owned, honest and do excellent work. Been taking my vehicles to Kendall Automotive for years. They have have done great work with all of my general maintenance, brake services and more. Highly recommend Kendall Automotive!
I stopped going to the dealer about 8 years ago. A friend recommendedKendall Automotive to me and Ive been with them ever since. Owners Gary and Karen are the nicest people. The mechanics are professional and qualified. If I could, I would give them 6 stars for their honesty, quality of work and willingness to help you. Prices are reasonable, much less expensive than a dealer with better quality of work.Nathan
They charged me over $200 labor to fix a part that takes about 5 minutes to replace even for a random untrained Joe. No tools even needed. They do get the job done, but they charge way to much money especially for small stuff. They charge about 40% more than what I would consider a fair price. 15-20 minutes of work should not cost $200+
The owners are so friendly & honest. I went in for an oil change. The service is very good and reasonable. They explained everything before I signed permission & after I paid. I waited an hour & it was done well, timely & professional. Highly recommended
As a walk-in customer looking for a/c repair, I was truly pleased they could look at my car the same day. Not only did they do the diagnostic, they also did the necessary repairs...all w/in 90 minutes! I would definitely recommend this shop for auto maintenance and repairs. Staff are very friendly and approachable too!
Called and Spoke to Taylor about my F250 A/C. I explained to him what I had done to try to make it cooler. He quoted me a price over the phone and during troubleshooting, found a relay that has been over heating. Called me to let me know and I am very pleased with the result. My trucks A/C has never blown this cold. Nice work Kendall!!
Awesome job!!! Thank you for a complete job on my air conditioner on my F350.!!Highly recommended!!
Kendall charged us $123.60 just to check a “check engine” light, which O’Reilly Automotive would have done for free down the street. Then they quoted us $800-900 for a simple repair.——————————We called around town and were unable to find anyone to take us on a Saturday except Kendall. They very kindly scheduled us an appointment at 11:00. We drove in, signed over the car, and were told it would be ready by 2:00. We walked around the neighborhood because we were visiting the area and didn’t have another car or anyone to pick us up.By 2:15 we still hadn’t heard anything. We called and were told that it had just gotten into the shop. When we asked what time it would be finished, the staff on the phone told us he wasn’t sure and couldn’t get us an estimate as the technician was still working on it. We explained again that we were just sitting next door waiting and could they please go ask the technician in the shop for an estimate. When they got back on the phone, they said it would probably be another hour. Our phones were getting low on battery, so we decided to walk over to the shop and wait in the lobby. The diagnostics were then completed in about 15 minutes. Since they were only plugging in a diagnostics cable to read the check engine codes and wiping up some oil in the PCV air intake/on the map sensor, it obviously shouldn’t have taken nearly 4 hours. We researched the parts they said might need to be repaired: a PCV cover and a new map sensor, plus some oil cleaner. All in all, about $80-100 for the valve cover and $15-20 for the Map Sensor. Kendall Automotive quoted the repairs at $800-900 total. They informed us that we had some license plate lights out as well, but didn’t offer to include that in their quote. We declined the repairs. Their staff was very friendly, and wiping up some of the leaked oil got our check engine light to turn off and allowed us to complete the remainder of our roadtrip with no additional problems. O’Reilly’s probably wouldn’t have spotted the oil leak, just checked the code. However, not sticking to the quoted time, not informing us when the time was going to be longer than expected, not giving us an estimate of the time remaining, waaaaay over charging for a diagnostics test (plus a $2.00 “Hazmat” charge), and then quoting us at nearly $1000 for something $100 and a YouTube video could fix has me firmly saying that I do not recommend anyone take their vehicle to Kendall Automotive.
Amazing company and owners ❤
