Ride Bikes on Saint Andrews Boulevard in West Ashley is a great place to go for all things bikes and accessories all in one place. I like the selection of different bikes that they have available and the good values they have here. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. Good experience shopping here.

So good I found a husband there! All the employees respected my price range and spent time educating me about the different bikes until I found the right one. Customer service seems to be their number one priority.

These guys are great. I purchased a Kona frame from a different shop out of state and needed to process a warranty claim after moving to SC. Myles at Ride Bikes was more than happy to help me with the claim, despite not even being the original Kona dealer that sold me the bike. He also helped me deal with a very difficult bottom bracket removal and press in headset bearings, at a reasonable price. They’re also very responsive to phone calls and e-mails, which is a refreshing change from the lack of communication I have experienced at other shops.

Ive used their service a few times now and they are always courteous, pleasant to deal with, unbiased in their recommendations and go above and beyond taking care of their customers. Very pleased with the service!

Listen. This is the place to go to have work done on your bike. I brought my well loved giant trance in there. Bottom bracket was sounding funky and I just wanted a once over. Guys sorted the bb, a new cassette, front pads, and a broken spoke. Couldnt believe how fast it was and how cheap it was. This is the spot. My 6 year old bike now feels great again

This is the best bike shop in the Charleston area with little contest. Ive been everywhere from Mt. Pleasant to Downtown to James Island in the process of doing up and maintaining my road bike and Ride is the only shop that can consistently offer great products and service. Its very refreshing to see every employee be knowledgeable, down to earth, and passionate about what they do and honestly just makes the experience a tier above the other shops . Their prices are very fair and their charge for service has been anywhere from $10 to $120 dollars lower for the same job and better service. Cant recommend them enough, just visit them once and you see why it isnt worth wasting your time anywhere else.

LOVE this place! Major procrastinator here during the Covid19 pandemic. I ordered an out of stock bike for my 4 year old birthday boy on Thursday, and Greg pulled through a few days later on Monday! The shop was closed, but I got personalized white glove delivery from Greg himself right to my front door. His shop was closed on Monday, but he wanted to make sure the birthday boy got his bike on his special day. I strongly recommend this outfit to everyone- they’re the real deal. I took my wife’s Cannondale & my Cervelo to Ride Bikes for service upon the recommendation of a fellow cyclist. From the very start I could tell these people took a sincere interest in bikes and cycling. We needed a lot of work... new cassettes, derailleurs, breaks, chains and tires all for a trip we were looking forward to. They provided great advice. Once they had the parts they turned us around in less than a day! The work appears to be excellent and the pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommending Ride Bikes!!

From what I saw... this is not a place of frivolous purchases; theres no wide array of bells and horns and attachments and theres not an overstock of shirts declaring who they are or that they are the best.BUT who they are is a group of people who are friendly and knowledgeable and efficient with their care of your two wheels. They are helpful and love dogs and love cycling. Theres a good curated selection of bikes. I left smiling and knowing it was not going be my last visit. Parking lot is small so if you can cycle there, do that.

I took me and my wife bike for maintenence, spoke to Miles and he made me feel comfortable with dealing with him, he seemed very knowledgeable about what our bikes needed. He said because of the weekend it would be ready by Wednesday, however it was ready earlier than quoted, thats what Im talking about, quick professional service. I will definitely return. I havent tested the ride of the bikes yet, but when we do, we will write another review.

They were crazy busy with curbside service (due to Covid-19) when I arrived. They were pretty well set up logistically to handle everyone. Each of the 3 mechanics working acknowledged me and asked if I had been helped. When it was my turn, they assessed the bike, which needed a new derailer, within 15 minutes. They offered to fix it on the spot or I could leave it. I opted to have them fix then. 15 mins later the bike was fixed and I was riding smooth as soon as I got home. Knowledgeable, kind, and a fair price. Definitely taking it back when things settle down for full on TLC from them.

The most welcoming!! As a major beginner, the folks at Ride Bikes eliminated any intimidation of the the cycling community. I joined in the Thursday night ride not knowing what to expect. Not only were Tom, Daniel, and Greg (with the shop) so friendly but, what spoke the most volumes was the rest of the community on the ride. All skill levels were represented. I cant thank these guys enough or speak too highly of them.

I have owned a Diamondback hybrid bicycle for a few years now but did not start riding regularly (around 30 miles a week) until recently. That said, I have very limited bike knowledge but knew my bicycle was long overdue for servicing. Both tire tubes needed to be replaced, the brakes needed to be adjusted, and the chain needed to be replaced. When I dropped my bicycle off on Wednesday they explained what the costs would be and what a general servicing entails. They were knowledgeable, patient, and didn’t talk down to me or take advantage of my limited experience. I will definitely be back and recommend them to friends and family!

Greg Jones is the owner of this full service professional bike shop. Greg and his staff are great people and will treat you right. Chief mechanic Myles is can be found lining it up on the road and in the dirt at many races and is even known to find the podium. Give them a visit.

I have tried most bike shops in town and have concluded that Ride Bikes is the best. Every time I am in there they treat me great, take time to explain whats going on with my bike. Miles in particular has offered consistently excellent customer service.

Great experience! Have a strider for my 2yr old that needed a new wheel. Took initially to Mikes bikes. They were going to charge $60 or were pushing me to buy a new strider. Ride bikes took care of me without flinching and went above and beyond. They charged me less than $20 and they were extremely responsive and helpful! It took some ingenuity on their part to make it work. Wasnt charged for extra time it took them to figure out, install, etc. Just charged me for the cost of wheel they ordered.

Incredibly helpful and kind staff. They went way above and beyond helping me with a surprise for my husband - assembling and even delivering a bike trailer to my house. Theyre so easy to work with and knowledgeable. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I bought my first bike in 20 years and had not ridden my recumbent in many years but wanted a utility bike. Went in, met Greg and after a patient hour or so I was convinced that I wanted to buy my next bike from these guys. Took overnight to make the decision ( I research everything) and decided on a Scott 29er in stock. Each time I visit the shop its like seeing old friends and the attention not to mention knowledge is up there with the best. I still own one of my first bicycles - 1974 Schwinn Continental andand my next a 1995 Ryan Recumbent and I would trust them to work on each of them. Great guys who know their stuff.

They are absolutely awesome! I took my mountain bike in to have the rear wheel swapped out and the gears transferred to another wheel. I had misplaced the locking spindle, but they were able to find one that fit and worked. I was in and out in no time and the price was fantastic! Definitely recommend and will be back for any future bicycle needs

Honestly, this is THE BEST bike shop around. I once brought my bike from Summerville all the way here just cause of their price and quality. The best part is they stand by their work, so if you get something done and it isnt right theyll fix it (usually for free). The guy who runs it is super niceand the associates in store mirror his professionalism, etc.

We had been to most of the other bike shops in town, and were starting to get fed up with the sales guys blowing us off (old, out of shape couple). Then we came into Ride Bikes and met Daniel.Couldnt imagine a more laid back experience. He talked to us and got us headed in the right direction with a couple bikes that were perfectly in our price range. In fact, I think we actually ended up with cheaper bikes than we were expecting.Service was great and fast. Like the lady we met in the parking lot told us, I recommend these guys to all my friends.

Awesome bike shop! Finally found a great shop to visit while Im in the area. Tore up the derailleur on my mountain bike at Wanamaker North trails and was out of commission. Saw these guys on line and was impressed by the picture of all the bikes in their showroom, so I figured they were a real shop. Anyone that seriously pedals knows what I mean. They fixed my bike really fast (drop out, rear derailleur, cable). They also replaced the rear wheel with a good used one as the free hub was about stripped out. I then went on their Thursday night group ride which was awesome; somehow managed to keep up ;-) Kudos to Greg Jones for a great experience!!!

Last year I bought a basic 3-speed commuter bike here and promptly got hit by a truck the next week. These guys took great care of me - put together a thorough bike repair quote that I could submit to insurance, provided free labor for all the repairs (free labor for the whole first year really, since I bought a new bike), and gave me unsolicited/unadvertised discounts here and there when I came in to buy accessories. Theyve been very friendly, honest, and hard working. Quality work with no pressure to buy anything you dont need, although theyre happy to give advice / recommendations if you ask. Ive been back on my bike for 9 months now, and by this point when I walk into the shop, they know my name and remember the last few things I came in for. Currently getting my rear wheel rebuilt because the North Charleston roads took a toll on the spokes. :) My only complaint is that you cant turn left out of the shop (have to make a right turn then U-turn), but oh well. Everything that matters about the shop is great, and I send all my friends here who are looking for new bikes or repairs. Thanks Greg!
