Called for a specific perfume, got there, didnt have it and the young woman acted like I was troubling her for no reason. Granted, I was coming in at 8:40 p.m. but I had called & if it wasnt important I would not have come in that late. Nevertheless she should have been more pleasant & for that, Ill go to the mall, buy my perfume and makeup,, pay extra just to get what I want without the rudeness. Youve lost a customer

They push so hard to capture your personal information. When I made a purchase they asked repeatedly for my phone number. I said I didn’t want to share it. I don’t want an account. Then they asked for my friends number. Just give them a number. I refused and made my purchase. 2 weeks later I wanted to return one of the items. They asked for my phone number again. I didn’t want to share it. They refused to refund my money unless I gave them my number. I pointed out the return policy on the back of the receipt which does not require your phone number unless you don’t have the receipt. I had the receipt. The manager still refused to refund my money unless I gave them my personal information.

I had my appointment here at 12:50pm with Pia.If you are booking an eyebrow appointment with her (she has green locs at the Benefit Brow Bar), consider getting your eyebrows done by someone else or a different location. I’ve been growing my eyebrows out since February, they were extremely thick when I arrived. Pia OVERWAXED, OVERPLUCKED and I left with uneven brows. I haven’t seen my eyebrows this thin since late high school.I was a few minutes late and I apologized profusely and I was met with a monologue about how she’s so popular and next time she won’t take me. I apologized and told her why I was late. I get it, and it was my fault.Afterwards, we had very casual conversation, like normal. She’s very friendly and able to maintain small talk, a plus! Initially, when I sat in her seat, I told her that I have been a loyal Benefit Brow Bar for years at another location and I prefer thick brows. I recently moved but knew that I would leave with thick brows so I trusted her, since she’s the expert.When I looked in the mirror at the end, all I could do was hold back tears and say tell her that it was improved. (Yes.... from what it looked like before, at what else could she have been able to do at that point?)I left and ended up crying outside the store because I was so mad. People that do eyebrows are a dime in a dozen and very few do them well. Pia is a dime in a dozen and doesn’t do eyebrows well. Since she’s so popular and everyone wants her, she won’t see me again!I am now at the Durham location and they have confirmed that my brows are most certainly uneven and thin. I’ll gladly make the drive elsewhere for services if that means I never see Pia ever again.Extremely disappointed that I’ll have to grow them out for MONTHS now.

My mother, aged 86 and unfailingly polite, shopped at the Eastgate Ulta the other day, accompanied by my granddaughter (age 30) and her great granddaughter (age 21 months). My mom was excited to use a $100 gift card I had given her, but when she got to the register, she was met by rude, impatient workers. Mask compliance made things challenging for everyone, but the staff would not speak louder, kept asking my mom for her email and phone number, and seemed clueless that not all 86-year olds are inclined to give out such information (nor, in my moms case, do they understand the ins and outs of getting a discount with membership details).Fundamentally, the fact that store workers who WERE not busy with other customers didnt even open the store door for an elderly woman using a cane, along with a mom pushing a baby with a stroller, says it all. They experienced nothing but impatience and rudeness.My mother was looking forward to a retail outing and she is a relatively big spender at Ulta. However, unless an apology is forthcoming, Ulta just lost four generations of customers.

Ashley did a fantastic job on my hair, after being in the area for a year I finally found my stylist! She took extra time and care in our consult to make sure we were on the same page with what I wanted which I so appreciated. The cut and color came out fabulous and I haven’t felt this confident with my hair in honestly years. I only wish I found her sooner! Plus she’s super sweet and so easy to chat with.

I have been to this Ulta 3 times in the past 9 months and I don’t normally shop there but they had the product I needed that I couldn’t find online. Every time has been an awful experience when checking out. Each time I was asked for my phone number to get points/rewards, but I don’t shop there regularly and don’t give out my phone number, and each time I was continuously asked. I politely said no each time (they asked at least 3 times each) and then acted completely frustrated that I wasn’t giving them my name and phone number. What a horrible experience! I am literally buying a product from your store and I’m treated awfully every time. No means no the FIRST time and I have a right to decline giving a store my phone number.

I have been to this store twice and never found any product lines with natural ingredients. At Ulta is all about marketing and selling the same (very expensive) brands. Its time to bring in products with gentle, non-toxic ingredients or heavy (carcinogenic) fragrance, from NEW companies who are environmentally conscious. (One in eight women gets diagnosed with breast cancer in the US every year - does Ulta care?) Also... sad to say, Ive never been assisted by any of the sales associate. I wanted to like this store but Im disappointed.

I was met at the door by a friendly employee. She enquired if there was anything in particular I was looking for. After telling her, she directed me to multiple choices, explained the benefits of each and personally matched the exact shades that I needed. Overall, this was a very positive experience and Ill be shopping there in the future.

Even though I could see at least three sales people on the floor near me, they totally ignored me. I even walked up to them and they either kept talking to each other or walked away. I finally put down the items and walked out.It must have been my lucky day because when I got home I looked up the same items on the Nordstrom’s website and got $25 off. Nordstrom’s also included a free Clinique gift bag and three additional samples.

Theres only two ULTA stores I have ever gone to. This one and the one by Fayetteville road and let me say. If you are not white or if your appearance does not say I have money then you will not get greeted or helped. I went today and two ladies looked me right in the eye and turned the other way. Rude much. I feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Its so sad that theres people like this that still exist.

Had my hair highlighted and colored yesterday by Naima- I’m a dark brunette and wanted to go vibrant violet, and Naima was upfront from the get-go about the pricing and process. She was super focused while applying the lightener and dye, and kept checking in often and explaining what was happening/how long we had to wait/etc. I’ve always been too afraid to bleach my hair at home, but I was in great hands with Naima and I absolutely LOVE the dimension and brightness of color she was able to achieve. I would definitely recommend her to a friend!

This is a perfectly fine location of Ulta. I havent found that the staff are particularly helpful or knowledgeable on the products that I have been questioning, but it is a good location to just do a quick trip in and grab what I am in the market for.

This Ulta is the most amazing store of its kind that I have experienced. My bestie and I both agree that the customer service here truly sets this Ulta apart. Tonight, Shannon and Crystal both helped us find everything we needed (including some fabulous items that we didn’t KNOW we needed! Haha). They were incredibly warm, professional, and knowledgeable, setting us at ease asking questions and browsing around (really basking in the Ulta experience tbh). We’re going back tomorrow!

I will not be bringing my business to this establishment ever again. I was followed around the store while I was shopping and the store manager, Carole, accused me of acting suspiciously without being given any explanation as to how. They had no proof of me taking anything, they gave no reason as to what exactly they thought was suspicious about me, and at the end I was told I was not welcome back to the store, even without any evidence of me causing trouble. I have been an Ulta customer for a very long time and shop at their stores quite frequently. This was my first time to this particular store and I was disgusted and disappointed with my experience. I do not recommend this store to anyone, and will be going to my usual Ulta store by Southpoint Mall instead.

Ulta is my favorite place in the world to go for makeup! They have drugstore brands and high end brands so its a place for everyone whether you want something small and affordable or you wanna splurge! The employees are so incredibly nice and they make you feels so comfortable in the store. Theyll help you out with anything and Ive never ever had a bad experience with them. They even help me pick out colors if I cant decide between them. They always have promotions and coupons that give you a great deal. Theyre rewards program is AMAZING. Theres more details on their website but the best part is that they give you a free gift on your birthday! I would verrry much reccomend shopping there if you need anything related to beauty. They have makeup, fragrance, a hairsalon, a brow bar, and its just the best place to shop beauty overall. If youre going to shop there or if youre at all interested in makeup I would also sign up for their rewards program. Happy shopping!

Ive only been to this Ulta a few times since it opened, but I love it! Its a lot bigger than the one at Southpoint and it carries way more products, particularly in the prestige section of the store. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and I love having such a wide variety to choose from. The only negative is that, depending on when you go, it may be hard to find parking, given that Eastgate is so popular and Ulta is right beside Trader Joes (many of TJs customers park in front of the Ulta), but so far I havent had to park too far away. I definitely recommend checking this one out and I will certainly be returning!
