Terrible customer service. The young man who took my order misunderstood my request to substitute cheese and tomatoes for avocados and declined my request, when I said they always do it for me he loudly told his colleague βshe wants her avocados for freeβ to which I replied that I didnβt ask for anything to be free!! I just canβt have the cheese and want you to remove it. They finally agreed to make the substitution while still confirming that I understood it wasnβt free βok weβll do it but weβre charging youβ. I donβt understand why they assume a customer willing to pay $40 for sandwiches and smoothies would want free avocados!! Never going to that place again.
Great place and service. Able to sit and work and have coffee! Doors open for airflow, wifi, even though Iβm vaccinated couldnβt find a place along the street to sit inside on a cool day and work a few hours. Glad I came in. People are nice, coffee was excellent and the breakfast sandwich too. Will come here first next time.
Bad customer service. Shakes and juices are not tasty. It feels like location is the only good thing about this place
The best coffee shop location, feel, look, and sunny space around. Thanks!
Smaller portions for the prices listed, but certainly a very nice place to hang out and enjoy coffee, fresh juice or sandwiches by yourself or with friends.
For the high prices both the quality and the quantity are pretty disappointing, and had several lackluster customer service experiences here. Its not bad, and Ive been to locations in Switzerland and Iceland that seemed better, but this place just seems to be trying too hard to fit an aesthetic and failing to deliver basic value. They are everywhere though so apparently Im in the minority on this.
Nice vibess
Really loved the calm, spacious atmosphere and service was chill and friendly. I would def recommend if you need a place to get some work done or have a conversation. The menu items themselves are pretty lackluster IMO. I had something like a black tea with milk and an açaà bowl. Neither were enjoyable or things I would get again, and Im not really picky with cafe items. The smoothies range from 7-10$ and all the portions here are so small! Maybe if I returned I would try a larger food item.Parking wasnt difficult, mainly metered street parking typical in downtown.
I really like this spot to do some work while sipping on a cuppa or having a healthy juice. Itβs spacious with great seating options, and definitely beats the usual Starbucks humdrum. They serve up decent food too, and I had an avocado toast. It was a small portion but very good. Located in a nice place along Burlingame Ave, this is a great coffee spot!
You have run out everything (tuna, cups for the juice) ! Iron man juice was like melted strawberries ππ» customers service was very bad
Food sucks and juice is overpriced
As a coffee house the quality of the coffee is not good enough π
Disappointing experience. Quality and quantity of our breakfast was extremely low for the price we paid. We walked in very happy, but left with sad faces.
Seems to be nice but I did not stay. Came in for some coffee but the music was just too annoying.Friday afternoon around 3:30 the place was almost empty. Across the corner Philz Coffee is much smaller and not as fancy but was full with a line. Guess why?I hope they turn off that music for good then I will come in for some coffee or juice.
May you Be Healthy all Year Long!
I really wanted like this little Cafe... The ambience is nice.. The layout sets the tone for a great little Cafe that provides for easy conversation, work meetings or just some solitary reading...the coffee is good and the non vegetarian options are wide.. I had the tuna sandwich and it was really good... My two issues with this place are that it is pricey and doesnt have a good selection of vegetarian eats..
The cafe has a nice relaxed atmosphere that makes this a great place to have a conversation, find some time to focus and work or just enjoy the food and drinks. What really brings this down is theres a constant fly problem (every time you walk around you need to go through a swarm of flies; get some traps already) and its freezing in there (close the doors when its below 65 and try turning on some heat)!
One thing to make it better: Be the best espresso stop in Burlingame! How? Take your current delicious espresso and make it the full experience. Put it in a small espresso ceramic cup, the seltzer side water, put the cup on a small saucer with a spoon for mixing. Currently it is in a larger cup, just handed over the is the little things... come on, be the best espresso experience around to complement that incredible lounge experience.
This is a very hipster place with mediocre coffee. Drinks are served in the order they are received, and since the juices take a while to make, getting a coffee can take around 15 minutes. The space has plenty of seating inside and out, so it is definitely a place to take time and relax. If you want good coffee and at a good speed, go around the corner to Philz instead.
Music is a negative.Coffee: goodJuice: Decent (they add ice and use some pre-processed components, but I get the economics, so, hey...)Environment: clean, minimalist, bright, comfortable.Music: enough already. Electronic trance beats everywhere?!?! Even in the bathroom. At 1pm. Enough.
The interior is cute, i wish they had real plants instead of fake ones. Coffee is good and theres a nice selection of food. Perfect if you need to work (the music is loud) but there are outlets everywhere! The peninsula needs more of this!
Solid cafe/coffee shop/juice bar in the heart of Burlingame Ave. Great selection of juice blends and varieties! They make a solid cup of coffee and serve a hot breakfast! Great atmosphere (very fitting for the likes of Burlingame Ave) while still laid back and approachable. First encountered Joe and the Juice in LA, nice to see theyβve expanded to San Francisco and Burlingame!
Cool place. The staff was relatively friendly. Coffee was expensive. $3.75 for I would say a tall Starbucks coffee. But I did like the vibe and Im old!
It was fine. The coffee and brownie were OK but the service felt a bit impersonal, and the lay out made it hard to find supplies like napkins and coffee kids
Beautiful venue and delicious drinks. Good for meetings or Cafe work. A few blocks from the train station, but worth it.
Juice was good. Customer service horrible. I wonβt be returning.
Before my first visit, I had looked at their online menu. When I ordered, they were out of both my choices-the Avocado/Chickpea sandwich & the βPerfect Balanceβ juice. The order-taker seemed more amused by this than sorry. I ended up with a βTunacadoβ (agree with one of the comments that the pesto was so meager as to be undetectable), and aβC-Shot Sweetβ to drink. The bread in the sandwich was crunchy and interesting, just this side of a cracker, but overall the sandwich needed some herbs and seasoning. The drink was heavy on the red pepper, but okay. The staff to me could be a bit more congenial and human and less βtoo cool for schoolβ. I read some complaints that the music is too loud. In my visit, the music was at a very reasonable level. The interior is very nice-comfortable chairs, modern decor-and good for doing work.
It was good, amazing prices. The croasiant was super cheap ($2) and was really good. The people at the counter were great.
I got the choco shake $11 (with tip) and confirm two times with barista that no sugar is in the shake. I got the shake and its unmistakable it had lots of sweet from sugar. The sugar is hidden somewhere in the sub ingredients. This is an overpriced venue compared to the quality that is served. The ambiance is nice and relaxed.Service is mediocre.
Sometimes ordering and the service can take a while, but their menu and food is great! Plenty of seating as well which makes it really easy to get work done. A bit expensive but I think overall it is worth it.
Great place to hang out and get work done. The only reason I dont rate 5 star is because every time I come in an order a large coffee I get told its called pink. I dont really care about colors though, I just want a large coffee.
I am a Tunacado fan!)) Rye bread is amazing, too! Latte and even super basic drip coffee are good. Love this place! Great for brunch!
Place is nice and cozy. But just today while Iβm about to end my meeting with a bussiness partner their music suddenly got too loud, when we asked to lower it down the crew told us that theyβre close already(with a tone). So regardless if youβre talking to people if theyβre closed they wont mind you and do whatever they want to do.
Stopped by for a cold brew. Friendly staff and plenty of seating spaces! Nice for sipping coffee and chatting with friends and family. Will come back to try the food and juices!
Not bad, not spectacular. The latte was pretty weak and milky. Good juice and decent breakfast. The location cant be beat. Good place to hang and do some work. The music gets loud so conversation is also not easy.
$10 smoothie was good if expensive. This place is like a glorified coffee shop with blaring music and the internal temperature about 3 degrees too cold.
Open face breakfast is tiny. Get the full sandwiches instead. Coffee is good.
Really good shakes!
I would like to start with I will not be returning to Joe and the juice after my less than average experience.1. The cashier was nice but the barista was rude and I basically had to make my coffee myself.2. I got a cup of cold brew and had asked them to put vanilla almond milk in it. Im handed a full cup of coffee (no space for milk) and a carton of milk.. excuse me?3. The sandwhich I ordered. The avocado. The pesto was barely there if at all. The bread was far to hard. The avocado was not ripe enough to be eaten! And it was cold.4. Everything is extremely overpriced for the quality. All in all a bad experience.
Really nice ambience really like the interior decor
Very nice interior design. Unexceptional, overpriced hot chocolate. Slow, boring music turned up way too loud. Staff unhappy to see customers.Well, Ive tried it. No need to come back.
The prettiest girls behind the desk, and costumers....
Decent coffee, ok juices, nice staff. Sometimes too loud to hang and work on laptop or take calls. Their food is surprisingly ok, good for a quick bite.
I found a metal machine nut in my acai bowl.. so that wasnt great. Hope they are practicing proper machine maintainence. The bowl itself tasted ok. Not a lot of sugar, which is great, but it was quite watery. My girlfriends smoothie was also just ok. The panini sandwich we shared was interesting, probably the best part of the whole meal. Super thin and crunchy bread. Its all pretty pricey for the size of each item. I was refunded considering what I found in my bowl though. Gave it two stars because Im sure once you know what to expect this place can meet your needs, but its not your typical Jamba Juice spinoff (which is a good thing). I wont be going back due to my bad experience but if youre looking for something less sweet and different or fancy, and are willing to risk your teeth, go for it!
The avocado shake is delicious but small in size and very expensive.
Good place for laptop work in Burlingame, with two downsides: wifi dropped a few times, and rather small omelettes and sandwiches.
Great alternative spot for early morning joggers if more into juices/smoothies/açaà bowls
I wrote my wedding vows here - truly inspirational
All for a cortato, otherwise all the coffees will be served with too much milk. Surprisingly nice latte art.
Good food, nice big space and outdoor seating (not table seating). A bit overpriced, but not bad.
Over-priced but classy, lots of place to sit.
Overpriced. Music is too loud. Coffee is actually horrible...only benefit is great seating. Good luck in this high rent district. Must be a corporate write off..
Cute decor, good coffee, rude staff
Great staff!!! Cool music... comfy couch rsrsr...
Works are rude
Nice place, limited choice and bit on a higher side for prices.
I walked in 20 minutes before closing time and the girl working there she refused to make me espresso ! she said she turn off the machine !I dont think this is professional for coffee shop like this one.
Lots of seating, good food, coffee. Music a little loud of you are there for work.
Beautiful space for relaxing or visiting with friends.
This place is so over priced and not worth it. Go anywhere else
Wonderfully delicious. Hilariously expensive.
Little too trendy for my taste.
Please clean the place, so dusty...Im wondering about cleanliness of the juice
Great staff and aesthetic but IT IS SO LOUD I COULDNT EVEN HEAR THE MUSIC IN MY IN-EARBUDS. SO LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, but wouldnt go back.
Spectacular, as always.
12/14/19 The young man making coffee needs some lessons in customer service the entire crew this morning SLOW SLOWvery disappointing
