They did a great job. It was reasonably priced, and the owners were very nice. They checked more than smog and noticed my tires were low on air and fixed the problem. I will be back now my car is off warranty. Its good to support local shops.

I went to get a smog test. The garage is a small place run by an old couple. They are very nice.

My vehicle had been having a reoccurring problem over the past months. After shelling out tons of money to a chain I finally got fed up and called Best Auto Care. He explained and showed me every single issue and turns out the other place hadn’t done much of anything to fix the actual problems. Tony was very clear and helpful and my car has run great since. I won’t be taking my car to anyone else! Would highly recommend

I took my RV in for a smog and AC recharge. Tony was very clear in the communication on how he was going to diagnosis the AC and communicated the work and cost he needed to perform in order complete the AC repair. I have been to quite a few other small garages, and corporate dealerships, however Tony level of communications through out the process is better than all else. I think I found “My” mechanic! The owner/operator is very knowledgeable and qualified to work on all cars. ASE certifications all over the wall. If you try to cut pricing, corners, time, or question his professional aspects of repair, due to his professional nature, may come across short tempered as he knows he is worth the very competitive rate he is charging, and will not negotiate special deals for you. So if you are looking for a cheap fix - please stay away. Find some shady hole in the wall shop with questionable street mechanics to do your work. But, If you want high quality service, for a very fair price, in reasonable time, this is definitely a good place to trust for your auto care. I have been working on cars for 40 years, never go to shops but this time I had too. I needed a state inspection on a 2015 Hyundai. He was very professional and pointed out what should be serviced soon but was passable. I watched to make sure he did what he needed to do and with the proper tools, and he did. Highly recommended. At first he was a bit defensive seems because of all the people trying to get something for nothing. But once he realized I was legit, They brought me a bottle of cold water, gave me a COVID mask as I forgot mine, very accommodating, kind, and very customer service oriented. They went over the top for me.This is the place I would take my car, if I ever need a shop.

Came here for an ac leak he was able to identify where the leak was and was able to get the part fixed in 1 day. Explained everything he did.. great Service..

The tech was super patient explaining hat he was doing and what he found was wrong, the price for work was super reasonable and the work was fast.

This shop is under new management and is a family business. I watched as they renovated the place (which was an eyesore in the neighborhood) so decided to check it out by taking my car in for an oil change. When I went in, I was greeted by the family and given a cold bottle of water, which was great on a 100 degree day. The owner, Tony, has been a mechanic for 25 years and has worked in the Bay Area. He works on your car personally, not some young technician with no experience. Once I was there I asked him about my AC which had been acting up for some months. I had taken it in to one of the big chain shops and they couldnt find the problem. Tony said hed check it out and let me know. It turns out the pressure was too high because I had added some of the consumer grade refrigerant and had messed up the system. He vacuumed out the old refrigerant and replaced it with all new stuff and the AC is as as good as new now. Best of all, he gave me a great price and explained everything along the way. I would highly recommend this shop for old-fashioned customer service and quality work.

DONT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME. AND THEY DONT KNOW THE SMOG REGULATIONS.Go to SMOG King in El Dorado Hills.I brought my truck in to this shop on 1/21/2020 for a Smog inspection and brake, light & safety inspection. It was brought in from out of state. The smog test did not pass due to evaporative system Not Ready monitor. Test readout 0BDll NOT READY He told me to drive it for a while and bring it back. Then hed RE-TEST it. I brought it back about 2 weeks later. He checked monitors again. He said that EVAP System monitor showed NOT READY. He told me that fuel tank was above 3/4 level on the gauge, and l would need to bring it in with less fuel and follow a specific drive cycle. I decided to go to another shop to check out the legitimacy of his recommendations and find out why I couldnt get a SMOG certificate from this shop. The owner of SMOG King in El Dorado Hills CA. Informed me that gas powered vehicles 2000 and newer are able to pass CALIFORNIA emission test with only the EVAPORATIVE System monitor Not Ready. He provided me with a printout of this rule. He tested it and it was passed on the computer and I got a SMOG certificate. I had the same EVAP readiness monitor reading when I brought it in the 2nd time to BEST AUTO CARE. And he refused to RE-TEST my truck and give me a certificate . After getting my certificate at SMOG King, I again drove 15 miles back to BEST AUTO CARE. I asked the owner why he would not test it with the EVAP monitor not ready. He stated that it would not pass with that reading. I showed him the rule and the regulation printout that stated the EVAP monitor system monitor can be Not Ready to be SMOG certified. I asked for a refund since he should have retested it, he refused and told me to contact BAR if l didnt like it. Mr. Nguyen refused me a full refund for the Smog that I paid for and deserved to obtain.

The employees are extremely rude and unprofessional. I called on my lunch break and (when I could finally get 2 words out without being interrupted) asked how long it would be to get my car smogged. They just kept repeating first come, first serve. I told them I understandand Im coming from across the street.I would just like an estimate because Im on my lunch break and got the same answer.

Excellent service super friendly owner operator. Got my smog done quickly and they helped install a new hood latch. Definitely coming back.

The landscaping around your building and parking lot looks horrible. There are trash and weeds throughout and there has been for some time now.Your store front is on a major intersection with many who pass by daily. The current condition seems to show, to many of us, a lack of concern or caring for the neighborhood. Has business simply been that bad?Please take care of our neighborhood and show those who live nearby that your business cares and local patronage is important to you.

To summarize....The owner was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I came on first day I paid the price he asked, put it to test and told me he cant read the cars computer and he sent me to dealer to check it. I went to dealer and they were able to read it and didnt find anything abnormal with the car. So, I went back to the smog center, he puts the tester on it, he says that he is able to read the computer now but the test is incomplete and I have to drive the car for 100 miles etc, etc... After I did what he said Im coming back and for the second time he says that he cant read the cars computer again and I have to take it back to dealer and to fix it. And here I am, going to dealer for the second time. Check it again to dealer and they said that everything is just fine. They gave me a paper for that . So, again to smog center. Now he says that he can read the comouter again but I have a code error and I have to drive it another 100 miles...bla, bla, bla and to come back the nexr day because he is busy right now and when I come back I will be charged just $8.95 for the smog certificate if it passes. Well, false. the next day He said that he worked so much to my car that he has to charge me the whole price again.... . So, he is very unprofessional, very rude, and a liar!
