First time coming here and never again. This place always smells so great when I pass by so I finally decided to stop in. The ribs were great but the chicken wasn’t even cooked at all. My guess is it was cooked too fast because the skin looked great but the inside was pink and red all over. I used a paper towel to dab up some of the liquid just so you could really see how much the chicken was truly raw and still bleeding. I was going to go back but it’s not worth the gas and honestly I wouldn’t even feel safe eating anything else from here . I just want to warn anyone else who may be going to this place to avoid the chicken unless they like it raw, undercooked and bleeding. My mom is currently vomiting from this chicken as we speak. Food poisoning I assume. Very unsanitary.

A little pricey but nonetheless the best love the butchers theyve got a 1,12 oz beer thats $59. Definitely one of the best beer collections Ive ever seen in my life makes me almost a little sorry I stopped drinking

Great local market in Burbank. They have an old fashioned meat department with really great meats. On Saturday they do a Big BBQ, and its great!

Today was Monday ordered the meatloaf special dinner tonight. Was good. The Butcher and the cashier were very friendly. The meatloaf dinner was big portions so I have enough for a second meal.

Great spot. Meat selection is good. These are the places that just make you feel cool to be in versus a newer store. The history sinks into the meat.

Handy Market is the best family owned market around. They always have amazing produce, the butcher shop is great, and they even have begun carrying many gourmet sprcialty items. Often items I cant find at the big chain stores, crescent rolls for thanksgiving, I found at Handy Market. The staff is always helpful and friendly. You cant go wrong. Check it out.

This place puts large supermarkets to shame. From fully stocked shelves with standard and specialty items from all over the world and a great liquor department and a phenomenal butcher department, I have trouble going anywhere else.

OK, so, Im a Burbank native, and writing a review about the wonders of Handy Mart is almost cliché, but they have the most amazing chorizo at the meat counter! The best way to cook it IMO is to cut the wrapper, empty the contents onto a skillet, and fry it with some lemon juice. Im a total taco nerd, and this chorizo makes better tacos than anything you can get in a proper taco stand! Cant recommend it enough! Truly amaze balls!!!

First timers, fast service we had the tri tip sandwich, very generous meat portion for the price, tasted fresh, also had the sausage and corn 🌽 will be back !!!

Great little grocery store that is rarely crowded. The breakfast burritos that are offered most mornings are amazing and easily worth the relatively cheap price. However, the grilled meats (chicken, sausage, tri-tip) each Saturday are what really sets this place apart.

Man, I miss this place. When I worked across the street I’d get sandwiches and salads here all the time. They have a great selection of food including vegan and plant-based options. Their produce is killer, and at a good price.And I still haven’t gone there for Saturday bbq, which I’m told is the best part. Crazy!

The Saturday BBQ here is hands-down one of the best in all of L.A. The baby-back pork ribs, tri-tip roast and BBQ chicken are all highly recommended. The deli sandwiches are also excellent.

Always have a great selection of craft beers. The BBQ since covid has been VERY hit or miss if you go after 5pm. My ribs tonight were tough and the chicken was hella dry. Also tri tip is now 10.99 a pound and the sandwich is 9.99. It isnt a deal anymore

I love this little neighborhood market - its the best in town. Their quality fresh produce and meats are the best Ive shopped around for. Their BBQ is a must try! I bought enough to last me for a whole week! They have a great selection of products and you can browse the isles with ease! Whenever Im there the staff are friendly and helpful.

Amazing deli and hot foods. On Saturdays they fill the block with great smelling and tasting BBQ. While the market isnt much to write home about if you are looking for high quality meats and are in need of a small grocery shop you can make a quick and efficient stop.

I love the Handy Market. Its amazing that a small store can carry almost everything you might want from a market. Their produce is very fresh and the greens last longer longer. The meat and deli dept. Is also great. The weekday dinners are extremely generous and reasonably priced. I recommend you try the chicken salad --- delicious!

The sandwiches here are unreal. For $10 you get a fresh and so tasty and filling sandwich. This is the best kept secret in Burbank and maybe LA.

I have been coming here for years to Handy Market. It has change over the years as expected with new products, products, snacks, groceries items as expected. One thing I miss is the pecan squares cookies they were sure my favorite to get as they were homemade from the catering they have. Glad to still see great Customer Service. It was delivered through Mercato by Door Dash!This order was SUPERLATIVE in every way.I ordered from my new home in Nyack Ny for a Memorial Day delivery from Handy Market to my son & wife in Studio City Ca,We had patronized Handy Market for years while living in Burbank.It was always the “go to especially for the butcher shop!Their butcher shop is choice and they had deals for the holiday weekend. The owner was very helpful directing me to Mercato online.This was my first MERCATO order and it went off like a hitch . I was texted updates and even on the busy Memorial Day weekend it arrived on time !I will CERTAINLY order from Handy Market via MERCATO again !!!

Its a little cramped but they have great selection with beer alcohol produce and the deli looks great. they had really great prices on alcohol and weekly specials on some good stuff. its definitely a place to stop by on the way somewhere because you dont know what youll find.

Great meat and produce offered at fair prices.Over the years, Ive had service issues. Some cashiers were indifferent and others were great.Today, when buying meat, an employee cut the line to assist a favorite customer (apparently) and he neither asked nor acknowledged that I was the next person in line. Another worker behind the counter nuked his coffee in the microwave and didnt ask if I needed help or to let me know anyone would be helping. The much older worker who did help me is a long-time worker who is always A+.Inconsistency is a problem. I tend to not come here for this reason. I prefer shopping at other markets where they are vocal about your presence, acknowledge you quickly and offer to help. This place feels a bit cobbled together sometimes. The current cashiers are great, the older workers in meat are great. Some of the younger workers are also great but not all of them.

Only place in town where I can buy Trystero coffee, some of the best roasts in the world.

Handy Market has a great selection of items for a small market. Their prices are lower than Vons too. And the people who work there are friendly and helpful. Its our go to store for nice cuts of meat, great produce, and hard-to-find items. Their fresh grilled barbecue meats on Saturday are highly recommended! :-)

Great local market with a hint of old film studio nostalgic feel. Friendly staff, they seem like family as soon as you walk in. Fresh produce is always available. Great small deli in the back. Phenomenal sandwiches and salads made in the back. An array of choices that breaks from usually is of mondaine selection in chain markets. A must see if you are ever in the Burbank area.

This little store is amazing. Its not the cheapest and its not the biggest. Its not even the best around, but it has character and heart. Its Saturday bbq is amazing and it pulls you in with its delicious smells. Come in and get your fresh fruits and vegetables. I recommend the Nikita apples as they are the best I have ever had.

Best meat market and local grocer just outside LA proper

The Italian sub I had was really gross. The meat was sliced wayyyy to thick and there was too much meat and not enough cheese on it. Being and Italian from NJ I was stoked to hear great reviews about their subs here but it wasn’t.

I checked out the inside first and found anything that I could imagine from a market all the most popular brands and great deals as well. The BBQ outside is delicious!
