Hannaford has been my favorite shopping store for years but since they updated everything, its one of the least grocery store I go. Theyre unorganized, not enough cashiers, the prices are incredible high!!!! Theyre selling food with mold! Its really not the cashiers fault because theyre wonderful and they go out of theyre way to make your service good!! These girls and guys work so hard that theyre actually overworked!!!! Its not fair to them!! Management needs to improve desperately soon!!

This is the worst Hannaford Ive been to. Theyve been remodeling since last spring! They sell a lot of expired items. The meat and produce sections are bad. (Spoiled or moldy) Theres never enough employees working. And they dont have the same amount of product as other stores. I hate that this is the only option on the Avenue because its terrible.

Great place has everything but this rude women at the register yelled at me and then started being rude to my mother. I’m 24 and feel as though I’ve never been treated with such disrespect. My mother and I agreed we won’t return to the store until the employee(Marie) is no longer working at the register.

Nice assortments of fresh veggies n fruits. Store is nice and clean. They do have a bathroom. A nice assortments of already made meals, so you dont have to cook, if you dont feel like it.

About 2 weeks ago, Christy M. went out of her way to help me when I left my cash back in the checkout. She found me in the parking lot and then gave me my cash. Very professional demeanor. I will remember this store and this visit

Came in your store to shop for a family member today . Did not have her savings card with me, I don’t have a savings card as I live out of state . Told self check clerk I’d sign up he said it doesn’t work that way you have to do it online . Well I’m at check out so that’s not possible . Is there a store card to use ? No store card. Left items behind in cart . Went to Price Chopper in Colchester got all my items and offered use of their store card ! Pay attention Hannaford that’s how it’s done . PC will be more go to store when I’m in town .

Michael in the health foods section was able to help me find an item I was looking for! He was super awesome and explained how the natural foods area would be dispersing and eloquently explained why! Thank you for the help!!

I came to pick up an order from the deli. They had got it wrong, and to make up for that they gave me a free rotisserie chicken! Very nice people.

Nice folks work there. The shelves are stocked and the selection is great.

They run out of things all the time. Simple things, like Crystal light or cashew milk. Empty spots on the shelves for days at a time. Ive purchased products 3 times lately that I noticed were expired after I got them home. I returned them for a refund, noticed the next day while shopping again that the product was still on the shelf. Checked it... yup those were expired as well. Thats just dangerous. What does the manager do there?

This place on North Ave is my go to shopping center. The staff here is A++++++. Everyone is kind and helpful and remembers you. The store is clean and organized and well stocked. The freshly made food is always delicious. Highly suggest as a grocery store.

So today I had one of those horrifying moments at the register where I had the wrong card and had no money...my groceries were bagged in my bags and rung up I thought my card May be in the car I asked them to suspend the transaction so i could look. It wasnt but it only took me a few minutes to get it. Upon reentering the store I went to the service desk paid for the suspended transaction and proceeded to the candy machines where my children picked out a reward for being such good sports...however the lady who seemed to be in charge is openly talking about me demeaningly stating who does that? As im standing there no less...truly it happens get real. This was completely unprofessional and extremely rude. I must say I am highly disappointed in the behavior and treatment I experienced to!

Very limited selection of products. There is usually only one name brand of an item and its store brand counterpart. Their covid restrictions have made it seem even more crowded. The best thing they have going is being the only grocery store in the area.

Place is pretty solid. Staff is pretty awesome as well especially Sue and Theresa from the front end.

Best supermarket in the area besides the market 32 on shelburne rd. Excellent selection, nice prices, could be a little better due to size of this EVERYTHING IN STOCK SUPERSTORE! Every no salt and non sugar sodas & butters type of items other stores do not have!

Been shopping here for years for my weekly “big shop” great store, usually very well stocked and clean. i am editing my review from 5 stars to 3 because of some incredibly rude customer service this weekend. my cashier Maria was extremely upset when i touched the plastic divider on the check out belt, even after I apologized. I understand that it was a very busy and stressful weekend in the grocery world, but you should never make a customer feel like they’ve done something wrong! how am I supposed to know you don’t want me to move the divider, that’s a normal thing people do? again, i know it had been a hard week in the world of groceries, i work at a grocery store myself. thank you for all of the hard work you must be putting in during these trying times.

This grocery store is perfect, not too big and not too small. I love the seafood area. Never had a bad customer service experience here. They are just awesome.

Since they removed several lanes for replacement self-checkouts the wait is much longer and much more frustrating. The self-checkouts are good if you have staff there to monitor it, but you dont, so the system flakes out and requires help or you need to check ID and then you wait for someone to come over from another area to reset the system to allow you to continue to checkout. It simply takes too long and takes away from the automation. The staff is very nice and the store is great but you have to fix the self checkouts situation. One staff member for 4 units should increase the speed you get people through the store; which is what people want.

Good market. Clean store, great staff but they keep eliminating certain foods as soon as you start really liking them. Its a bummer since some cant be substituted and it happens a lot.

They seem to have a decent selection. I would do 5 stars, except their gluten free section has done away with various flours that I could buy individually, in order to make my own blends. Now they only sell premade flour mixes like King Arthur and One 4 One. Their sushi bar has improved.

Kinda small but its a cool store with all the necessities . Self checkout works and is speedy.. I wish they had larger boxes of corn dogs but other than that magical place

Some items out of stock, typically staffed by grumpy entitled people, and customer service sucks. This review is only for this particular Hannaford supermarket on North Ave in Burlington VT...The only reason I gave 3 stars is because I was pleasantly surprised that they had a we did it minority working register which was so friendly and efficient at her job! Wish I remembered her name!!

I was so happy to walk in here the day after visiting the worlds saddest Price Chopper in nearby Colchester. This grocer is conveniently located amongst other shopping and also a liquor store.This Hannaford is pretty decent and should fulfill most of your grocery shopping needs. I like that the store is somewhat renovated and kept up too, its not all that different than the one in my hometown in the suburbs of Albany, NY.The produce section was very nice and they even have multiple Kombuchas on tap.Id describe the bakery section as average, but its handy if you are in a pinch. The breads for sale looked nice.We spotted sushi, hot food bar and an olive bar. This is Vermont, so they had a nice selection of maple syrups.Our visit was quick since we only needed a couple of things, but this was a well stocked grocery spot.

Very good customer service today involving the mispricing of some groceries. Turned out it was my mistake but they recognized my confusion anyway.

Speedy pharmacy!

I shop there as if it was a convenient store because its cheaper than the Mobile store. Still the prices are extremely high and they never have good sales like Price Chopper or Shaws, hence the reason why I shop for my weekly grocery at those two stores. Also they are nice but they tend to not concentrate on the customer, constantly talking amongst themselves or too long to the customer before you. The bagging there sucks too, back a few years there was a young woman who won the bagging contest and ever since she left the bagging is awful.

Well, lets see. I just learned that was short change at the register. I wasnt paying full attention at when receiving my change. It wasnt until I return home several miles away that every realize that then I had to return and wait for 15 20 minutes for them to count the register to find out that they had in fact shortchanged me and all I got was a simple sorry.

Very clean and friendly service

I visit this grocery store several times a week. Its a nice, clean store that carries a variety of groceries. I wish that they would do a better job at keeping certain products stocked. Often times I go in to find two or three items on my list unavailable until their next delivery.For the most part the employees are friendly and very helpful. Ive had a couple of unpleasant interactions at this store, but typically any problems that arise are resolved quickly and efficiently.I love the store policies! If something is wrong with one of their Hannaford brand products or even if you just dont like the taste of a Hannaford item you bought, they will not only refund your money but give you DOUBLE the cash back. I buy a lot of Hannaford brand Items now, knowing that if I dont care for it I can simply do a return or exchange.

Meat is fresh and has better deals than some other store I get my Hamburger there all the time cause its cheap on the price

Produce leaves a lot to be desired. Many items higher priced than other stores. Finally selected salad in a bag for lunch. Got home to find brown edges. Tomatoes were red but hard, and loaf of bread was already stale. All things purchased were within their sell by date.

What a bad day didnt get to have Christmas dinner with my family cause my turkey was rotten...

Continued changes in the product line up make this store unreliable. Many items have been discontinued as the Dutch firm that bought Hannys moves the product line to higher margin goods. On a Friday night having only 1 regular register and 1 14 items or less register open and both of them with long lines and one person at each one holding up the line by not having enough money to buy their food...instead of doing SOMETHING/ANYTHING to help get all of the waiting customers (who have been standing in line for over 10 minutes and have tried switching between the 2 registers only to find the same issue holding up the other line)....the manager not only does absolutely nothing to help all of the waiting customers (most of which only have a few items in their hands), but she seems to find it amusing that people are clearly upset. She also allows the customer at the quick checkout to attempt to run the same food stamp card 5 times even though it has CLEARLY said 5x that there is not enough funds! She allows the customer at the only other register to slowly go back through her CART FULL of grocery bags one bag at a time and allows this customer to just stand there debating each individual item in her cart! This is a common theme in the Burlington area, where management knows absolutely nothing about TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Hannaford needs to be much more selective of the employees they hire as they are the faces of their company! Im pretty sure Hannaford lost at least 20 customers last night due to the serious, complete lack of customer service, ESPECIALLY coming from a manager!!

Not much love for this place. I go there only because its close to my house. The aisles are very narrow, so its hard to get around when theres others in the same aisle; its very pricey; it has a poor selection of goods; and the quality of the meat could be improved.

I go here to do my shopping. But I dont have a car and so I have to take the bus. At first there was no problems. But then, about a year later, they came up with this idea to make the carts stop rolling at the end of the parking lot. This is very annoying and inconvenient for the people who take the bus. Not to mention, the bagging there is absolutely TERRIBLE.
