Wedding 10.1.21: Deerfields did an AMAZING job. Everything was seamless as they are partners with our venue, all my husband and I had to do was taste and pick our favorite flavors. They listened to what we wanted and provided! Everyone loved the cake and dessert table.

I love this place. Breakfast was great. Apple donut was so good. Outside eating area and festive deco inside. Try it out!

We ordered here a cake for our son’s birthday and it was delicious! Online order process was really easy and service at the store was great. All guests at the party asked where we ordered this awesome cake. Definitely will order again from them.

Have driven by this place quite a few times but last week there was a parent meet up, tried their donuts and it was good!! Went back with the family over the weekend to get more. Had no idea that this place served breakfast as well, not we gotta visit again to try that!!

We ordered our daughter’s birthday cake from Deerfield bakery and it turned out really beautiful . There were little confusion and mermaid cake topper was not included initially but they put all their effort to make sure we are happy. Cake was really delicious and we enjoyed. Definitely i am gonna recommend them.

I love the million dollar cake and we get it from the Deerfield location or uses to get it from the Schaumburg location before they closed. This time we got it from the Buffalo location and once I saw the cake I knew something was wrong it looked different.I was hoping the inside was the same tasty treat I am always uses to but just like the outside it was way off. The cake was really bad. I wrote to the Bakery on their website but yet to hear back. See picture of what they made compared to what they should have made. No chocolate trim on the bottom or top was a red flag once I saw it.

I knew from the moment I got engaged, that I wanted my wedding cake to come from Deerfields Bakery. We had our cake tasting two months in advance, and had a good selection of cake and filling flavors to choose from. My now husband and I had seen a cake online. We basically omitted one tier, and modified a couple small details. We worked with Stephanie from start to finish, and she was a breath of fresh air. We stayed in contact with her every step of the way, and she always consulted with us, on any questions she had, to ensure our cake was what we wanted. My family has been getting cakes from here, for all of our birthdays since I was five, and they never disappoint. Our wedding cake was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. Thank you Stephanie for making our wedding something that we will always cherish!

Our go-to place for birthday cakes. Dont expect to show up at 6am and find that special cake. Later in the day they may have what your looking for. Best to call ahead.

Something has changed....Ive purchase 3 coffee cakes over the past month which Ive purchased in the past and they are not the same quality of coffee cakes that Ive come to enjoy. Not sure if theres a new baker or new ownership. Very disappointed and I doubt that Ill go back.

We often stop in for a treat when in the area. This year we got a cake for Derby. The Queen Liz cake is bananas in Bavarian cream, fresh strawberries, light yellow cake, lady fingers and real whipped cream frosting. It is so delicious, it melts in your mouth!

Ordered 3 of this goodies for an early morning pick up. As usual, service was and is always good.

Deerfields provided us with a simple, elegant and delicious wedding cake! They were easy to work with and their at home wedding tasting kit made it super easy for us to select a cake on a schedule that worked for us. It was super fun to mix and match all the flavors to see what we liked best.

Poor customer service. I picked up an order for a friend. The person getting my order checked the ticket and said the order was wrong. I advised her it would be best to call my friend to review the order as I wasnt aware of the specific items. The manager comes out, dials the phone and walks about 10 feet away. She quickly returns and says shes okay with it. She lied! When I arrived to my friends to drop off the items, she said the manager hung up on her and never ever spoke to her! Needless to say the order was not right either. Awful customer service.

Deerfields Bakery baked the best wedding cake for us. Initially, we were working with a different bakery in the area that became unresponsive and difficult. Our venue recommended Deerfields. As we walked in for our tasting, they told us to order whatever coffee we wanted off of the menu. We then sat down with Sheila, who went over the basics and then left us to the tasting. She gave us advice when requested, but she didn’t pressure us into anything. She was very responsive from our tasting to the wedding. Our cake came out beautifully and exactly as we requested. A couple of the guests came up to us and said that it was the best wedding cake that they had ever had.We are so glad that we chose to order our wedding cake from Deerfields!

The breakfast sandwiches are very tasty. We don’t live in the neighborhood anymore but still stop by from time to time. Great staff.

We had Deerfield’s cake for our wedding on July 18, 2020 and we are so happy we chose them! Everything from the tasting to the wedding cake was perfect and delicious. Linda helped me through the whole process and she was so helpful and patient. Our cake was delicious and we were told several times it was the best part of the wedding. We got two kitchen cakes and a small cutting cake, and this was so easy to serve, as well as cost effective! The cutting cake matched the picture from Pinterest I sent Linda PERFECTLY. We were so excited for leftovers when we returned from the honeymoon and the cake was just as delicious after being frozen for a week!

This is the best bakery in the area, BY FAR. You come for the cake, and the amazing butter cream, you stay because they take care of you. Donna and one of the owners (didnt catch her name) took care of me today, for something they didnt even do wrong! Lesson Learned...buttercream icing takes a LONG time to get to room temperature.

Ordered a tres leches cake. Tasted like rum was in it- a wierd aftertaste, totally not what youd expect from this type of cake.

Picked up a couple items from the self serve tables, everything was dried out to point of being inedible. Friendly efficient staff otherwise.

For many years, this was my and my familys favorite bakery. Then it changed hands. I started to notice they were more often out of my favorite items. Prices were raised. They started to charge a fee for using a credit card which I thought violated most credit card issuers rules. This is the only place in Buffalo Grove I am aware of that does that. Now I see that one of my favorite items, a cinnamon raisin Danish is smaller than it used to be. I still go there but I dont give them anywhere near the business I did before. Have to admit the quality is still good.

Love this place! We go here for the wonderful donuts and breakfast pastries sometimes on weekends. We also had our cupcakes and mini cake for our wedding done here. They have a lot of frosting color options and were really easy to work with. They even had edible glitter to add to give them a gorgeous sparkle. I am in love with their cupcakes.. so yummy. Everything always looks and smells delicious here!

Merlina helped me with my wife’s birthday cake. She was the best, helpful and had the best attitude even though I came about 30min. Before they closed.My wife loves Deerfield bakery and having merlina help me out was a great experience.

I went to Deerfields looking for treats that would rival the Great British bake off. I am not disappointed. The gentleman that served me was very knowledgeable, and helped me to choose the best treats. I highly recommend the pecan tart, raspberry chocolate triangles. Excellent!

We order a sheet cake from Deerfields every month and have it delivered to our office when we recognize employees with birthdays and work anniversary during that month. There have never been any delivery issues (to my knowledge), and the cakes are always a huge hit. Im partial to the marble cake with fudge frosting!I also picked up a mini tiramisu cake for a family birthday, and while it was pricey for such a small cake, it was delicious! Dare I say... even better than traditional tiramisu!

My wife and I purchased a key lime pie. It was delicious with no artificial coloring and a nice bright flavor. We ordered in advance (they ask for 48 hours notice) and I picked it up with no hassle.

One of my favorite bakerys in the area. Absolutely loved it. When you walk in, your greeted by a display case with sweets inside, for example I was their in May, so there was graduation stuff. The coffee is great, and so is the pastries. Id definitely go here everyday if I could.

Great cakes, pastry and service

Their baked goods (donuts, pastries, cakes) are fresh and delicious! We live twenty minutes away and its worth the drive. Their breakfast sandwiches and coffee are also very good. They even have a rewards program for frequent customers, like us!

We came to this location 3/1/20 and ordered 4 deco spec cookies a mini tart and a lemon raspb oval. Got home and went to enjoy the cookies and there was a hair in 2 of the 4 Pac-Man cookies. After being kind of groosed out my wife threw away her lemon raspb oval and the kids threw out theres assuming they were the same batch. I tried to call on the following Tuesday got some short answered and would get a call back. NEVER HAPPENED!! Biggest waste of 20 bucks and I will am considering contacting the health department!

Breakfast pastries and sandwiches are good! Customer service and their birthday cakes-not so much. Customer service Linda was very rude. Ordered cake was decorated nice but had no flavor and was dry. Between customer service and cake, I can only give 2 stars. I dont mind paying for a good cake but this was definitely not worth it. I will not order from here again.

I drove 35 minutes to the closest location to order the cake for a large upcoming family event. I requested a low glycemic/or sugar-free cake in order to accommodate my mother who is a diabetic. Instead of being offered an alternative suggestion or referral to another business when I asked a few questions in an attempt to find a solution, I was lectured on corporate policy by an assistant manager who seemed like she didnt even want to take my order in the first place. I initially decided to go ahead and order the cake anyway, but I quickly realized that I was going to have to jump through a lot of hoops and that this lady was not interested in making the process easy for me in any way. I decided it was not worth the hassle and stopped halfway through the order and walked out.

Visiting Deerfields Bakery is a great experience. They are always friendly and the food is the best in the area. The atmosphere here is very pleasing and relaxing. Enjoy the experience every time I visit.

Great brownies and lava cake.....I would assume the shop selling lava cakes that they should not put alluminium coated bases to hold the lava cake ...it goes in the microwave.....just a point......

Their prices are in line with other premium bakeries in the area, baked goods quality is fantastic & if youre looking for a fancy cup of coffee, swing by Starbucks.

I have been going for years and have recently noticed a great change in the atmosphere and I didn’t think it was possible but the product selection has gotten even better! The red velvet donuts are one of the best things I’ve ever had!

Good bakery products but coffee and Cafe has limited and average drinks options. They even charge for coffee refill. Customer service is lower then average.

Still as good as ever. Still over-priced but we go for the bakery experience. We stay and have coffee & a bite and relax for a while.

1st- the girl who took my order didnt take the right and detailed brief2nd- the cake obviously didnt turn out as what I expected nor did they attempt to seem like really listen to what I wanted3rd- i had asked to put the ruffles along the side of the cake in 3 colors and the girl who took my order confirmed it with the manager that we can do it. But anyhow they didnt work on that4th- the decorator really needs to brush its skills. Seemed like an amateur did the cake5th- the cake didnt taste good. It was so hard and just horrible.Any local bakery or home Baker would have got it and done a better job.Its not worth even half of the money for what I paid for !!Never coming back !!

Beautiful atmosphere. Overpriced pastries. Im detracting one star for waiting for someone to notice I was even there for over 5 minutes, and another from a disturbing visit a few years ago with a friend where staff was inexcusably rude and unhelpful to being asked about whether their products contained gelatin.I like the quality, I wouldnt mind paying so much occasionally, but the people-part of it is bad enough to prompt me to encourage visiting other bakeries instead.

Went in over a month ago to get a cake quote and not really impressed. I was expecting more with how famous they are. They kept giving me the run around of copyrights and legal. Why even make cakes if they dont even know if they can be made. Wanted me to call back next day and speak to someone and ask. Hassle, hassle, hassle.Make sure you bring an attorney in when quoting for cakes.

Big disappointment! We have ordered their buttercream frosting/chocolate cake for a long time. My kids were so happy to buy one for my birthday. It was disgusting. The cake was 1/4 cake and 3/4 frosting. The frosting has changed. It is not the same and cutting corners by using less cake and loading up on cheap (not the same) frosting will not bring back repeat customers. Such a shame.
