As a second time bride insistent upon making up for my first horribly ugly cake, my bar was set super high and I was worried I’d be let down again. Not only did the end result WOW us visually but it tasted amazing too! My vision was captured every step of the way and I can honestly say everything was exceptional! The Wow Factor is where you should go to get your wedding cake in Charlotte. We were obviously excited about the cake tasting part of wedding planning, but didn’t expect to love ALL of our options so much! When COVID hit a week before our original wedding date, the Wow Factor was not only kind enough to help us postpone (and ultimately postpone again), but also made and delivered to our home a small wedding cake for my husband and I when we still chose to get married on our original date. It was incredibly meaningful and helped make our day so special. I will always be grateful. Ultimately, the cake at our postponed reception was both beautiful and delicious. I will absolutely be returning to the Wow Factor for all of my cake needs in the future.

Wow Factor provided our wedding cake in September, 2020. They executed our vision for the cake perfectly. There is nothing more that we could have asked for. They offer a wide variety of cake and frosting flavors as well as design options. The price was right in line with our budget, too. We highly recommend Wow Factor!

My fiancee and I were excited to sample the cake flavors provided by Wow cakes. However we never made it to the tasting. The sample box did not include the flavors we wanted to taste and the bakery was unwilling to compromise to provide us with the samples we wanted. We could have paid an additional fee for the flavors we wanted, but it seemed as though we were being penalized for disliking the flavors in the tasting box. Definitely not a wowing experience.Edit: We offered to pay more per cake sample. The box contains 5 samples for $20 ($4 per sample). We offered to pay $5 per sample (for the 2 we liked) and were still turned down. No discount would needed to be given.

The Wow Factor team was wonderful to work with in creating our daughter’s wedding cake. They offer many creative options, and their cake is delicious. We opted for three flavors on the varying layers...almond, lemon, and chocolate. All were excellent. When we had to reschedule twice due to Covid, they were great to work with us, offering flexibility and fairness. Everything worked out beautifully and we have received many compliments on the cake.

Lei Cristine was amazing to work with! She was responsive, flexible, and beyond helpful. We met with her twice to discuss the design, flavors, etc of our wedding cake and a grooms cake. WOW Factor surpassed our expectations!! They were able to take our ideas and put all of them on a cake- unbelievable! Both of the cakes were beautiful and SO TASTY! We *almost* didnt want to eat them because of how amazing they looked. We are so excited to eat the top of our cake at our anniversary!

Not only are the cakes amazing and tastes delicious, the staff here is WONDERFUL. I had called them a week before my grandmothers 92 birthday to request a cake and not only were they gracious enough to squeeze us in their busy schedule, they made a custom cake just for her. This places above and beyond.

Our wedding cake was amazing! We went with Wow Factor Cakes originally because we felt that they would do the best job with the design, but as soon my (now) husband put that cake in my mouth at our wedding I was amazed at how delicious it tasted too!! It was seriously soooo good. They were super flexible during the planning process as well and let us change our middle layer flavor around a month before the wedding. The tasting we had was a lot of fun (but the day of cake tasted so much better than the sample so dont worry if the tasting isnt as perfect as you might imagine), and they gave us coffee to drink while we tasted everything. We got multiple compliments on the taste and look of our wedding cake!

Wonderful establishment for specialty cakesSince I live out of the area. I conducted the entire order by email. We exchanged pictures of a groomsman cake I surprised my son with at the rehearsal dinner. It was a hit, especially the vanilla cake layer with raspberry and white chocolate. Both layers made to look like 2 tires stuck in the mud! I would trust this business with any special event cake you need. Thank you WOW.

The Wow Factor Cakes was incredibly wonderful to work with. I changed my design twice and Amy was so understanding on my vision for the cake. Wow is right!!!! The cake was stunning!!! I came to Amy with some pretty unique ideas - I wanted something that no one had ever seen before - and Amy absolutely nailed it! She took inspiration from our reception venue, which was an art gallery full of brightly colored glass sculpture. Some of the guests actually thought it was a piece of art, they couldnt believe it was really cake! The sugar glass (her specialty) on the wedding cake was gorgeous, and the grooms cake (running shoes) was so realistic, our guests were in awe, and posting photos all night long. Everyone was blown away by how delicious the different cake flavors were. I absolutely could not have had a better experience, and I highly recommend Wow Factor Cakes. I was very happy with the quality and look of my wedding cake last summer. My husband and I had so much fun sitting down for a cake tasting and choosing from all the delicious flavor combinations - it was hard to choose just three! We tasted samples from some other bakeries in Charlotte but none compared to Wow Factor. Amys cakes are flavorful and delicious without being overly sweet. Ive also been by her store to purchase cupcakes for other occasions and they were excellent. Highly recommend!

We had our wedding cake done through Wow Factor Cakes and it was amazing. I am not usually a big cake person, but I loved this one. As did the guests as they are still commenting on it four months later! Not only was it delicious, our cake was beautiful - simple but elegant. Wow Factor was so easy to work with too. They had everything ready to go for our tasting when we arrived, listened to my very vague idea of what we were looking for, and was able to help finalize a design within about 30 minutes.

I honestly have to say, Dont waste your time sampling and talking with other cake places. Wow Factors Cakes in Charlotte is the BEST! My mother who is a cake snob said this was the best cake she had ever had. Chris and Amy were awesome to work with and designed a beautiful creation to go along with the colors of my wedding. They matched my colors exactly. Very pleased with their customer service.

My husband and I were SO pleased with our wedding cake from The Wow Factor! We wanted a cake that was simple but elegant, and when we went for our tasting, The Wow Factor had lots of pictures and designs for us to look at. We were able to quickly pick out the style and size we wanted, and the end result was absolutely stunning! We were extremely happy with our cake flavor choice as well, and the only disappointment was that we didnt get to eat enough of it on our wedding day! I requested a special design grooms cake and was very pleased. The WOW Factor Cake Design was very professional and creative. They listened to what I had in mind and shaped it into a fantastic cake ! It was a doctors bag with items coming out of it that reflected my sons character. Everyone at the rehearsal dinner was truly WOWed by the design. The best part was that the cake was absolutely delicious ! I didnt want to cut into the design but the taste of the cake made it all worth while.

The Wow Factor Cakes definitely lives up to their name! The cake they made for our wedding was definitely WOW worthy! They were great to work with and very professional. I loved that they incorporated our monogram design from our invitations on to our cake, and they they sent a digital viewing of what the cake will look like. The flavor of the cake was amazing and mouth watering probably the best Ive ever had !! They also had so much selection to choose from from flavors, design, style I felt like they really had all the equipment they needed to make the cake of my dreams where as many other cake vendors I spoke with said they couldnt do the design I wanted but charged the same price. Also they sent us home with cake to eat at the hotel which was nice cause I didnt have time to eat it at the actual wedding. I went on May 10, 2013 to order a birthday cake for my boyfriend. His birthday was May 14, 2013, so the order was pretty short notice. I went in with no idea of how I wanted the cake to look. All I could tell the guy that took my order (Chris I think is his name or kevin cant remember) was that my boyfriend liked the Miami heat.I picked the cake up and honestly was a little disappointed because I thought it was really small ( 8in round). Once my boyfriend cut a piece of cake I noticed that it had 3 BIG layers with just the right amount of icing. After tasting the cake I could not say a word because I was so amazed at how good the cake was!!! The butter cream icing was so smooth and just right with the sweetness. Everyone that tasted the cake LOVED it!I love the cake so much I hope they will be able to help me with my soon to be one year old birthday cake! We knew right away that Amy at Wow Factor was a fit for our unconventional and ambitious wedding cake design when she didnt flinch at our crazy proposal- rather, she embraced the idea with enthusiasm and excitement! Later- when the stand I helped fabricate as part of the design failed structurally, she came through again with her own alternative design and delivered a novel masterpiece that dropped everyones jaws at the wedding! On top of all that it was delicious! Im only sad that I dont plan on getting married more often! Otherwise, Id be using Amy each time! :)

When I was planning my wedding last year, the one common recommendation I heard was Wow Factor Cakes. I would ask people where they suggested for gowns, catering, photography, videography, transportation, etc. - and the only question to which I got one answer was a cake place - Wow Factor. I knew I had to check this place out. My fiance and I arrived to a rich smell of buttercream and vanilla, and were greeted by the owner, who couldnt have been more friendly or easy to talk to. After listening to our ideas, Amy gave us several types of cake & icing to taste. Even the presentation on the samples was perfect, and my fiance commented on the generous portion sizes. We made the decision on the flavors then and there.Over the next few months, I was in touch with Amy often to discuss the design of the cake. She had wonderful ideas on how to incorporate my colors, style of the wedding, and even wedding flowers into the cake. I was very pleased with how easy it was to get in touch with her; it never took more than 24 hours to hear back from her.We were blown away at the reception when we saw our gorgeous cake illuminated in the spotlight! The detailed fondant flowers atop the cake, as well as the gorgeous swag & gold-dusted buttons decorating each layer, were exquisite. The almond-flavored inside with raspberry preserve & white chocolate mousse were delicious, and exactly what we wanted. Everyone commented on the incredible looks and flavor of the cake, which is exactly what I had heard from other brides who had recommended Wow Factor.We would not recommend any other place. Even going inside the shop is fun; the cakes on display are all very interesting and different, and Amy and staff will truly drop anything to sit down and talk to you. Wow Factor is the most delectable bakery in the world!

I wanted to exchange my cake order for something else. I gave a 6 months notice. They were not willing to change it. When I called them the first time the lady said she would give me a 50% percent of my deposit back and I asked her if I could use the remaining of the money towards a different order because I did not want to waste almost $300. She told me yes and to ask about it when I came to get the 50% of the deposit. So I did exactly that. When I got and reasked and reassured everything, the owner had retracted on her word. She said I was only able to get half of my deposit back. So I told them that I did not want to waste any money so So the worker says the only way that this would be possible is if I substituted the entire deposit for a cake and I had said okay to that. I start asking her how big the cake would be for a deposit that was almost $600. The lady tells me that is depends on the design. Then she walks away and goes and ask something to the owner. The owner comes back to me and tells me that she can not do any of it. And that what I need to do is just take the half of the 50% of the deposit back. Now of course I am upset because I was told I could do one thing and now you tell me you cant do that because it is too confusing and complicated to just substitute my order for something else. Long story short bad customer service and the workers are not on the same page as the owner. Dont offer me something and I decide to go with it and then you say no. I am so disappointed and I wasted about $300.

I was referred to Amy at The Wow Factor Cakes and she was such a delight to work with. She created an awesome cake for my sisters 30th birthday. Everyone complimented on the cake and especially how moist and flavorful it was...DELISH! Before guests got to enjoy the cake theres a little story behind it. We had a little mishap while picking up the cake and trying to transport it ourselves....and by little mishap I mean she had to basically rebuild the cake in a matter of hours. Amy and her staff literally saved the cake and our day!!!! She even offered to deliver the cake to ensure it would get to its destination in one piece :-) We were truly impressed with Amy and her extra efforts. Our first experience with The Wow Factor Cakes was wonderful! We met Amy & Chris recently at a birthday party and learned about their business among just small talk. As we were preparing for a UNC Charlotte spring game dinner party, we decided to call them for help with the dessert. Called and ordered a custom Shrek cake and cupcakes cakes. Wow doesnt even describe the quality and over all experience. Will be back in six months for my new borns first birthday cake. Great flavor, great work. Shrek neverooked so good !!

We had WOW Factor Cakes create our wedding cake, as well as WOW-ee pops for our cookie bar. They were a huge hit!! Amy was incredible to work with. We actually had a change the day before the wedding with the cake because I couldnt find the cake stand we needed for the top tier. Amy immediately updated the cake so that it all still was cohesive even without the cake stand dividing it. We had red velvet and pink lemonade for the cake and it was divine!! Red velvet can be really difficult to have perfect because it can be dry - but this red velvet was INCREDIBLE! For the Wow-ee cake pops, these were a huge hit at the wedding. During the reception, people would pause during dancing and pick up a pop! We had lemon, pink lemonade, red velvet, and mocha. Amy decorated them to match the decor and they looked amazing on the cookie bar! I highly recommend WoW Factor Cakes for anyone getting married - or even if you just need a fabulous cake! Amy can create ANYTHING you want!!
