They got rid of most of the good bagels and replaced with donuts. There are 3 types of bagel now. Plain, Everything, and Asiago. If you are dairy free, that leaves 2. They also have 5 sweet bagels (not really bagels in my mind). Very bad change, so disappointed, now I have to find a way to drive to Bruger’s before they close at 2.

One of the nicest coffee shop I have been at, and I lived in San Francisco, Chicago. Very nice atmosphere and sunset. I had vanilla hazelnut black coffee.

Normally I love Caribou coffee! In fact I even look for them when I’m out of town. Today however, at this location, I am so disappointed. I ordered a campfire mocha, with an extra shot, only to be giving a Turtle. And when they remade my drink to a campfire mocha, I was then given one without an extra shot. When girl found out that it was the incorrect drink for the second time, I received a sigh and an eye roll as well as a snarky “fine, I’ll remake it“. At this point wasn’t worth my time to wait for my drink the second time. I’m not sure I’ll ever return to this location. I’m really disappointed and saddened.

I had such a pleasant experience this morning!! Kat was working the register and she was an absolute delight! She put me in a wonderful mood. She was so kind and sweet and cheerful! She absolutely deserves a raise. I got a bagel, parfait, and iced coffee and it was delicious! I will definitely be back!!!

Love there coffee, the staff is very friendly even at 6am. I often stop before going to work. I have never had a problem yet at this caribou location. 😊

Staff was always very friendly but it became a stressful experience every time i went because they always got my order wrong. i had to go inside and watch them make it every time because otherwise it was wrong (they’d add syrups with sugar instead of sugar free, regular milk instead of milk alternative). they were always friendly about fixing it, but the confrontation made the trips not worth the energy.

I frequent Caribou and Einsteins Bagels. Good variety of bagels. Often very fresh. During my last visit I had ham and cheese on my bagel sandwich that was gross. When staff asked how everything was I wasnt in the mood to challenge or discuss it so I didnt say anything about it. Ill definitely go back and say something if there ever is a discrepancy. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were knowledgeable. I appreciate that.

Very good coffee. Maybe the best of the big chains? I always get good customer service here. Atmosphere is cozier than Scooters SW and bigger and more private than Starbucks SW. Love their food options from Einstein Bros as well. Bagels are not as good as Paneras but when used in their sandwiches, the result is very good. Try the Nova Lox...crazy menu item (if you arent from NYC) but crazy good!!

Great morning pick me up

We enjoyed this coffee shop. We did some home school work while there. My son spilled some crumbs on the floor and the staff was gracious to help us clean up. It has a nice atmosphere. I wish it had coconut milk as an option for coffee. Also, there arent many choices for gluten or dairy free needs. It is in a nice location.

We discovered Caribou in Rochester, MN but was rewarded with Caribou Coffee/Einstein Bagels in Cedar Rapids. Life probably gets better than this, but this place has the coffee and treats, and NO POLITICS! An amazing salmon/lox bagel won me over. Ask for it toasted with extra capers.

Went in on a mid Saturday morning on SW location of Cedar Rapids. It wasnt terribly busy and my first time. I waited 20 min for my coffee. I bought a pumpkin muffin which was amazing but then had to wait for my coffee. I like my coffee with my muffin. There seemed to be no sense of urgency! Nice atmosphere but not sure Ill go back. Coffee seemed a bit pricey!

The bagel breakfast sandwich I had was amazing!! I got a regular coffee and I must say it wasn’t that good. My daughter got a latte of some kind and it tasted very good. So I would give 5 stars for the bagels and 2 stars fir the coffee.

I have been coming here multiple times a week for the last month or two to do work remotely. Its been a bit hit and miss. Sometimes orders get lost and never made, and sometimes orders take too long to complete. The staff is usually very kind but there are a few that arent terribly welcoming. Twice Ive ordered something decaffeinated (once a tea and once a coffee) that ended up being caffeinated. This is a problem for me as a nursing mother who is trying to keep caffeine intake to a minimum. To this locations credit, it is consistently clean and provides a nice, well-lit location for socializing or working. They also offer an average selection of items for those with dietary restrictions (gluten free, dairy free, etc.).

Delicious coffee every time! My favorite drink is always changing! Staff is usually friendly and quick. I especially appreciate the excellent service from Jeff! Not sure if he is a manager or not, but he should be!

Love this place but I felt very unwelcomed at the register the cashier was very rude. She didn’t smile and seemed as if she hated her job my boyfriend also said he was surprised at how rude she was. When we went up to order a bagel there was this other cashier who was absolutely kind and bubbly and made us feel very comfortable 😊

Used to love going here. Recently went to order coffee before work. Drive thru was very busy so I went inside. No warm greetings at all. One woman looked at me 3 times...3 times... and didnt say a word. Stood there for nearly 5 mins and nothing. So I left. Extremely disappointed.

If you want fun and unusual flavors if coffee, this is your place. The malted mocha is such a fun twist on a malt, but with Expresso. The service was great!!

I asked for a surprise drink. Anything the barista liked herself. I revived an iced berry white chocolate mocha latte. It was delicious. I also had a pumpkin muffin. Quite tasty.

I was happy when Caribou opened an stand alone store fairly close me. Ive always like their coffee better than Starbucks and since Scooters ruined what was Coffeesmiths, Caribou is my go-to place when Im in that area of town.

Nice interior. Good coffee and bagels. Wait time 10 minutes to have staff hand me a bag of 6 bagels! I pointed out long wait time and they said they are new to everything at this point. Hopefully they will iron out the kinks.

Will return because if staff. I called 8 times and was about to give up when they called me and said they are having phone issues. Nice man took my order and even gave me free black coffee when I arrived. This will bring me back, as customer service of this calibur is not found many times. I also suggest you try the bagelschmears- ABSOLUTELY the best.

This Caribou location doesnt accept the order ahead option on their app. When you try to use it, it sends the order to another store located in Coralville. Store employee told me that the order ahead option was not set up for the Cedar Rapids store. Not very convenient.
