As always Mark and his crew did a great job. I took my 2007 Chrysler Aspen in for an oil change and transmission flush and was pleased at how quickly they got it done. They always make recommendations on other work that should be attended to and this time around recommended a radiator, it has only had a small leak for about five years. My husband and I own an auto repair shop in Minnesota and I had trouble with our vehicle while on vacation in Cape Coral. As a woman, traveling without my husband, I was nervous to bring in our car without him. I did some Google searching and found Tuffy to have good reviews.Our vehicle is 20 years old and needs some TLC but we only drive it a few weeks out of the year.Initially, I brought it in for a soft brake pedal. I cannot say enough good things about this shop. Mark and Lon were extremely thorough and great to work with. They added brake fluid and gave me estimates to repair the master cylinder. Everything was extremely transparent and they were not pushy or using any scare tactics to get me to make costly repairs.The second time I brought my car to them I thought it was overheating (according to the gauges redlining.) They hooked up my vehicle to the scan tool and measured the temperature of the engine, assessed the coolant, radiator and overflow tanks and let it run for 90 minutes with the A/C on. My vehicle was found to have a faulty temp gauge and the engine was NOT actually overheating.They explained their diagnostics and were so good to work with. I felt extremely comfortable working with them and their prices were very fair and reasonable. Highly recommend this shop! Thank you.

My husband and I have been going to Tuffys for +6 years now. We refuse to go anywhere else because the service, quality, and communication is impeccable. Ive had to wait with my 2 young boys in the store many times, and Mark and staff are always so kind. Cant say enough about them.. dont go anywhere else, promise.

Mark is the most dishonest mechanic you can ever find. He asks fake costumers to write fake reviews to hide the truth about this location. When I came here to fix my car I have seen this guy being rude with his own stuff many times and also with people who deliver for them. I will never come to fix my car at this place again because the bad service is also over priced. He thinks that the other companies that work for this location only work for this location, and they do not. He needs to wait the companies that deliver for them until necessary, and thats the way it works, whether he likes it or not. He is not priority.

I went to different muffler shops to see if they can fix a simple exaust leak on my moms car and some of them wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars and some of them wanted to charge me to replace the whole exhaust system and that cost alot of money when all i wanted is to cut, replace and weld a small piece of stainless steel pipe to fix the leak. Took my moms car to Tuffy and they were able to do the simple job less than the other competitors. The manager was very friendly, honest and explained every detail of what needed to be done to the car. I recommend this shop to everyone for their profesionalism and honesty. I called about a harmonic balancer repair for07 C6, corvette kevin or whoever, was the worker who answered. After calling me back he wasnt interested in the job. He stated it would be 7 hours labor, ok so?You do repair work right? Was the $1000 he asked for not enough. Or are you just wanting to do the easy stuff, getem in and out, next. Every once and a while its ok to work.. He stated you would have to remove the front clip. That means front end of the car.Without getting confrontational, I have the knowledge that on utube I watched a mechanic do this procedure (part off) to my exact car on video with no editing in 40 minutes. I called another tuffys and they didnt mention anything about not wanting to do it. Just gave me a price and said bring it in and we will see if you need one.Dont go to this establishment. Chris was not educated enough for me, and you can tell a slight attitude and smart mouth.Please dont write me back with you P.R. so it looks good for other customers. Just stick to doing breaks and checking A/C

Eric his assistant manger and the most awesome mechanic in the business he also oversees all the other mechanics in the shop to make sure every job is diagnosed and preformed properly and is the best place to have exhaust work done by Eric the assistant manager himself whether its a stock system repaired or replaced and if you what a custom exhaust its the only place to have it done right by Eric is the best in the business, he does unbelievable custom exhaust work and hes fast he does exhaust work that cant be matched by any one in lee county. I just had my custom exhaust done by Driver Choice in cape coral the only reason I went wer because he has a mandrel pipe bender the work was terrible and nick the owner mean horrible man I gave him exact photos of how its to be done. Its hanging down so low and he refuses to fix it he said its to much work and wont do it besides that he caved in the rear hatch my 2018 toyota sienna and called me a lier and said im trying to get it fixed for free and it never happened there than cursed me out and hung up on me. I should of had tuffy do it i know his excellent exhaust work is unmatched by any shop in Lee county now im bringing to tuffy to have him fix the work that I paid Drivers Choice 400 dollars to do and all I got is a smashed in hatch and some of the worst custom exhaust work i ever saw before. Well Tuffy will fix that abortion that Drivers Choice made and make the system perfect because Eric will do the exhaust work himself and he is a perfectionist he will not stop working on your exhaust system until you are 110% happy with your system and its done right the way you want it the first time of course he will give you advice if he knows a better way of doing your custom exhaust system because some people will go there with ridiculous ideas of how to do there custom exhaust but ultimately Eric will give his knowledge of how loud its going to be whether your going to have that annoying exhaust Drone in the cabin of your car and if you insist on it and say you dont mind all that noise and drone he will do that way you what it but you will regret not taking Erics advice and you will be back paying to have him redo it and make it quieter. Again I made a stupid mistake by going elsewhere and now im paying for my dumb choice of shops. But it will never happen again because I will always use Tuffy to do my work in the future. Eric was off today so I will have him fix that terrible job I got first thing tomorrow morning and Mark is going to accommodate with out me having to make appointment in the future.

I was driving from South Carolina to Cape Coral Florida when I hit an object in the road. I needed to be at a trade show in Cape Coral by 5pm and drove on the temporary spare to make it on time. I called the Tuffy Cape Coral shop while on the road and the owner Mark Holmes told me he would get my vehicle into his shop Friday night after they closed as I wasnt able to get there before then and was presenting all day at the trade show Saturday so I wouldnt be able to get my vehicle there on Saturday either..... I told Mark I needed my vehicle back and the tire replaced so I could get back home on Sunday. He and his manager Eric went above and beyond contacting me throughout the process, fixed my tire and even delivered my vehicle back to me on Saturday evening at the trade show as I was not able to get to their shop before they closed. I cant say enough about how grateful I am on how they took care of a customer in need!! Instead of spending my time stressing out about and dealing with my situation they allowed me to focus on my work at the trade show while they took care of my truck. I would highly recommend them to my family and friends. Thanks guys you are the best!!

Honest....went in for alignment and was told had bubble in tire and others were worn. Did not need alignment. Since the tires only had 14,000 miles on them and were on warranty we had to return to where we bought them. Due to the fast service and honesty of this service, we will return with future auto problems.

In the past few years, prices of oil, oil and air filters at the local auto parts store and discounters has gone up so much that its just a few dollars more to have a shop do it for you.I made a $1500.00 mistake by going to another oil change shop, who failed to refill my transmission oil on my manual transmission, Causing a major failure later that day. I had to sue them in Lee County Court to get satisfaction.Then I found Mark and Patty at Tuffy, a whole new ball game, professional service, friendly and courteous and attention to all the small details. They have done all my oil changes for some time now and other repairs as well.Seldom do you find a service that you can trust, especially if you dont know all the ins and outs of auto mechanics. Well, these peoples middle name should be Trust and their last name Honesty. Beware way over priced on mechanical work! A part that cost $90.00 Tuffy charged me,$411.00. Mangered explanation,I have to pay for my overhead! Friendly and fast service,but way over priced. With labor it was 640.00! The low rating was because 0f Mark up on part! I called a different mechanic in Cape Coral after,he said he would have done it for $280.00. Im never going to a chain like Tuffy again!

Absolutely horrified by the experience I received by this place. I sent my husband in to get my a/c compressor fixed and not only did they screw up, they charged me extra for their screw up. The owner or manager started off being very rude to my husband, due to the fact that his employee didn’t show up to work, but took his frustrations out on my husband by being very short and charged for the inspection that ended up telling them it was my alternator, so they changed that instead to then find out...bum bum bum...that wasn’t the problem and that it was in fact my a/c compressor. Once they knew I had my car covered over my insurance his attitude changed and was all of a sudden being much nicer once he got what he needed but managed to charge over the price of my deductible that my husband didn’t realize. Will never be doing business with them again and can not believe they would treat their customers with a rude attitude and then over charge them just because they were having a bad day. Shame on you, they should learn that when you mess up you need to own up to it and make sure your customers leave happy.

Mark and his team have been taking care of my vehicles for years 1st my Ford Explorer then my Ford F150 and recently my Hyundai Santa Fe. I trust them and they never try to sell me something I dont need. They also wont let me leave if my car is unsafe to drive. They really care about their customers. Just got home from Tuffy! Was recommended to me, and so happy for that. I needed a quick oil chang and they accommodated me even without an appointment. Very polite staff. I just waited for it to get done. It’s cheaper too! They also told me only what I really really needed to get done with my car and didn’t give me a long list like what other shops do. I really appreciated that coz I don’t know anything about cars so i don’t really know if I really need it or not. I was just at Mazda to get a recall fixed and they gave me a long list of what “I had to” do for my car. Meanwhile they told me I just really need new tires coz they have been very thin and dangerous to drive in especially when it’s raining. Will definitely go back and recommend to others!

Always reliable work performed here

I went in on sat. Mark was very friendly. However I clearly stated I needed a new tire due to a leak.. They showed me multiple spots where debris was in the tire and plugged the tire instead of giving me a new tire... it is now monday morning 6am and I have a completely flat tire in my driveway.. not a slow leak... and am going to be late for an important bussiness meeting this morning... long story short I now have a worse tire and am out $15 when I was originally willing to BUY A TIRE.. very upset right now..

Over the past four or five years Ive had both a Toyota and a VW regularly serviced here and the experience has always been great. They provide relevant information and do not upsell anything. Go there once and youll likely continue with this Tuffy store. Youll find them to be reliable, reasonable and even pleasant.

After doing a lot of research, it seemed this place had some of the best reviews locally. Took my VW CC in for an oil change and new tires. Not only did Mark personally answer the phone, address all my questions and concerns, he even recommended a cheaper pair of tires that he’s personally had good luck with. Between the initial call and day of service, I received periodic calls from Mark to let me know when the parts were in and confirm our appointment. Upon arriving I was greeted by his very friendly employee Eric and within a few hours had the car back in better shape than when I dropped it off, with no issues or hard upselling. In a time where finding good customer service is almost impossible, and honest mechanics even more difficult, I can honestly say this place didn’t just meet, but exceeded my expectations. I will definitely recommend and do service with Mark and his team in the future.

Talk about honesty, I came in thinking I was going to get taken advantage of since I thought the worst. As it turns out, I only needed a minor adjustment to my brakes. They said had I driven for another hundred miles or so it would have done permanent damage and cost me a lot of money.It is nice to know there are still honest auto repair people out there. Excellent service...had appointment for inspection on Monday for what I thought was a loose front brake....took a chance and went in today or Saturday....folks could not have been nicer.....they found four loose wheel lugs......took all the tires off and checked the torque on all the lugs as well as the brakes.....cost - zero....problem found with free brake inspection....needless to say, they have a new customer.....even though a long drive from Alva.....thank you.
