I brought my car beacause I though I had a leak in the trans. They he ked it out and told me there was nothing wrong with the trans, they did not charge me anything

I went to Continental Transmission & Auto Repair in May of 2021, as I was experiencing transmission issues with my 2012 Ford Focus SEL. I was recommended by a local mechanic, who stated that they were fair and reasonable. Joe, who I believe is the owner or manager, was very professional, honest and sincere. He, or his staff, inspected my vehicle and subsequently provided me with an honest assessment and provided several options. I elected to sell the car “as is” on Craigslist and never had the work completed. I am writing this review because Continental Transmissions was very honest with me and could have ripped me off and done the work when other issues may have surfaced later with internal transmission clutches. Joe’s staff took the time to inspect my vehicle and did not charge me a penny. They also provided the error codes they got from the Focus. I believe these folks are very honest and would recommend them to anyone experiencing similar issues.

Great place, they know what they are doing and its not super over priced. I have had a trans rebuilt and a clutch put in by them, no issues and fast. The only place I actually trust to touch my cars. Will go to them and recommend these guys for ever.

Dishonest shop! Doesnt stand by quoted price. Did NOT program our transmission but claimed he did AND charged us for it! Brought Joe proof that programming wasnt done, and he was quick to write the check to reimburse us (which shows admitting fault). This couldve damaged our transmission. Go elsewhere to a more honest and reputable shop. Lost us as a customer and we WILL NOT refer anyone else to them again!!

Had an issue with my Dodge Journey. Flashing Red Lightening Volt & Yellow Traction Control light. I was able to have my car towed here. They did a diagnostic scan free of charge. The problem was the throttle body.I was able to bring in a brand new throttle body from O’REILYS for $266. Anthony my mechanic put it on for me. Took him about 35-45 mins charged me $60 for labor. Very professional and courteous. Considering every bay had a car in it!!! They took me first thing in the morning and got me out of there in an hour and change. If you’re ever broke down near Bridgeview. Have them fix your car.

I had my 96 Honda Accord fix here this place is awesome if I could give it more then 10 stars I would joe is very nice informal honest and professional he gave step by step of what was wrong with my car and what he and his mechanics could do to fix it which they was able to solve the problem and fix it they really did a great job when I went in yesterday to pick up my car they show me all the parts that was bad that they took out and replace with new ones joe and his mechanics are very nice and professional I am very very please and satisfied with they work and they have a long time customer. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here

Always fair, always done right. Had 2 transmissions done over the years for my company vehicles. Tried someone else once but had to go to Sal to have it redone right. Great family run business.

Sal and guys shot me straight on the problem and gave me a fair price. They were fast with the work! Did not have the car repaired because she was too far gone. Great experience here though!

Good guys, good and fest work,but price ?labor r&r transmission $500+rebuilt transmission $1900 =$2400 for labor?little to high .Parts $700 +tax. Everything around @3500 uff

As a female, its always hard getting good quality car care, and at reasonable price, but continental transmission definitely does that! Wouldnt go anywhere else!!!!
