Ive always loved this place. They have such a huge selection of everything. And the people that own the place are so nice.

I recently just went here to pick up some things i needed & manager was snapping orders at young girl employees. while sitting down, speaking on the phone very loud & laughing. girls are very very nice and helpful though. I personally will not be shopping here again. very bad!

I’ve been frequent seeing this establishment for three years ever since I moved to Charlotte I bought two products for my child’s hair to use one of them got stuck in his hair like glue forcing me to use a baking soda make sure to get it out and another one being here and hair butter breaking his forehead out and then the lady proceeded to tell me that I did something to it to mess it up. Never coming back. Good luck.

I will never shop here again! I went to look for a wig and every aisle I looked on, the manager would follow me from aisle to aisle. He kept looking over his shoulder at me making me feel as if he thought I was going to take the wig without paying for them. As I proceeded to look at the lashes another female proceeded to do the same thing. The manager kept stalking us all the way to the checkout counter and stood nearby until the payment was complete. I don’t usually go to this store I prefer going to Carolina beauty. It’s very diverse and they are very kind and don’t treat you like a thief until they see that you’re clearly stealing. If you ask me shop at Carolina Beauty or Tisuns. If you shop here, make sure that you’re okay with being followed every turn and every corner. I wish I could give this a 0 star review.

A lot of product not much space. Prices werent too bad. The workers attempted to be friendly. There were some choice words used by workers that werent appropriate for the workplace but it is what it is I guess. They attempt to follow COVID procedures but again the space in the store doesnt really allow for it.

I will never spend another dime in this place! They just disrespected me...talking and treating me like I dont matter. Now I see why so many people are talking about the place. I can see that they are already losing money. Most of the supplies on the shelves are dusty as hell cause nobody is buying it. I hope they get shut down! We have to stop going to places that doesnt respect us and our $$$. Trash!

I love Beauty 101! The clerks are always very friendly and willing to help. They are also very knowledgable about the products. Beauty 101 carries supplies that are unique and affordable. The store is organized and clean.

It was good I shouldve gotten a discount for clothing on a mannequin but it is what it is.

Yall need to refund people back there monies if you dont have the products people need.

I’ve been going her for years. I’ve never had an issue. Prices are pretty good. Staff are helpful and not overbearing, over watching etc. They have good sales on hair sometimes. You can’t get a refund if you need to return a product though. Only store credit.

Pretty decent beauty supply. I get my human looking synthetic hair from there. Cant go wrong only spending $22

Small store but very large selection. Give yourself some time to shop because they have a lot of hair crammed in tight rows. They usually have everything you need for your hair. The staff are very nice, attentive, and willing to help you find whatever you need. They also have an awards card. After tenth purchase of a certain value, you get $20 off. You can also preorder items if they dont typically carry it.

Andrea is awesome. She is so kind, has a very keen eye to detail especially when it comes to her lace wig cutting. Im not a wig person however Ive purchased 2 in a 7 day period because she make the wig look so realistic. Thanks Andrea.

I purchased a wig that said it can take heat, while attempting to flat iron on the recommended setting the hair melted. I lowered my iron to 180 degrees and waited awhile to let it cool the hair still melted. I took it back today and the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. He told me I shouldnt have put a flat iron on it. After me refusing to leave the store because he wouldnt give the money back he called the manufacturer who agreed to replace the product. He could have called the manufacturer from the get go. The manager said I wasnt a professional, I shouldnt have used a flat iron but only a curling iron. He allowed me to exchange only even though he was not at a loss and actually got a free product and paid for the same item. The manager advised me that although the product I settled for said it takes heat that if I put heat on it and it melts again that I needed to go back to the vendor. This store doesnt stand behind the products in store and have no intention of ensuring quality for their customers.

If I could give this store a 0, I would. They charge a $5 fee to try on human wigs and an alarm was going off continuously whenever I went down the human wig aisle, as if I was some type of thief. I spoke to the owner and ask why were they doing that and she basically ignored me and the other store personnel kinda chuckled. Horrible service and horrible way that they treated me. I would not recommend this store to anyone, especially if you want to be treated like a decent human being.

At first wigs I bought here were nice good quality .Last one I purchased didnt last for one week. I dont know if it was old or just pure quality but they get one more chance.

Be careful if youre Black going here. Too many times employees walk around pretending to help but are keeping a close eye on you. Dont feel comfortable with the Gospel music playing, makes it feel like a fake environment for Black people. Employees treat you horrible. There are no prices on anything, you have to constantly ask; and when you get the price, its overpriced. Not much selection.

I visited this hair store. I probably will never go back. The reason being I prefer to go to a Black owned store. I rather support black owned businesses. Some Asians can be very hateful to the people who keep them in business...African Americans!!!!

If i could post with no starsa i would have. I traveled 30 minutes to and from for their great customer service but no more...today the girl that is supposed to help was constantly on her phone. She asked me if I was done trying on wigs because there was a 5 wig tryon limit. I was the only one there. I told her that I didnt find anything i wanted yet so should i just go to another store. She proceeded to tell me that that was just there policy. So i left and went to tisun beauty supply on north tryon that is only a 10 minute drive and purchased my unit. I was a good customer i think. Consistent every 2 weeks but i will be spending my money else where. I am a true believer if spending my coin at places that have good customer service .

I only shop here when I dont feel like going the extra distance to Tisun. This store is very much over priced! The employees are not very helpful and I have to ask about prices because a lot of their items dont have prices on them. Their wigs look awful...and they really dont have a large selection of crochet hair. Although this place is closer to where I live, when I want good quality and the best prices, I drive across town to Tisun.

Good worker and good price

I live nearby and shop here alot because it was convenient but they are RUDE and OVERPRICED! There was a price for some Evie styling gel and when I got to the register they overcharged me. Then I went to show them what the price said and they argue with me about it and the little older lady thats always there told me to never come back because they dont need my money. Sad! Being treated like that especially being new to the city,trust me, Ill never shop there again. Ive witnessed her threatening to call the police on other customers because of their mistakes. Never apologize or anything. DO NOT SHOP AT BEAUTY 101 on Independence near Citi Trends. Worst customer service EVER!!

I had seen this place before so I decided to go in because I have been wanting to try on/purchase a lace front wig. Over heard one of the owners talking to a Hispanic girl,I didnt think she worked there but any who...he seemed to be talking harsh to her about some inventory it looked like. Later on she asked me if I needed help..she was directing me and explaining to me about the different type of wigs..then the female owner yelled. I do costumer you go do.....I didnt understand the rest. The employee was slightly embarrassed and said, oh ok..and said to me, she said she will help because I have to go do this. I guess it was the inventory. I said ok. I kept walking around looking at the wigs..5 min later I pass by the owner and she said to me..What you need...I said nothing yet..Im just looking around but thank you. just left. Not sure if the owners were rude or if it was a communication/language barrier...OR BOTH! .As soon as you walk in you feel you are in the movie ..Menace to Society. You know what I mean!!!? Some of the wigs were ok from what I saw. Some that I would of bought but I DONT KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR..lol Wouldnt go back unless I have some one that knows about wigs with me..
