Arguably the best Cigars Ive ever had. Been buying cigars from here since 2006. Dropped in today and still making great sticks, to cant go wrong, price is great, and they are simply amazing.

Simply the best cigar shop I have ever been to! Went in with a buddy today and was treated to coffee and a cigar! Absolutely amazing experience and go to spot for premium in-store hand rolled cigars! Very hard to find this kind of quality anywhere else! Prices could be WAY more but she is very reasonable! A must go to if you are in the area and have the time!

Low key. The hostess could and cigar roller could care less about the customer experience. More time was spent entering two other guys in the store. She spent very little to no time explaining her cigars to me. I’ll try it later. Just wish the buying experience was well below average.

Very interesting shop, great to watch a master Dominican roller. However, NOT very friendly to inquisitive patrons, and impatient answering questions. That said, Ive smoked a LOT of cigars, and their Dominican- Nicaraguan Maduro torpedo is one of the smoothest smokes Ive had in a long time! The filler was packed just right throughout, and the wrapper was a work of art. If they worked on their people skills they would be the most popular shop in Charleston!

I was so excited. I made it known that I had never seem cigars being hand rolled. The gentleman behind the counter made no attempt to explain anything. He couldnt have cared less that we were there visiting. They werent too friendly. The product was good, rolled for a prefect burn.

My brother and I wondered into this place based on reviews! We had a blast talking with the staff! This place is like Little Havana dropped into Charleston! They are legit and their tobacco rolling is the best I have ever experienced! Do yourself a favor if you like Dominican tobacco and visit this place as often as you can! I sure will!

OMG! The best cigar I’ve had! And I’ve had a few Cubans. So smooth! Loved talking to the owner and watching the craftsman rolling sticks. Wish I lived closer but I’m glad they ship.

Only smoked Cubans when in Europe as I couldnt find good consistent cigars where I lived, that was 12 years ago, havent bought or stocked anything since. Superior smoke, consistent quality and service at great prices. Should have worked out a rep agreement as I everyone who has smoked one of my sticks I think has turned around and bought from them. Haven’t had a hand rolled cigar since I was in Iraq. Absolutely awesome cigar. I went back today for a bundle. Great customer service, also taught me a few things about tobacco.

Stumbled upon this small gem last year. Incredible people with great knowledge and history in cigar making. . . Handrolled perfection for affecionados with any taste profile. Their customer service is second to none.

I sure miss this establishment and its great hand rolled cigars! Not to mention the great customer service that no one can imagine! Thank You for the great memories my friends, I shall see you again. As for my recommendations? Id give it 6 stars, If I was able!

A cool little smoke shop

Great experience to watch them roll cigars right in front of you, with tobacco leaves all over the place! I recommend the torpedo cigar it was delicious. The prices are also very reasonable.

Fantastic stop on our visit to Charleston. Hand rolled cigars from Cuban seed and was fascinating to watch. The one I purchased and smoked burned perfectly and was incredibly smooth. I would not hesitate to return on our next trip South.

From now on, this is where I buy my cigars. I could either spend $30 a piece for 1 Padron, or come here and spend $150 for 25 of the full body torpedoes which are pretty similar.

Have been going here for years, but about 3 years ago quality went down. Tobacco much more bitter.Also less friendly customer service as well having strange people there. Seemed shady

A real hidden gem off of King street. Stop by and give their cigars a try!So far, theyre my favorite. Will definitely be back. Havent had a cigar that compares yet. Im green to the hobby, however Ive had quite a few since theirs.Friendly staff. Can watch the magic happen as they roll fresh cigars.

This by far is the best cigar hands down. I will always smoke this cigar!

Initial inspection made a little nervous of my corona wrapped torpedo. It seemed loosely wrapped with a pit at the end. Initially started complex and leveled off pretty well. A 3rd of the way through it became a very good smoke. Mild and flavorful the ash held half way down. I would buy another and I will recommend to others. A neat experience honestly.

Why go anywhere else.These are my go to guys in the States. It is near impossible to get good quality cigars where I live, Halifax, NS. This place has excellent quality Dominican tobacco hand-rolled cigars at prices you just cant beat.I was in Nashville recently and they shipped me 80 cigars to my hotel. They arrived ahead of my arrival and I smoked one the first night there at a place called the Wheel on Broadway.Thanks again Matt!

Local and authentic shop in the heart of Charleston. The cigars are rolled right in front of you as you pick from their selection at the counter. Im enjoying one of their products as I write this, and as a fan of spicy Maduro sticks, their product doesnt disappoint! Im sure to swing by every time Im in Charleston.

Walked into this shop on Saturday for the first time, they welcome me like I was a regular. I picked up 2 sticks just to give it a shot, the sticks impressed me so much that I went back on Sunday and bought 8. Looking forward to ordering for these guys!

So, if you are only going to watch the hand-rolling of cigars, call ahead. On the other hand, if you want a good, not great, but good without a gimmicky name from the consolidated cigar factories, at a great price, then friends and countrymen (colloquially, of course) this is it. Just remember, this is HAND ROLLED, selection will be limited, enjoy.

Great cigars but a really weird place. Don’t stand behind the marble counter, don’t touch the glass display case...weird. But even if customer service is lacking the cigars really are excellent. Go for the lancero, it’s amazing.

Was in Charleston for the annual Wine and Food Festival. Stopped in the little shop to watch two people hand rolling cigars. They only sell their own cigars. A mildish Ecuador and a medium to full bodied Maduro. The dried leaves in the shop smelled really good. I felt like I was taking a chance buying a couple dozen to take home as gifts as I did not have time to enjoy one in the shop. The cigars are moderately priced at around 6 to $10 depending on the size of the cigar. Im smoking a moderate torpedo right now and I have to say this cigar excellent. Beautiful even burn, fantastic flavor and just a beautiful dark wrapper. These folks know what they are doing. They have picked some really good tobaccos and the construction is as perfect as I have had in any brand name cigar. In a couple months I will try online ordering to make sure I keep some of these Carolina made cigars in my humidor.

Found this place on a whim, have become a faithful customer. Ordering is easy on the phone and shipping is quick. Love the robustos. Mild and easy to smoke, great flavor.

This place is cool. If you like cigars, it is definitely worth checking out. Its kind of out of the way because it is on a side street, but it is only a block up from Food is Good (FIG).

These guys are the BEST! Had my first stick while on a quick trip to check out Charleston. As others have written before me, I stopped by and watch two people hand rolling cigars. I too was not sure about non-brand name cigars, but thought, Ive bought bad brand names before. I purchased two Connecticut Robusto and I was totally blown away. Great taste, good draw and wonderful flavor. I have ordered a bundle online. Prices for a bundle are very reasonable. Very professional when I called to place an order. Cigars arrived two days later, as fresh as the ones I bought in the store. Great experience and would highly recommend LDP. Ill be refilling my humidor shortly after I enjoy these awesome smokes.

We were visiting Charleston and having dinner at Jestines I discovered this place on the way back to the car. Im usually leery of non-name brand cigars as Ive been bitten a few times. I decided to buy a sampling after seeing them rolling the cigars right in the store. Now I wish I had bought more. These are great smokes. Each one starts with a little bite but smooths out after a couple of puffs and settles down to a totally enjoyable smoke. I plan on ordering a couple of boxes and will likely become a regular customer. If you enjoy cigars and are in Charleston you should make it a point of stopping by and giving them a try.

I took my family to this location as a finale to the wonderful day we spent in Charleston but we were met by an unfriendly and unwelcoming staff. One of the draws to this location was to see the hand rolling in front of us. There is a sign up that said something along the lines of please ask to take a picture not everyone enjoys having their picture taken. With that in mind, my cousin asked is she could take a picture and she was told no by a very snarky woman who reiterated what the sign said. You can imagine the rest of the encounter...Just a suggestion but the sign should probably read No pictures please. Uncomfortable experience we wont be back.
