My visits to Urban Optique have been incredible. All of the staff is exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Simms is kind, caring, and thorough. She was able to get me back in Ortho K lenses after a year of another doctor causing issues with my sight.

Dr. Simms is absolutely wonderful!!! Very nice, caring provider who takes the time to perform a through examination.. Great Staff! Everyone is very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.... 😉 I would personally recommend to everyone!

I went there as a returning patient asking to get my contacts changed because one brand kept ripping in my eyes. I also spoke with a friend who is an eye doctor in another state who has had the same problem with that brand of contacts for his patients. A month later I received a bill after the doctor herself told me I WOULDN’T be charged. Instead of the office calling me back themselves they called my insurance company back giving them their side of the story. Then the insurance stated I needed to pay my copay. Cool, so the doctor - owner of the business tells the patient one thing- then decides after I leave to say F it I’m gonna charge her. Nope. I don’t do lies. Tell me. I’m not even due for an examination until July 1. First, their office kept trying to give me a full eye exam when I didn’t request or want one or even need one! LISTENING vs HEARING. They didn’t listen to what I want or needed. They did what they wanted and what they felt was beneficial. The doctor also kept trying to sell me on the dry eye stuff she keeps promoting. I didn’t go there for that! Also, she put me back into contacts that I wanted to get away from, but didn’t care enough to ask WHY we switched brands. When I walked in, 4 people were sitting behind the desk and 2 were on their cell phones. I would not ever recommend this place!!!!!!

Urban Optique and EyeCare is absolutely amazing! Dr. Simms was very thorough and Joshua was absolutely a pleasure to work with! He took the time to help me find the perfect pair of frames! I will be recommending family and friends and I cannot wait to come back!

My dad called in an appointment 2 weeks ago, and then when we got there today, the three people at the desk all looked at us like we were crazy. We walked up to the lady in front and she said the doctor called in sick and there no appointments for the time we were supposed to be there. She looked up my name, and I was labeled as a new patient, but there was no appointment for me! They put in our names without even setting up the appointment they promised us. Not to mention the lady was very dismissive and rude to us for absolutely no reason.

When I walked through the door here, THE ENTIRE STAFF was waiting and everyone of them had smiles on their face! My son was looking to spend no more on his glasses then what his insurance required. We worked a way out for him to get it done before we left! What a GREAT group of people!!

I love that this office is open on Saturdays and that the staff is really nice. The last two times I visited the office my wait time was less than 5 minutes which is so great. Dr. Simms is incredibly kind and personable. The contacts I get are a little pricey there, they run at about $40 a box when I can get them for $20 a box at Costco but thats not a huge issue. I will continue to visit this office in the future.

I am so grateful to have Dr. Simms in my life. She and her staff go above and beyond in every way. She suggested Ortho K for me on my last yearly exam and I am so happy that I tried it. I now wear a corrective lens only when I sleep. During the day I have perfect vision whether I am working on the computer, reading or driving without ever wearing contacts or glasses. I have recommended her to my friends and family.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Simms and her staff. Not only is Dr. Simms compassionate and caring, she is an exerpt in her field who is continuosly educating herself on the most advanced studies, procedures, and technical instruments available in the optical medical field. These advanced services are offered with competitive prices. For example, for a routine eye exam, they have equipment that takes 3d digital pictures of your entire eye ball, and they offer diagnostics for issues like dry eye.In my case, I have been suffering from dry eyes for about 3 years now due to 20+ years of full time computer work. I was seeing floaters and my sight was blurry (-.25 in one eye). Dr. Simms helped me understand how damaging screens are on your eyes and as a result I alwasy wear computer classes with blue light protection, and I look for TVs and monitors with blue ligth (i.e. night time) display feautures. I also purchased computer glasses for my kids as they do virtual school nowadays. Yesterday, I tried Dr. Simms dry eye therapy and I am ecstatic and amazed. It melts this buttery substance that is stuck inside your eyes that builds up over time. This substance clogs your tear ducts making them less affective; hence the dry eyes. After only 1 out of 3 sessions, the floaters are greatly diminished, and my sight is restored to 25/15 (that is better than 20/20. I am kicking myself for waiting months to try it, since I would have alleviated my discomfort much sooner if had not procrastinated.Ive also been bringing my mom here, who is retired and on medicare, and has a much more restricted budget. Dr. Simms and her staff go out of there way to ensure any services are covered, and Dr. Simms also provided provided me with very specific details on what features to look for when buying her eye glasses at a lower cost elsewhere, with lower grade materials.I recommend Dr. Simms to all my friends and family!Alena

Dr. Simms is very thoughtful and thorough. Anytime we have had after hours issues, she very quickly calls us back. Technology is top of the line. The staff are all very kind and helpful. Eyewear selection is great.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Simms for over 5 years now and she is wonderful. She wants you to always be comfortable with what she fits you in. If I did not like a fit of the certain contacts she has me try then I go back until I am.

I liked Dr. Simms, But Todd Drake that runs the glasses department is horrible to deal with. I was due a new pair of glasses under my insurance plan and wanted to get new lenses in my existing frames. He quoted me a price of $605. I said that was not possible because I paid $278 less than 2 years ago for the frames and lens from the same shop with the same insurance. His response was Thats your plan referring to the $605. He writes down numbers blank paper and is put off when you ask how he comes up with his numbers. In general, his people skills are downright poor. I wont be back.

My boys and I have been patients of Dr. Simms for over 5 years and she has always been excellent to work with and extremely knowledgeable about all of our eyecare needs. The staff have always been helpful, courteous, and professional as well.

I cant tell you how thankful I am to have found this office! Prior to visiting this office, I had abandoned contacts due to dry eyes and was told that Lasik wasnt an option due to my dry eyes. I was so frustrated since its hard to be active/working out with glasses sliding down my face and athletic goggles were not ideal.Dr. Sims suggested OrthoK and it has changed my life! I love them! As a new patient to OrthoK she even made herself available outside of office hours when I had some challenges with the contacts. Both she and her staff are thorough and attentive. As a result, my entire family travels from Tempe now for annual eye exams, contacts and glasses.While I can understand that glasses/contacts may be more expensive, I would argue that you are not only paying for the product, but the quality service behind it. My daughter has greatly appreciated the blue anti-reflective coating suggested by Dr. Sims since she is frequently on her computer.I highly recommend Urban Optique and will continue use this office for all things eye care!

I have been a patient of Dr. Simms for over 10 years and recently have been very disappointed with the care I receive. The office staff is always confused as to whom I am and if I should or should not have a co-pay. I never have had a co-pay for annual exams and then all of a sudden the office staff demanded it before I even went in to see the doctor. Every staff person in the office seems like this is their side job and does not really care about their patients. The front desk staff is very rude and unprofessional. I recently called to get a copy of my prescription and the letter sent over had spelling and grammar mistakes up the wall, they even spelled my name wrong!! The glasses are wayyyyy overpriced. Yes they are designer but $700 for a pair of glasses after insurance is ridiculous. You can go literally anywhere else for glasses and get them for under $100. I think it is time to get a new eye doctor that has a staff that knows how to handle patient affairs professionally and kindly. Again, Dr. Simms is an amazing doctor, but this is a great example of how the office staff can kill a business.

Their glasses and lenses cost are 3x higher then Costco! If you dont start competing with box stores your business is gonna die. $160 at Costco vs $400+ at this location.

There is not a better, more caring and professional eyecare office in Chandler than Urban Optique. I have a very complicated vision problem and have been to numerous offices throughout the valley trying to find a doctor that could help me. That search was over after finding Dr. Simms at Urban Optique and I have remained a patient of hers for many years now. The office is a warm and inviting boutique styled shop and the entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend Urban Optique to anybody that has eyewear and or eyecare needs…they provide care they way it is supposed to be given!

I have been going to Dr. Simms for about 6 years. I have always been pleased with the level of service and the Staff is always helpful, ok since I am a pain, way helpful. It was suggested to me that I may want to try the new 4D glasses that are made for progressive users. There is a computer that makes all the measurements for the glasses to be made. It is 5 times more accurate. I decided to give it a try.WOW! is all I can say. It is FANTASTIC! I have a hard time with being over sensative to prescriptions and this was so easy to wear. There was no adjustment period or headaches. I have told everyone about it and Urban Optique. I love Todd and Thomas. Shopping with them for my new frames was as much fun as going out with friends.The staff and Dr. Simms are always there to make it a easy and simple process and being a busy Mom and Wife, I am always thankful for that.
