Ended up going to this location because it was the only one within 50 miles to have a swivel chair we wanted. Very quick service in the furniture department. There were so many helpful people it really made shopping here wonderful. I would have never thought to buy furniture at Big Lots, but a few years back we needed a table for our kitchen nook, after looking high and low I found a table and its still in perfect condition. We decided to look for a chair here and they had a pretty nice one. This location in Charlotte is huge. If my husband wasnt with me I could have browsed more. 😃

I went by with a friend who needed an affordable bed option. We had a very friendly staff member helping us. I was mostly there because I had a truck so I dont remember the gentlemans name who was helping us.

I dont think many people know just how nice some of their furniture is. I tend not to come here a lot, I almost forget about them and then when something brings me in here Im like they got some nice stuff here...

I was there one morning to look for an item. They only had one register opened and there was a customer that wanted a price check for all of her items. Rather than the cashier calling for assistance, she allowed the line to get long. So I left and went to Target where I should have initially gone.

If you know anything about me (go read my reviews), I am very honest and lucrative about my criticisms when it comes to any and every place because I want my lovely YELP community to know the absolute truth and dont waste their time/money/kindness at an establishment. I love me a discount/budget friendly place (free is better), so Big Lots is somewhere I visit before thinking about paying full price for items that are going to be abated. Put it like this, nothing stays at full value especially man-made items (which essentially is everything) so discover the deal and exploit it.This Big Lots is the utter, downright WORST store that I have been to in North Carolina. Let me break it down,(1) They severely lack customer service. When I went there today, 7/27/21, the lady at the checkout line treated me like I was so third world, hand-me-down patron that was not spending any money. So Trey, how do you know that? Answer: Well, she was immensely pleasant and amiable to the purchaser in front of me. When I approached the register and proceeded to pay, she looked at me in disgust, didnt speak to me or ask me any leading questions (such as are you a rewards member, which I am) like she did with the person in front of me. I pay attention to everything and did not comprehend or grasp her flawed reasoning for treating me that way.2) THEY NEVER HAVE ITEMS IN STOCK and their shelves are always empty.2a) The items that are supposed to be on the shelves are in boxes that are scattered across the stores. Its like that EVERY TIME I go.3) When you ask them a question on the floor, they literally behave thoroughly condescending and if I am bothering them. B!***, this is YOUR JOB! Ugh...4) The items that are on the shelves are usually tampered with (opened or damaged); so if I wanted to get it, I dont because the condition is horrid.Like I always say, CUSTOMER SERVICE is exceedingly essential in any business and when its not exercised in a positive manner, you automatically get one (1) star; but this location has too many faults. If I could give negative stars or none at all, I would.All in all, if you want to get any items, then dont surrender your precious time or money at this Big Lots thats a lot of atrociousness.Cheers Mate$! The store itself is huge. The cashier Jackie was really nice. The store lead Kevin was very rude and unprofessional. I will never go back to this store again. When he caught a attitude and I told him I was going to call In on him he told me to call because I would be speaking to him anyway. Thats not customer service and there is no customer service without the customer. I will be taking further actions because everyone has a boss.

I visited today, Saturday January 16th. The man in the furniture section that helped us was fantastic. Extremely friendly, quick, & he even walked us out to help us get our stuff in the car. There were several other customers there being helped by him as well. Wish I had gotten his name. I was there around 1 pm.

I drove 45 minutes to this particular Big Lots because the website said they were in stock of certain chairs and tables. I get there and they do not have any. Came in contact with two Associates, neither were helpful or courteous. If Im ever in this area again I will not return. And I most definitely will not drive all the way here again.

Its like hunting for treasure! The store was a little disorganized but perhaps thats because I came an hour before close. Thats on me. There was so many little hidden gems. I cant believe Ive not been in before! If youre looking for ways to decorate your home and not spend a ton of money, I recommend taking a peek inside!

Purchased “Trent” recliner from Lancaster, SC store on May 24, 2019. Chair literally fell apart within months(maybe it was the plywood support beams in base🤯). Paid $433.81 Long story short - they refused to refund $ but did offer a NEW chair. I told them that I did not want the same chair AGAIN because it’s junk. Anyway, reluctantly took their deal. The Trent recliner. It fell apart again in months. I contacted corporate office literally 30 or more times from Nov. 19th 2020 - January 2nd 2021. Finally received a call from a very rude man who refused to refund ANY money but said that I could go to the store and get “something done about it” I gave up which is exactly what they want you to do. I did report them to the BBB. BigLots is NOT a member!! WTHeck ! Rude customer support + shoddy products = lost customers

Hey lets just let mask-less customers hang out in the front of the store. In front of the mask display no less. I have a compromised immune system and I definitely did not feel safe today. Done with Biglots, I can get the same products at Target or Walmart

What a great store if you have never been to big lots you are going to be blown away by there items and prices. Last minute gift items or everyday needs just pop in to big lots and get your shopping done.

Do not place an order online for pick up in store! Obviously our order wasn’t picked fast enough and our order was canceled due to unavailability. Better off going to a different store where you know you’ll receive your items!! I even called to check on the order after it was placed and was assured it was “in process”.

I love this place

I realize its a closeout store, but their prices dont always reflect that. Many of the items are normal retail prices. Occasionally Im able to find a good deal. For that I give them 2 stores. However, this store location is well laid out and staff is helpful and friendly, so I bump them up to 3 stars.

Every one that I talked to at this location was super helpful, I went in to buy dining chairs because Ijust moved and needed chairs for Thanksgiving. Well the boxes wouldnt fit in my car. I was a little devastated, Ryan(amazing big lots employee) brought the boxes to my and took the out of the chairs out of the box so that I could take them home now.

I honestly felt disappointed when I left the store. The level of customer service I received was sub par at the highest level. Melvin the manager was very rude, unprofessional and had a very unpleasant demeanor. I will not be patronize this store.

Very surprised at the organization of the store. Typically these tend to be a little rough, but this facilty is top notch. Good merchandising and adjacencies that make sense. Stock levels are good and even the staff is upbeat

This store has all home needs. I recently found an adjustable ironing board with sturdy legs for great price. They Carry bedroom, bathroom, kitchen decor. Even have indoor and outdoor furniture.

This big lots, never ever would I ever shop here again. When my family and I decided to go here, we needed a mattress. Unfortunately we choose to finance it. Little did we know or were told that in 90days the total price will doubles. A simple 600 dollar purchase turns into a 1200 problem.

Curbside pickup ran by incompetent people. With an empty store, waited outside 10 minutes for no one to come out. Finally just walked in...

Always a good experience shopping here. They have recently changed the store look around which is nice. All employees are very nice and always willing to help.

I have been coming to this store for almost 3 years; and EVERY TIME I come I have a small shoulder bookbag with me (smaller than most purses women carry). Tonight upon entering your store, your store manager stopped me and asked me to leave my bag at the register. Its an extremely uncomfortable situation having to explain that your bag containd all of your personal belongings; especially having multiple woman enter prior ti you with bags much longer & not get tge same treatment. This is EXTREMELY SEXIST and needs to be delt with immediately.

Love this place. This place is great when looking for affordable home goods and things you didn’t think you needed. If you have an accountability partner travel with them lol you’ll end up buying the whole store lol.

There use to be one on South blvd and archdale rd but it got relocated a few years back. The staff arent friendly wish they had better staff. If you want to checkout quickly I suggest using the furniture dept register!
