Do not trust them when you are buying tomatoes. I bought tomatoes on sale for 99 cents per lb. Got home to find they charged me $2.99 per lb for hydro tomatoes. It was local OH tomatoes that were on sale, and what I purchased. Went in to get it corrected, got home and again found they still overcharged me saying I bought Ark tomatoes and charged me $1.79 per lb for them. I have had this problem before with another Giant Eagle and charging for hydro tomatoes when they were not, but it was corrected the first time. To drive back and get it corrected again, I will be in the hole for gas cost.Amendment to my original review: Gave one more star now but not for the particular store. It was for Giant Eagle in general. I wrote a complaint in one of their online surveys and this morning I received an apology email along with they have credited me $6 onto my Advantage card for the troubles I had. Giant Eagle in whole is a good company and will make things right. Shopping there is a little expensive, but what is not expensive now a days? I probably will steer clear of this particular store, but definitely will continue to shop at their other locations. Walmart does not have everything! Lol

We typically do not go to this Giant Eagle and we will never again.... and from the way the employees were talking specifically Mary and Haylee, Im sure they wont mind. My toddler was having a full on melt down, my husband was doing the best he could to manage the situation while I quickly grabbed what we needed, which I didnt realize their store doesnt carry very many items.... Anyhow I get in the checkout line with my one year old and my groceries while my husband is still with my other toddler, only to hear Mary gossiping how she would parent the situation better. I proudly claimed his as mine, tantrums dont bother me they are a part of life for toddlers. She shouldnt be so quick to judge whos to say he doesnt have a sensory disorder? Dont be so quick to judge and maybe next time keep your thoughts to yourself...

I love shopping here. Plus I dont use my credits for gas because it pays you more to get extra money off of your groceries. The store is very clean also.

I love to go to Giant Eagle everything is in place and everything has a place this is my go to grocery store. This store is not as crowded as walmart, I cant do large crowds of people. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

This is the 2nd time I have shopped at this Giant Eagle since moving to Butler. Lets just say I will not be returning unless there is an actual zombie apocalypse. They need to shut this one down and put it out of its misery.

Staff are super friendly! I always worry cause usually Im the only 👋🏾 person in the store when I go. I worry about how Im going to be treated and Ive been treated like any other customer. Butler is a small town and still a lot of trump signs all over Butler.

Im very grateful that they open at 6 am for seniors. Thank you. However, I am not happy that there is such a minimal selection of lunch meat and cheese. This morning, the fresh bakery buns and bread were not out either.

Nice smaller giant eagle. Wont have everything you might find at some fancy big city market district G.E., but still has most of the essentials and plenty to choose from.

Small but very nice, clean and friendly employees

The stores are clean and well organized. I can find items here I cant anywhere else and their prepared foods are always delicious. I find the prices to be fair compared to anyone else and I would much rather spend my money here than at national chains.

I prefer GE over most of the rest. They always seem to have what you want even when its a sale price. Thats just my opinion on what Ive found. The pharmacy has the most helpful people I have found anywhere. They truly care about you and what they can do to help you. The grocery side has at least one of their cashiers Donna, who not only is Very good but very friendly. If you become a regular customer, they treat you like family.

Nice giant eagle to drop in and get some food. Its missing some of the more particular items but thats understandable in a small and more remote giant eagle.

Its convenient for me to go to but its a older store and not as many products as the moriane location giant eagle. The giant eagles in cranberry and Pittsburgh are so much more updated and have so much more great products to choose from, I hope the butler giant eagles will do the same soon.

I want to share the experience I had on Christmas Eve with the Clearview mall Butler location. I had $20 and wanted to get a ham for tomorrow I found the hams and saw the sign above it told me that I had to purchase $25 worth of merchandise excluding the price of the ham to even be allowed to buy one really that is so messed up I can get 1 per household but come on. And the only reason I gave one star is because they wont let me post -1

I just want to say that the ladies in the bakery department both Destiny and Tamara did a great job on a cake that I ordered for my office party on July 19th 2019. Not only did it not cost a fortune to get ($35) but I think they did a great job of listening to what I was looking for and was able to create such a wonderful cake. Thank you again for your services and know I will be coming back.

Love Giant Eagle! By far the best place to go and get your food and cleaning supplies. With the advantage card, the deals are unbeatable! Pick 5 for 19.99 meat sales are to die for and .99 bread! Spend $70 on the amount of food that would cost $100 at Walmart and other stores and not sacrificing quality or brand names

Could not find roasted red peppers or I love you brand dog food. Odd on the dog food; had a register generated coupon from GE so figured they would have item. Cashier packed my sanitizing wipes in with my bananas and yogurt. Gave her 3 bags, she used 1. Guess that way I only get 1 bag perc. At least she could have separated my food from cleaning items. Dont usually go to this GE, was just in the area.

High prices but worth it cause way better meat and better choices of food and u get points off Everytime that u can save on food or gas your choice but it would be awesome if it was just a bit cheaper

This Giant Eagle is convenient to the Clearview Mall for a quick stop after shopping. Im impressed with the large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The meat department is also impressive.

Always has my soda compared to the other location...but it always seems to have a foul smell, like the coolers need scrubbed down with Clorox...

Every Giant Eagle Ive been to has amazing produce. Thats my go to for fruits and veggies. Also has tons of foods Walmart doesnt. Much more variety.

I always stop in here to pick up Saxonburg garlic bologna. The snack of the gods when you are watching Game Of Thrones. If you are from the areas you know what I am talking about. They store is nice but could use a bit of modernizing .

The Giant Eagle chain is great, especially for those wishing to avoid Walmart. This particular store, however, is in bad need of an update. Probably one of the oldest stores I have seen and lacks the amenities of a more modern Giant Eagle such as beer, a sushi bar, organic foods section, and product selection. They also do not have any restrooms intended for public use. Would not recommend the store but would definitely recommend the chain

Was planning a special dinner for my Mom-inlaw who was turning 80. The Meat Dept helped me find not only enough salmon to feed all but went the extra mile to talk with me about the right marinade and garnish. Our family was THRILLED with how it turned out! THANK YOU ALL!

Run of the mill grocery store connected to a gas company. The more you buy, you get a discount on gas. The only issue with this is that the food prices are elevated to make up the difference. Don’t get me wrong, I will continue to go here for groceries, but only because there isn’t anything else around.They are a big store with lots of variety and you can usually find everything you need here.

My go to store for most of my shopping. Friendly staff, good variety, and good prices.The only minus is the scary, rotting ceilings. Hopefully they get a new ceiling before they fall on a customer or on the food.

27 ppl waiting to check out at 5pm. 1 reg register open and 1 12 items or less open. Workers carrying on behind customer service. I called the store from inside the store to ask for more registers to be opened. Told me they were short staffed...but within a minute 3 registers opened and moved the lines. Why does it have to take a customer to get things organized?

Wow, Giant Eagle claims to have slashed prices, dont be fooled..you can find items of the same quality/quantity elsewhere for half the price than what Giant Eagle is charging. Aldis and Walmart are still my fave all-in-one stop markets for groceries and anything else I would need!

Older lady on register 2 this morning around 9-9:30 was nowhere to be found. So we waited the moved to another line. So i complained and she said it was her register. She was standing where you would buy cigarettes talking with the other ladies. Didnt give a care in the world that she had a job. She was rude too when i mentioned something to her. She said that she was standing there the whole time, but yet she didnt come to ring us up meanwhile the register light was on. Good luck there. Also last time i bought pop there it was already flat, like someone dropped it. It was almost like it was opened already. Gaint eagle is going down hill fast you have lost a great buyibg family because of your customer service.

This Giant Eagle is certainly older than the other one in Butler but it is pretty clean and the employees are generally nice. The prices of any Giant Eagle can certainly be high but their sales are fantastic.

GE employees very helpful and smiling at Clearville Mall location. This location has a very limited selection of lactate free and gluten free products compared to the the GE at Morraine Point on the other side of Butler.
