Amazing diagnostic turn around times. Never let anything even small issues go without care. Have had my truck in for routine maintenance several times and is always a quick turnaround for their busy schedule. My experience at Car-X was amazing! After my service engine light came on, another auto shop I went to diagnosed the problem but said that it was something they were unable to fix on site. I went to Car-X and described the problem to them, where they quickly figured out that what the other shop had told me was incorrect. This was confirmed with their own diagnostic test. Once they knew the source of the problem, they popped the hood and identified the culprit in my engine within SECONDS. Once we knew what the issue was, they gave helped me find the cheapest way to order the part. I returned to replace it a few days later and the service was so fast, I was shocked! I have truly never had a more pleasant auto shop experience. Jesse was very kind and informative. I will definitely be returning to this location for all of my car care needs!

Ive been taking our cars and trucks there, on and off for years and have always been happy with the service and pricing. The work they do is exceptional. The only reason that Ive had work done at other places is that they were closer to home. Ive decided thats not a very good reason and the honest estimates and work that Mike and the rest of the employees provide is well worth a little extra drive.

I had the BEST experience at Car-X Carmel! Seemingly out of the blue, I had multiple issues with my car so I went to the dealership, and was quoted around $3,500 for everything necessary. After hearing great things from Car-X from coworkers, I went there, and they confirmed that my car did have all of the issues, but they ended up only charging me $1,100 for the same fixes. Not only that, but they got me in within 24 hours and had everything fixed within probably 30 hours tops. They had the BEST pricing! I know I wasnt skimped one bit. In fact, they even gave me multiple discounts that wasnt necessary, but SO appreciated! As a woman, they also physically showed me parts of my car/tires that were messed up, so that I would feel confident that my car really did have problems (even though its so new and with few miles - I didnt believe it before!) They wanted me to trust them, which was great. Cole was seriously the BEST and Id recommend anyone chatting with him! Also couldnt say better things about Don & Jesse as well. I was able to schedule a next-day appointment for an oil change with a very friendly representative. I arrived 20 minutes early, and they were able to work me right into the schedule. Work was done very quickly, and with the coupon on their website, the cost was fantastic. Their friendly customer service and clean waiting area, along with competitive pricing, will make me a return customer.

I had my oil changed for the first time at this location today, and have nothing but amazing things to say about it. Jessie makes you feel like family. He is so kind and answers all your questions. He even came out of the shop to talk to me for a bit and most places dont do that. Mr. Corwin is also always super helpful and such a sweet man! Jesse IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive been using car-x for 5 years now and never really had a problem. Jesse has great customer service and listens to the customer as well!! Which is extremely important! I had a tire issue while in town from Chicago and the team at Car-X saved the day! Not only did they make last minute time to help (the air caps on the tires wouldn’t come off so it took some creative muscle to fix) they then refused to let me pay for their assistance. I brought my aging Hyundai in because the brake light on the dashboard came on. They were able to take me on a same-day walk in basis, identified the issue, and got it fixed under a warranty I didnt even know I had. While they were checking it out, they found another unrelated issue and fixed that one too. Had my car back to me the same day, and the warranty fix was entirely free! Great service, I keep coming back to these guys.

Super helpful and saved me a lot of money!

Ive used many Car-X services over the years, and this was by far the best experience, out of all the others which were still top notch, and well enough to write a review. Dropped my car off first thing in the morning, told them my issues and was on my way. They were able to take care of my problems, find more and fix those as well: nails in tires, oil change, brake changes and ball bearing changes. I was quoted 1 ball bearing issue, $450 alone, and they caught another without notifying or charging me, so a 2nd ball bearing fix ($450) at no charge. Above and beyond, and same day considering they had a fleet of cars in the garage that were ahead of mine, including a nice Red 67 Mustang at the front of the line. Since I live Downtown without a garage or carport, Ill definitely be using this location for any issues I cant DIY.

Good service but no masks or efforts to keep distance. No other customers. 3 guys working to plug my tire. Still there nearly an hour. My dad used to say one boy/ whole boy, two boy/ half boy, three boy/ no boy at all.

Dear Car-X! We taking our cars here since 2014, but looks like after today we most likely wont recommend this place because of dishonest behavior. Technician did not pay close attention, and did not make sure the car is safe to drive. Only one advise to car owners, if you need to change your tire, need to replace major parts on your car please go and get check with your car manufacturer services point not with this location.

Rob went above and beyond to pick up tires on his way home at another carx for my wife’s popped tire emergency, and came in early the next day to put them on. She was only 30 minutes late for work the next day when we expected a couple days of interruption! He was so attentive and personable. And Hogan helped us find a discount for the emergency expense! Top notch team over there, I will be using them as long as I’m in the area from now on

The after service is terrible. My car changed break pads last week. After changing that, there is a squeak and whistle from the back. First time, I called, the man told to me bring the car and they will check. Then I went there, the service man said its normal had that sound. It will disappear in a couple days, if not, bring the car back, they will fix. So, I stand for the squeak & whistle for a whole week. Today, I go there and hope they will fix the problem. After 30 mins waiting, the service man talked to me, they didnt hear any sound when they drive. Then I said, could you sit next to me for a minute when I drive? He refused.I dont feel good because they didnt solve the problem for me like they told me in the beginning. I dont how to talk to my kids when they asked me why there is squeak and whistle from the back. I understand it may spend more time & cost to fix it. But as a good company, you should fulfill as you promise to customers.

Mike and his team always are very honest and often find the problem immediately and charge very little when it is a simple fix. When I simply needed transmission fluid, it was no charge. They are amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone for oil change or any other car maintenance. Great guys and honest! (This might be my first Google review, I dont usually brag on places, but they are exceptional!)

Friendly service in a timely manner!

Another good experience at the Merchants Square Car-X in Carmel, IN. They did a proper tune-up (plugs and wires) on a 2002 Camaro (not so easy to do on this model) at a price significantly lower than the dealer or other franchise shops, and they tested two front tires I thought might be out of balance - they werent - and they didnt charge me for checking. Two years ago they did a good brake job on the car, also at an attractive price.

I’ve been going to this specific location for over 10 years. I drive an old, high-mileage car (the same car the entire time), and I’ve never felt pressured to get more repairs than I need or can afford. They’ve even fixed certain minor (but important) things for free. Mike, the owner, is a straight-shooter, and all of his staff is friendly if not gregarious. As a woman, I have never been uncomfortable going there. I hope to get a new(er) car soon, and I’ll continue to give them my business.

Sam, (blonde kid remarked in another poor rated posting) very short with us and had a temper with his employees. Was not a good experience to be there with his attitude. He gave us an overpriced estimate and we paid a fraction of a price elsewhere.

Staff are always friendly and competent. I appreciate the occasional ride to work for more lengthy service needs, and the fair pricing and coupons. They are good neighbors, supporting our community with food and toy drives, and our military with special offers. My car likes to go back-they take such good care of it!

Took my Infiniti in friday after it hadnt been out of the garage in years. Had the tires looked at and told them there is a vacuum leak. 3pm at the time the manager said no time left in the day (closing at 6) so bring it in in Saturday afternoon. I said 2. He said make it 1:30. So drove across town for the appointment saturday. Got there manager not there. Young blond kid said cant do it that day . Poor way of doing business. Make an appointment keep it. They had my number and didnt even bother with a courtesy call that they couldnt keep the appointment. Wasted hours to and from for nothing . The kid could care less.

I don’t know how this Mike guy lives with himself. He’s the biggest sleaze bag I’ve ever seen. I got my front break pads changed. They asked me if I wanted to change the rotors. I said I would but I have only $100. In a couple of days later, my tires started making horrible noise. I called them and they told me to bring it in. Mike guy took my car for a drive. He didn’t even take it inside and look at it. He said you declined to change the rotors, that’s why it’s making noise. Then he offered to change them for $40, generously waive the labor. I was furious. I drove my car for 2 years, over 100K miles on it, never had this problem. Then I took it to Jiffy Lube and explained what happened. They took it inside and told me the noise was coming from the rear tire. The Juffy Lube guy said that the Car X left the rotor unscrewed, to make me go back and change the rotor. Are you serious????? That’s absolutely unsafe! Car X, you’re putting my life on jeopardy just to collect few bucks! I couldn’t believe it!!!! Do not take your car to Car X. Karma will catch you one day!!!!! You knew exactly why my car was making that noise! You did it on purpose!!!! Jiffy Lube fixed it for free!!! I gave them $20 tip.

Mike and the team always go the extra mile and are more than fair with their pricing. I trust them when they say there is a problem and how to address it. My first stop for any car issue.

Everything about this place was bad. The two people up front are rude and mean and tried to rip me off. They told me I needed pads, rotors, and calipers all around. But when I took it to Midas I only need the front pads and rotors. Car-X and a terrible place to go and I wouldn’t recommend going there unless you like bad customer servers and getting ripped off

We had a flat tire with 4 teenagers in the car. We were on the way to a basketball tournament in Cincinnati and were up against a time crunch. We had to buy a new tire and install it. Not only did the service team fit us in during their lunch hour, they installed the tire, replaced the spare and helped reload the vehicle with our kids stuff. We were back on the road in 30 min. Highly recommend the service people here, they are friendly and hard working.

I stopped at this store today on my way home from work. My car had the tire light come on and was just a little low on air. When I got to the store I did not realize what time it was suppose to close but the OPEN sign was still lit and the door was unlocked. Apparently they close at 6:00 and I arrived at 6:30. Anyway, I asked the two gentlemen at the front desk if I could get my one tire aired up a little. Neither man even stood up and one gave be a B.S. line about the compressor being off and drained. Having worked in dealerships and shops the past 14 years and being a high school automotive instructor for the largest career center in the state I am very disappointed in the lack of care and effort from the employees at this location. I will certainly not place any of my students at this shop for an internship nor will I recommend it to anyone. If so little effort can be given to a potential customer I question the effort given for timely, cost effective, and safe repairs.

The guys are super friendly, and they do a good job. They can get busy though. So I would recommend getting here early, around the time they open (7am). Also, if you can bring your car in during the week, rather than the weekend, the work on your car will get done faster. They have free WiFi and coffee if you choose to stay and wait for your car. I made an appointment to get an oil change. I used an online coupon for 21.95. I came in on a busy day where they were backed up, but they honored my appointment and started working on my car right away. Much respect!

Great experience, Ill go back. I only did a standard oil/filter change. Mike seemed honest and knowledgable. They did what I asked, and didnt try to up-sell me on stuff that I didnt need.I looked at my air filter before I went in, and knew it would likely need changed. They replaced it with a filter for the same price that I could purchase just the filter at AutoZone. They noted that my accessory drive belt was showing some small cracks, but said that it was minor and didnt try to push me into something I didnt need yet.

Problem: Noise that sounded as if it may be related to my muffler.My car is twelve years old so I was bracing myself for a large repair bill. If the mechanic tells me that the system is shot and needs replacement I would bite the bullet. However, not taking advantage of me and reporting that I just have a couple of rusted/broken bolts was very much appreciated. Since they were honest with me, I would unhesitatingly recommend this CarX.

I took my truck to them because it was shimmying side-to-side very badly. Found out it was the drivers side tire. Had both front tires replaced and, while I wasnt thrilled with the price (about $250), it was typical for repairs on my model of truck. They were very professional and courteous, and did a couple of extra things they didnt have to do, free of charge. For example, they fixed an issue with my drivers side door where it popped everytime I opened it! They even alerted me to a radiator leak my truck has!In short, the prices are about on par with other repair shops (maybe a little less), and their service is great! Id definitely go to them again.
