Had appointment at 4:00 on Nov 1 to have my oil changed only. I arrived at 3:52 and checked in and advised them (as I did when I made the online apptmt) that I would wait in the waiting room. It was 4:10 when my car was pulled in the bay. It was not lifted up until 4:22. At 5:10 the gentleman that checked me in told me that everything checked out ok, but from watching the activity, I could tell that they had not yet begun the oil change. The car was not pulled out of the bay and the bill presented to me until 5:32.I appreciate that other maintenance items are checked, but it is disappointing that it took 1 hour and 32 minutes (from appointment time) to complete a simple oil change

The customer service here is beyond amazing, some of the best I’ve ever had. Normally, I feel uncomfortable in car care settings. The men who worked with me were awesome, the conversations we had were awesome; they treated me as if they were fixing their daughter’s car. I will 110% be returning here for any future car problems. It is reassuring to take my vehicle to a place that I know that I can trust. With the online inspection and payment system that have been put into place, I get information that helps me to know (and see) areas that I should be concerned about and address immediately, and those that need to be addressed in the near future - and then pay for the service provided conveniently and securely online.This location is always so clean and the staff is always friendly and have your and your vehicles best interest at heart. I drive by a dozen other shops that provide the same services along my 20+ mile route to get to this particular store. They take care of all three of my vehicles.

I had an appointment for inspection, and after dropping my car on time they told me it will take an hour to do the inspection. Interestingly when I came back they havent even started and they didnt feel any responsibility to give me a call about the delay. The car was still outside and they went to pull it in when I went over to get my car! Very poor service, the service consultant simply didnt care. He told me that it what do you want me to do. I got my key and left the store. Although in general I have to spend more time to schedule and take my car to another auto shop, I hate irresponsible business that dont care about their customers. I wont use AAA auto shops any more!

This is a great place to find a notary public, have your tires checked and reinflated and any number of other AAA services. Highly recommend!

Pretty good service. Just moved to NC and I have a pretty old car that I would like to hold on to for atleast a year. I felt good taking it to this location. They knew what they were doing and didn’t try to scam me like what most mechanics do to women.

I had a screw in my tire and it was not holding air pressure. I am AAA member. I walked in without appointment because I could not get appointment for 3 days to the closest AAA car care center. I dropped off my car and they were finished with the repair in just over two hours. Affordable price. Quick service. More conveniently located than dealership. Friendly. Professional. I highly recommend this location and will use them again.

I went in for the annual NC State inspection -- it was super-easy to get an appointment. They started working on my car within minutes of me dropping it off. I had a text message with the test results and recommendations before I could even finish lunch at the Taco Bell next door. Mike was very friendly and helpful... will definitely return for other services.

Nice receptionists; skilled mechanics. In general, AAA provides insightful categorized inspection reports and will contact you for approval before performing any additional services.Sometimes the additional services they recommend are a bit of a money grab (i.e. After fixing an Evaporative Emission System Leak they quoted me another $50 to replace my fuel tank cap, which is a valid recommended service item... I just did it myself in 20 seconds for $17 off Amazon), which is probably applicable to most auto care shops Firestone etc. but just be advised.Theyll pay for your Lyft ride home if you have to leave your car, which is super convenient.

Tony was a pleasure to work with, I got new tires installed at AAA at Montford. I appreciate his honesty as he checked the alignment on my car and suggested I did not needed to have my car aligned as it looked good. Would definitely go back and work with Tony.

My oil leaked completely out of my car. AAA towed my car to this location and they had it fixed and back on the road very quickly. I was extremely pleased!! The service rep I spoke with on the phone was extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommend this business!!

I was here 2 weeks ago for spark plugs and oil change - 300$ and a week later they charged me 100$ for check engine “check” that autozone will check for FREE. Comes to find out my car was misfiring and almost bricked because THEY forgot a spark plug and didn’t plug the wires back right .The fact they forgot something and I almost lost my car is a reason you should not come back to AAA. I called them twice about my car and seemed they had no solution.Please go to a black own auto shop not this over priced mess they run at AAA. They will over charge you.

I have enjoyed repeated quality service at this AAA location. I feel assured of the care my car has been performed correctly and there is only suggestions for additional services they can provide, no hard selling. It is very easy to make/reschedule appointments and everyone on their staff is polite and professional.

I have been a AAA customer for several years. I am always impressed by their standard of service and customer care. If I have to wait for my car, there is a comfortable lounge. If I need to drop it off, they help me get home. Most important, I trust their diagnostics.

Always friendly and helpful staff! They have helped me plan several vacations and road trips, and the auto service team have made many repairs for me over the years. My only complaint is sometimes they are booked up, which is a good thing really.

All went well except I do wish there had been a cooler place to wait for the work to be done. It was mighty hot for an 83 year old guy to have to be sitting out in the noonday heat on a bench for an hour due to the Covid--19 restrictions. (Totally understood why, however).

Our family drives old cars; we are accustom to the maintenance and unexpected breakdowns. We have years of positive experiences with AAA. Our experience, today, was terrible. The AAA customer service guy (after being asked to help by his co-worker after a line had formed and he was repeatedly texting on his phone) told us that there was not a labor charge for our requested battery service. When questioned about the labor charge on the bill, he ANGRILY responded that we were mistaken -- we had been totally informed. We can afford to pay for his lack of disclosure, but his lack of trustworthiness and subsequent exploding anger is enough to keep us from returning to this AAA location.

Excellent AAA service. Good communication. Friendly staff. Only one comment as food for thought. Repairs (even for members are expensive compared to local independent mechanics).

My experience with AAA on Montford, has always been above customer service. Mike and his crew are very professional, pleasant, and willing to go the extra mile. I live 20 miles from the Montford location and literally pass several AAA car care services just to go to the Montford location. Very please with this location.

They text you updates on your car throughout your stay, show you picture proof of things that need repair/attention and know what they’re talking about. Very happy about the professional service I receive every time I bring my vehicles to this facility. Tony and Mike are my go two guys and they will make sure I am satisfied completely with their work. I drive out of my way to go and receive this service being that I live on the opposite side of town.

I got my last oil change and tire rotation at this location. The service was good and I was able to pick up my car around 2 hours later.

This shop works on various issues with a professional touch. The fact is they communicate with you so you know what needs to be completed and provide a fairly reliable estimate to do the work.

Just now I went to pick up my 2000 BMW before I did I wanted to check out the parts I noticed under the hood something was cracked I brought it to their attention and immediately they ordered the part and is on the way. any other dealership/auto care place would’ve turned a blind eye to it

Nice customer waiting area, free WiFi; does have a vending machine. You can get your car worked on, get car and home insurance; and plan an African Safari all in one place!

I like knowing whats going on with my vehicles at all times while theyre being serviced. Thats one great thing about this location. They let you know every step of the way what theyre working on and about how much longer you can expect to wait. Henry has always shown such professionalism, he also is very knowledgeable about his work I enjoy doing business with him because of his pleasing personality. He returns calls in a timely fashion. He will do everything he can to resolve an issue and admit when he cannot, I have found that when he is not available and you cannot wait, he will recommend someone else to help you, Overall he is a great person to do business with.

World Class Service indeed! When I walked in to the Montford location, there were several folks ahead of me. Even so, Mike Sloane made eye contact, acknowledged my existence, and made me feel important by saying, We will be right with you Sir! As promised, Mike got to me in in just a few moments and worked me into the line.My problem was a slow leak in one tire. When technician Frankie removed the tire, he showed me a nail in the sidewall that was causing the problem. Despite good remaining tread, he engendered complete trust when he explained the tire was damaged beyond repair and that I would need to buy a new tire. Mike coached me as to the best deal and way to go about things in a very helpful -- and trustworthy -- way. In short order, they had me back on the road. Wonder service, great people. Mike and Frankie have created a loyal customer and AAA fan for life!

This AAA is the ONLY place that I will take my car for service. ALL of the staff are friendly, courteous, and professional. Their repairs are all warrantied and, while they will tell you of any potentially necessary repairs, they arent pushy and dont use scare tactics to sell repairs.

Great job with a low tire pressure issue; quick evaluation revealed foreign object lodged in location unable to patch. However, actually needed 4 new tires (50+ months of wear and tear on existing ones) and Shawn was able to offer very fair price and ability to complete project within the day. Mechanic did an excellent job, and quite meticulous (had to find a matching valve cover and he did). Will return for other services. Best to you all and thanks

I got my brakes done at this location. They were very helpful and courteous. They explained everything and got my brakes done quickly. No service was performed until I was consulted and I found the quote to be very reasonable. I was even offered a ride back to work through their courtesy service. I was on my way to Firestone but glad I drove by the Montford AAA instead! I will definitely return there if I need service again and I would certainly recommend them.

Chip over at AAA took great care of me as he helped me determine which tires I wanted on my Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country. He was straight up about the pricing and didnt try to oversell. I scheduled the appointment once I had the tires picked out and he called me up and even gave me a ride home so I didnt have to wait around the shop while they changed the tires. Thanks Chip. I drive 20+ miles, past more shops than I can count, to have my three 10+ year-old vehicles serviced at the Montford Drive location.I trust the staff of the car care center, lead by Manager Mike Slone, to perform the needed work, identify items that need immediate attention as well as those that arent immediate needs but need to be monitored for possible future action.I highly recommend this location to anyone.

We usually go to a different AAA, but we had an event after work so we came here before the event to get our state inspection done.This is pretty similar to other AAAs that Ive been to. They have a waiting area with WiFi which is nice.Even with an appointment, it takes them a bit to start working on your car, but our inspection was still done in about half an hour.The people are friendly. The prices are good. I definitely recommend AAA for all car services they provide.

My experience with the Montford Dr. location was excellent. They were able to diagnose the problem I was having with my fuel system and correct it. When there was a faulty part they repaired it with no problem. They were thorough with a trip check that I asked for and discovered issues that potentially could have caused a problem on my family trip. Overall I am very pleased with the care and service that I received at this location.

Been with the AAA team on Montford Drive pretty much since they opened. Nowhere else have we found price, speed and quality in one place.Took our truck there with an engine that was stalling. We received a first call asking us to describe the problem and to listen to our own thoughts on the matter: They understand that owners wish to be heard, not just dismissed as amateurs. Next call only hours later was that they had fixed the problem - we needed a new vacuum hose. Frank and his colleagues not only fixed it fast, but also at an incredibly fair price. And as we are AAA members, the work is fully warranted.My family and I recommend AAA Montford with a full five stars!

Polite employees that were patient when answering questions and were honest about the condition of my car. I had been told that the struts were going bad and asked how much it would cost to fix. A lot of places would have seen that as an opportunity to perform some (possibly) unnecessary work. However, I was told that the struts looked fine and didnt need any work.

Reasonable prices with honest mechanics. Friendly staff. The shop also includes AAA Travel, complete with consultants and accessories including suitcases.

These guys saved me. My car broke down as I was about to sell it to Carmax and they did all they could to get it back in shape quickly at low cost to me! They were clean, on time, professional and courteous. They are now fixing my other car a foreign sedan and the AC problem became bigger than planned but they honored their original pricing as best they could and did a great job. Its hard to find good mechanics that feel like trustworthy relatives and these guys feel that way so far! The quality seems high and the prices are very reasonable and or below average - plus great warranties on their work.

Excellent customer service, staff is professional and helpful especially Chris and Rico (BMW Guru). Ive had tail light assembly repaired, oil change, inspection and the latest was belt tensioner. Also, they gave me lots of helpful tips for my car. I trust Chris and the staff and they do a great job.

AAA on Montford Drive in Charlotte has become my home base for car repairs. Mike and his team are not just skillful in executing just about any repair, but more importantly, they are very responsive and personable.Mike and crew have now helped me with various major and minor repairs on two vehicles on at least five occasions. While my cars dont care about my schedule when stuff breaks, the people at AAA Montford do. Expeditious and with a clear understanding of my bottom line, they call first with every new diagnosis and somehow still get it done right away.Add the warranty on repairs and the extra discount I get with my AAA membership, and its a no-brainer where to solve my car issues.Five stars for service, costs and quality of repairs.

I RARELY write reviews but after my experiences today and the accuracy of the reviews I feel compelled to share. Around 8am this morning I called Firestone on Park Road (where I bought tires previously) to schedule an appointment for an inspection and my free tire rotation (from aforementioned tire purchase) and was told that I would have to drop my car off because they were fully booked. For an inspection! These take 30 minutes or less. FYI, Firestone has a 2.7 rating. I had heard good things of AAA and gave them a call. Mike was my service manager and was absolutely amazing. He scheduled me at noon and had me in and out in 30 minutes. This place lived up to its 4.8 rating!

I like this place and have used it before but this time, my truck ended up leaking oil in my garage.

I was able to watch the technician perform the work on the car. He was very diligent and expeditious. They completed the service in less time than I expected.

My daughter was just in there and they tried to take advantage of her on a State Inspection. Tried to tell her that her tires were worn out and tried to sell her a new set...fortunately she is smart enough to keep an eye on her tires and know she was being taken advantage of. She went to a Nissan Dealer and the car passed State Inspection just fine.....Stay away from these crooks!!!

My fiance and Is car suffered a snapped serpentine belt and frozen water pump by Southpark Mall today. We live in Asheville and needed some trustworthy car professionals to talk us through this emergency and help us diagnose the problem. Tony and the rest of the staff were very kind in helping us navigate this stressful situation. Given our AAA membership benefit of long distance towing we opted to have repairs done in Asheville due to the nature of our timing here (repair couldnt be done until following morning) but on any other day I would trust these folks to repair our car and get us on the road again. Tony, thank you for your kindness, knowledge, and willingness to help a customer in car crisis. Our situation could have been much worse and you helped us every step of the way.

Everyone at this office is super friendly and very helpful. Waldo helped me out immensely two or three times with getting my passport photos done. And Carol, the branch manager, never got tired of me coming again and again to get this and that document notarized. I rarely ever think of putting my AAA membership to use, but with such great service, I might have to change that!

Great service super honest. I had a loose bolt on my starter wire and they just took care of it.

These guys were great. I stopped in on Monday because my tire pressure light was on and they checked all the tires and put air in the low tire. On Wednesday the light was on again so I stopped by again. They put the car on the rack to check out that same tire and sure enough there was a hole. Since my tires were just about in need of replacing I had them work up a quote for a new set. Mike Slone helped me find the best tires and a really good deal. They took me to work; installed my new tires; and came back and picked me up. Thanks guys for the great service and products.

What they do is not illegal but certainly immoral.They take advantage and overcharge to begin with then come up with numerous made up add ons. There are many good, honest Car Care places, this is not one of them.

Today I got to be the witness of a full on miracle of the workings of God.Super long story shortended...on Wednesday my car went into Limp Mode, couldnt drive it and it had a hard time turning over. Spent the day figuring out what to do and where to have it towed. I have AAA. So this morning I had my car towed to a AAA Car Care Center...i worked with a guy named Tony, and he said he would call me later with what they find. 3 oclock comes around and I call to check in, he tells me that have some codes coming back but nothing in full yet.4:50 comes around and Tony calls me to tell me what they found: I have a bad Throttle Body Sensor and because its a hybrid and unfortunately its all one part not 2 like he was hoping...Honda is the only place to get the part (he called other places and spent time to look around but no one had it) and it was $1700+ total for the work/labor/taxes/etc. DEVASTATING news....I am listening to what hes telling me but I am numb and zoned out at that point, all I heard in my head was the car isnt worth the repair and you may only get a year.... (my thoughts not Tonys words). I hung up with him and immediately called my dad and was in hyperventilating mode...i couldnt wrap my head around what I was told. 15 minutes into talking to my Dad, Tony calls me back and asks me if anyone has messed with wires under my hood. I couldnt think of anyone or anything, and then he tells me Ms Birkins, I went to close the hood and a wire caught my eye before I closed it and I found what could be causing this dead read we are getting, there was no connection to your throttle body at all so I have my guy working on changing the wire and tubing it and I will call you back before 6....did I just hear him right? You FIXED my car?!?!And sure enough....they fixed my car and it drives perfectly fine. I went from hearing it would cost $1700 to $120 for the diagnostic and wire.God IS so good. He showed that wire to Tony and he spotted it.This car care center went ABOVE and BEYOND for me, Tony was SO nice and so thorough with the care of my car. They will have my business for the rest of my life.THANK YOU GUYS!!!! SO MUCH!!!

If you are a AAA member, they will check your tire pressure and fill with air or nitrogen, depending on what your tires have been inflated with. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I was not as impressed as others with this location. I had to keep calling the car care service rep to get the quote I needed and never did receive a phone call when my car was done, just the text came over. When I picked up my car he seemed unaware of what was diagnosed for future repair. Not sure I would come back

Called for price of a oil change. I was told $24.99...I went there and was given a choice of 3 prices, the lowest being $34.99...I said i was quoted $24.99 on the phone and he said yes I can do that. 45 minutes latter my bill was $30.03. When I asked how come so high, I was told supply charge is $3.25. I said I never heard of such a thing, and was told ALL shops charge that. I can tell you. Thats not true
