Family Dollar on Meeting Street in Charleston is a well managed and conveniently located Family Dollar location that is easy to access and find what you need when you need it. They have a good selection of basic items here that is handy when you are in this area. They have been a reliable option.
Its been awhile since I visited a family dollar. This store was clean and the expansion is nice. Well please with the visit.
Ever since the store has reopened it NEVER opens on time... the cashiers are rude and the manager is EVEN MORE NASTY!!! The cashier with red hair (a Caucasian) has a VERY VULGAR MOUTH. Cashier and managers are taking personal phone calls while customers wait!!!! they SHOULD HAVE JUST LET IT STAY SHUT DOWN IF ITS GOING TO BE RAN LIKE THIS!!!!!!!!! I WISH I COULD GIVE NO STARS!!!**** ridiculous!!!
Clean and orderly. No wait in line.
Love new management and staff. Totally different atmosphere. Nothing but great experiences since they reopened.
I really like the store since they reopened is very new and clean I like shopping that this one
So what time does the store actually open?!? Because I came at 8:00am and waited outside until 8:30 to be told they’re not open while it’s 2 workers in there me & a couple of other people. Change the signs of hours it’s people driving from far and others who take the bus this is ridiculous. Or stay closed down it’s not that hard to run a business properly I’m from Newyork this is Charleston get it together it’s 2021
Lady would not help me with my food stamp Nasty B_ _ _ __!!
Slack. Rude/ghetto cashiers Ive witness. Use of inappropriate language around customers including children Products thrown everywhere in almost every where I walked. Dead bugs on floor. They need to do way better. The one on King Street is one sent from heaven compared to this one.
The place is gross and had to track someone down to check me out
I love coming to family dollar aside from the loads of people hanging around outside, the staff is very polite most of the time and always willing to help. I have encountered an employee or two that had a bit of an attitude but they have since weeded them out. My only issue is leaving inexperienced cashiers alone at the front, when there is an issue it always take a while for someone to come and help. But over all I like the store and those who work there.
Absolute Debauchery. Clothes, cleaning supplies, etc. strewn across aisles.. Vibrant character all around. Highly sort of recommend
I dont know who was working there on Easter at 1:20 pm but she was absolutely lovely, greeted every person coming in. Refreshing and appreciated. Made me feel happier about having to work myself.I want to make sure that she gets a raise or something. She deserves it.
Worst convenience store I’ve ever been in. Ghetto, dirty, completely disorganized, and the ghetto cashier tried to ring me up for items she scanned for herself in hopes that I wouldn’t notice. I did when my 2 item ($5) order came up as $15 with 4 items. When I asked her about it, she just stared at me and reluctantly called a manager to void it. Pretty terrible store in an ultra-ghetto area.
This place is always messy and always never can not get cash back the manager shouldnt even have this place listed on Google to be ratedWho ever owns this family dollar i wish you would please clean it up and hire people that really are help full but i know this family dollar has something to do with that much trashy family dollar by the child support office on rivers ave in north charlestonI rate Google a 5 star and family dollar a 1 star for these locations
This place does what you need it to do. No more no less. Yeah, there are a few sketch folks outside, but it is downtown so it is what it is. Dont expect Waldorf Astoria service. Its an upgrade from a convenience store though.
The worst ever. Its dirty things in the isle all over the floor. The staff is pretty ok but the store need work
Love Family Dollar selection is great. See. Customer service could b better. More cashiers.
Great place to get what you need, but its location is a bit sketchy as a bus stop out front makes it a place for people to hang out and ask for handouts. Always be aware in that area of town!
The worst store to shop. Staff nasty to shoppers. Only one person working up front. Staff tell customers they dont have to shop there. Overall a terrible place to shop. Wont be back.
Cashiers were stressed!!! But courtious. Store was dirty, dead bugs and spills. Items all over floor. Needs to be Organized
Go there everyday just about. Love the workers. They are very nice.
The staff was friendly and helpful and over if the other customers helped me carry some cases of water to my car.
So walter the LPN at family dollar has to count his days. They accused my daughter of stealing a toy, AND he disrespected her calling her young man after i had already corrected him teling him shes a girl very loudly when he was referring to her as he multiple times. Mind you we were right by the register still shopping. The other manager alexis said she saw my daughter unwrapping the toy by the register. My daughter was holding the toy it wasnt concealed. All my kids said she found it in the home decor aisle already opened and empty. None of my kids had pockets. The doll inside the toy was never found. So basically they called my daughter a thief, a boy even though she had all pink girl clothing on, and all my kids liars. He also had no right to approach natalie! I put my cart full of items back at the register and just paid for the opened toy! He assumed the toy wouldnt be paid for. Assumed she was stealing. And misgendered her on purpose! He even threatened to call the police on a 5yr old! He said in the store he would go check the cameras to show she stole the toy. I just called back 2hrs later and he told me he never checked the cameras and hed call me back after he checked the cameras
Its good considering the area youre in.
I love that the 1 liter Cokes are a buck 02!
No clutter in iles easy to get to items.Cashiers very helpful.Overall,a wonderful place to shop
Great customer service but not the safest place to shop
This is a good place too shop for my house hold items

This is a good place for last minute pick ups.
Not safe here, loitering everywhere. Store does nothing about it

This place is filthy and nasty. PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR BABIES IN THERE. THEY MAY PICK UP A DISEASE.
It had what I wanted
Always a pleasant visit.
Friendly staff. Drama going on amongst them and they were complaining to customers. Some items didnt ring up as marked on shelf. Overall acreage experience for area.
Great prices on electronics
The manger close the store 10 mins to 10oclock
Unprofessional experience, profanity being used in front customers.
The place always looks like a train reck
Too many drunks and beggars hanging around the place...
The worst store I have ever been in!

The customer service at this location is deplorable and the attitudes of the customer service providers are even worse.
