This is one of the best gaming stores in New England. Easily the best selection of board games anywhere.
Epic local spot with super helpful staff. Ive never been to any of their events but Ive heard great stuff.Honestly, Burlington is lucky to have a spot this dope.If youre into table top gaming or board games, go, its an institution.
Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, and the best sets of dice a man could ask for! Highly recommend to anyone who, like me, enjoys board game stories.
Cool shop, nice staff and big mtg players. Wish there was more modern or standard play instead of just edh but they even have a singles person come and sell on Fridays and carry other games too. Got to check out a Warhammer board for the first time and they showed me how they made and painted it all. Worth checking out to get your fantasy kick
I love this store! The staff is great and the product is high quality.
Innistrad: Midnight Hunt pre-release. Always a good time with great staff.
Terrible, rude service, staff takes forever to answer customers when involved in personal conversations. They will also yell at you for cussing/your playmat art/using proxies. Go to VGA instead
New to Burlington, been in twice in the last 2 weeks. Great selection of board games! Staff was friendly and offered to help. Ill definitely be back and have told all of my new board game friends where to go. Thank you!
Great game selection!
Super nice dude. Helpful and accommodating. So much selection in house. Love coming here!
Friendly staff to help with all your gaming needs. As well fresh stock on mostly anything table top related.
Quarterstaff games has been a Burlington staple for as long as I can remember. Very good selection, great gaming space, and friendly and helpful staff.
Super friendly staff! Very knowledgeable in their games and very helpful answering my questions!
Loved this place!
Always the best service, conscious of covid regulations and very friendly.
Got to give love for the local game shop. Nice selections.
Friendly staff and great selection of tabletop games and accessories!
Extremely helpful! Plenty of great board games!
This is a great store. Very knowledgeable staff, and very friendly. Its definitely worth a trip in just for the store merchandise, but the real highlight is the gamers space. They maintain a very high code of conduct, and take it seriously. Ive had several (elementary school aged) students attend gaming sessions there, and they have all had excellent experiences. Some have gone in to trade magic cards and, rather than taking advantage of the inexperience, the older gamers have advised them on how to fairly evaluate trades. As a teacher, I often recommend this place to parents, and everyone I have sent has had a similar, positive experience.
Great selection. Knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Gaming and demo area. Daily events. I was planning a surprise D&D game for my husbands birthday, and had no idea what I was doing. I got superior guidance from Jason, and he even put me in touch with the go-to DM in the area for special events. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Always a 5 star experience, staff are friendly and get you excited about your hobbies. The environment is safe and precautions during COVID are perfect.
Jordan is awesome. Great online service.
Very cool game store
A pretty cool place! I was in for vacation and had to check out the local game store. A very good selection of paints.
Great to see a game store so involved with the community. They host a wide variety of game nights. Staff have been friendly in my experience, and always willing to answer questions. The sort of LGS that you hope to have in town. As a strictly tabletop player, I do wish their miniature selection was a little better, but certainly nothing to lose a star over.
Love it
One of the best FLGs I have ever been to! Super friendly staff, nice collection and love the old fashion wooden smell!Better than all the competition around. (even though there isn’t really even a whole lot in Vermont)
Has the potential to be great.Nice selection. The staff could be more attentive and welcoming though.Just saying hi makes the world of a difference.
Its always a great visit to Quarterstaff. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable and they have a great selection of games and minis.
Great place for hobbiests and gamers. The space is well organized, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the store promotes an atmosphere where you can jump into any game or talk to anyone and feel welcome.Could not recommend a better store.
Quarterstaff is the one-stop shop for gaming. Whenever I need a magic pack, to sneak a game in after work, or want to look for new games to play this is where I go! They have leagues on occasion that are always a good time. Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I havent had a bad experience yet!
A large gaming area for free play, tournaments and events accompany a broad assortment of board games, miniatures and card games. This store is always looking to welcome new gamers and support the existing community. Worth buying local instead of Amazon.
Quarter staff has been serving Burlington as a game store for a very long time and it shows in the staffs knowledge. They carry a large variety of Magic singles and have a very good board game selection. They also carry a wide variety of miniatures (40K, Warhammer, Legion, etc.). They have open gaming space across the hall.
My favorite store for tabletop gaming
Awesome selection of items! Very welcoming staff. Awesome to have stopped by and just browsed.
This place was like a second home to me. I miss having a place this welcoming to play games at. The staff are all extremely helpful and above all friendly. No place on Earth I miss having more.
Just go. Best place ever. Get all the dice
A nice space with open gaming room and a store library of games. Helpful staff.
Huge space for magic, but less space for board games. Staff seemed to chat about recent comic movie loudly spoiling the plot for any customer nearby. Selections was poor and prices was average.
Friendly staff, good array of nerd merchandise, well kept game space
A little slice of tabletop gaming heaven, this is the store you wish you had in your town. They have a great selection of board games for all ages, and have plenty of miniatures and model kits for Warhammer 40k, Gundam, and more. They also have game nights every week. A great place to check out, whether youre just visiting Burlington or live there.
The premier gaming store for the Burlington metro area, theyve cornerer the market with their friendly staff, well organized shop, and a deep dedication to inclusiveness that really reflects the diversity of Burlington on the whole. The only real complaint one could have is that their supplies run low at times. But thats simply because of the mass foot traffic and popularity of the store itself. Whether its Warhammer 40K or MtG, Dungeons and Dragons or Star Wars, they will have what you need.
Dice, books, cards, figures, and playing space? Theyve got you covered. Really great staff who are super knowledgeable and really helpful. So whether youre new to your game or just want to brush up on some skills, this is the place to go.
This place has a great selection and a knowledgeable staff. I always stop by when Im in Burlington. They specialize in Magic the Gathering, among other things.
Great selection of board games. Friendly and helpful staff. The store can be a little hard to find, just have to go upstairs once you enter the main door.
Been coming here sense i was a little kid. The crew is great and makes you feel like family.
The premiere Favorite Local Game Store (FLGS) in Burlington, right on Church Street. Competitive prices (especially if you join the membership), and a well-stocked, frequently rotating selection of fresh games, Magic, Star Wars games, etc. Also, Warhammer supplies, etc. Highly recommended -- and dont forget the comic book shop downstairs. Nightly gaming events are also a big draw. Parking is available around Church Street -- free in the lot on Bank Street on Sundays & Holidays (Burlington is like that!). Highly recommended!
Great, friendly staff. Everything for war hammer to magic to board games. You can expect MSRP for most things, but their insight is worth slightly higher price than online.
A little Warhammer-heavy, but basically a supportive, fun, well-run game store. Friendly, amazing staff. Tournaments. Great attitude. Kind to newbs of all types.
I love QuarterStaff Games. Period. Its the only place within a decent distance that sells Magic the Gathering + MUCH more. 5 *s from me.
Awesome little gameshop. Variety of games and minis for every nerd.
Quarterstaff offers a wide variety of board and card games, Magic the Gathering cards, and paints and figurines. The employees there are friendly and helpful, and will gladly work with you for as long as you need.Quarterstaff also holds various game nights, sponsored tournaments, and other community inclusive gatherings.
Lots of great stuff and staff was friendly
This is burlingtons main game shop for mtg, warhammer, etc. Friendly staff and impressive selection given their size.
Great store, friendly staff. Nice selection of all your board, card and miniature game needs.
Friendly staff and a great selection of all things tabletop gaming.
Great staff, great community, very accommodating. Love the store.
The best gaming store for MTG in Vermont.
Great boardgame spot little on the pricy side but to be expected for covering the absurd cost to have church street retail. Knowledgeable staff and host to analog gaming of all kinds.
Lots of coises from card games to board games, great staff
Quarterstaff might have some of the best collection/selection in Chittenden county. But their Customer service is A joke. They wont acknowledge you when you walk in, not even a hi or hello. Then rolls his eyes when asked a question. Just crap service as of 2/03/17. Needless to say they lost business. And are going to lose more if it continues. Oh and final note when you take cards out of sleeves dont just toss them back across the counter. I have a half a mind to be confrontational
Expect the most helpful gaming experts in the region!
I love this place
Good selection of games and minaturesand supplies. They have a room across the hall for open gaming.
Super helpful and knowledgeable staff. Tons of board games, miniatures, dice, and books.
Affordable board games for every age.
Awesome selection, really polite and courteous staff
Longtime center of Burlington gaming. The very large gaming area make this more than just a place to buy games.
Good selection, including some somewhat unique offerings. Comfy looking gaming room, though I didnt get a chance to use it.
A wargamers paradise, with paints and tables and terrain galore. They have a decent RPG selection and staff was friendly.
While they can be a little pricey for some things they hit MSRP or market value for most of their goods. The employees are very friendly and the events they host are always a good time!
Fantastic store. Best in Vermont by far, especially for Magic the Gathering and Miniatures. Great employees (hilarious people), and a great competitive atmospheres for gamers. FNMs generally see 20-25 people, and wednesday night booster drafts generally see upwards of 20 people as well. Prereleases see around 200 over the course of a weekend. Really fun, great items for sale. Right on Church Street, too.
Based on the past couple of experiences, Ive decided to change my review to be more positive. Staff seems more attentive and engaged in transactions.
Good prices, decent selection
This is the third time I have gone here to try and pick up new comics. And they have yet to sort through them and refused toss the 2 comics I wanted until after they went through them. Sorting they said would be done in 3 hours from when I entered. No thank you!
Impressive selection of hobby board and card games!
Great store, good selection of MTG items and more.
Excellent staff, fun fnm, good selections, and a wonderful decor!
Awesome shop, great and knowledgeable staff!
Selection of items are good, expensive, as is any tabletop gaming score. An employee had said I would be contacted when a then out of stock book was in, but I had never received information about it again.
Good selection of games but hard to get to, parking can be expensive and the stairs...
The place to go for board games and card games
Staff tries to be helpful but are often distracted with inventory and hosting responsibilities.
