Never was I greeted or spoken to. Lovely selection of fabric and lamps but never asked if they could help me and I certainly would have liked that. Many of women sitting behind the desk and going back and forth to the back. It’s just not hard to be gracious, welcoming and kind, Ladies. People want to buy something from you. Be thankful for the business and strive to gain loyalty. If you just want to be a design business, that’s great...but when someone comes in wanting to spend their money in your store, they should be the priority in that moment. Shoot, if they don’t want to spend money, just browse, what a wonderful opportunity for you to make them feel welcome. Surely you do not want a poor reputation throughout Charlotte. Just food for thought. And I’ve never understood snobbish women. But if I ever have the privilege of having you in my store or my home, I’ll show you how good it feels to be warmly welcomed and treated graciously. Sad.

I frequently browsed through this store after work. I am a very hard working Chemo Registered Nurse whom loves to decorate. I am usually in my scrubs and am clean and professional. The woman working here rarely even look my way. Ive never been asked “ do you need any help”? In fact, I feel quite invisible as I observe other women, in fashionable street clothes, receiving assistance.I guess if I were to judge them and give an honest critique, I would say they are snobby and selective as to whom they help. Hopefully this Pandemic has taught them to respect the health care workers who enjoy some normalcy, freed up from the intensity of working in their new environment. And who knows, maybe one day, God forbid, I will be their nurse. I am certain that I will treat them with respect and equality.

A lady named Marie was very helpful and nice. The thing that is appalling about this place is the prices. Outrageously high. I went to Joannes fabrics and found beautiful fabric for a fraction as much. Case in point: Front Doors fabrics seem to average $40/yard. I found equally as pretty and quality fabrics at Joannes for $15 - $20 per yard. They do have some budget fabrics, but the selection is small. When I called Front Door about making my drapes, using Joannes fabrics, I was told there would be a 20% up-charge on the labor if they use a fabric from outside. What?! Seems snobby to me. I could understand maybe 5%, but really? 20? Its my impression that one has to be rich to shop and use services here. At this point, Im still waiting for the owner to call me back. Left a message Wednesday. But since Im a budget customer, Im a waste of time. One last thing. With all else said above, another thing that convinces me they only cater to the rich is the fact that their hours are 10-4 M-F and 10-4 Sat. Well ok. Good that they are open on Sat. but what if someone who actually has a M-F 8-5 job needs to come in during the week. Who can do that? Rich women who have nothing else to do except play tennis, get pedicures and decorate their mansions. Otherwise, you have to wait til Saturday or take time off work during the week.

Every now and then, I write a positive review. I feel this is important in these days of social media. Im new to the area having moved from another state. Ive gone to numerous fabric places in the area, and I discovered this fabric store on a whim and went in to browse. They were friendly and professional. Bought a few things and returned a few times just to look. They have lovely fabrics and a wonderful selection.I had a duvet cover made that turned out beautifully and have since purchased many smaller ticket items such as trim, fabrics and inserts for pillows, and nick knacks. The owner is great and called me when the pandemic shut down occurred and personally arranged for me to pick up my order. The other ladies with whom I dealt have also been equally as kind. A shout out to Collette who gave me design inspiration by choosing some wonderful trim for me. If you are looking for decorating inspiration or if you are a fabric junky like me and just prefer to browse, you will feel at home here.

Amazing service and beautiful fabrics!

Beautiful, amazing selection of fabrics. The inventory and choices are so extensive that one could be overwhelmed. staff are so knowledgeable that they wasted no time taking me to exactly what I needed. The display of fabrics and interior accessories are color organized. I have shopped for fabrics on line prior to my visit but I must say NOTHING compares to personal attention and advice from knowledgeable designers and seeing the fabric in person. Prices are competitive.Another tip: If you are looking for a quality, custom sofa, you should check out Front Door Fabrics.

I went into this place and mentioned that I needed to have pillows made for a new couch and there were five women working. These five women sat behind the counter conversing as if I weren’t there and didn’t offer to help me. One person grabbed one fabric for me and then disappeared. After that I couldn’t seem to get her attention again. There are plenty of other fabric stores where I can actually find people who are willing to help so I will not return to Front Door Fabrics. Note, Multiple reviewers below say they did not feel welcomed here at all. I share that sentiment. READ through the reviews. I also do not buy the owner’s reply below. Truth, the manager found a single fabric for me. After that, forget it.Perhaps the service would have been better had they realized how many pillows and window treatments they had made for me in the past when they were at another location. NEVER AGAIN. It’s not the first time I’ve gone in Front Door Fabrics and been ignored. This is why I decided to take the time to write this review. I’ve felt this way multiple times in this store.

Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff! Beautiful fabric, furniture and accessories. They did our entire master bedroom and bathroom, complete with a custom chair. we couldn’t be more thrilled with the way it turned out. Highly recommend them for all your decorating needs.

I have been working with the ladies at Front Door for over a year now. Window treatments, fabrics, rugs and accessories. Always helpful and never pushy. I love the way my rooms are turning out! Highly recommend!

We were not greeting when we entered the business. There were three the store associates at the front counter involved in their own conversation. They do have a great selection, but after the lack of attention from one of the six people that were working there. We took her $300 to another Store 20 minutes away and had fantastic service. If you need grace lection they have it. If you expect to be helped forget about it.

Believe the bad reviews. Im not sure why they have a shop thats open to the public since they arent much interested in selling to the general public. Went in, looked around, tried to ask a question because I wanted some drapes for a bedroom - was never greeted, nor could I get anyone to make eye contact. I would understand if they were three deep in customers, but they were not. If this is how they behave when theyre trying to sell you their product, imagine how poor the customer service must be after theyve gotten your money?

The staff at Front Door Fabrics is very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great collection of fine fabrics and home accessories. I highly recommend it.

I am completely appalled by how we were treated in here. The associates in this store only want to help you if you’re a big client. Otherwise; get used to being treated like you’re bothering them with valid questions about the fabrics. I’ve never been made to feel more unwelcome in a store by anyone, than here. I was ready to buy fabric for multiple pieces and re upholster a chair. I went elsewhere, where I was treated with respect. How dare you treat customers like they’re a bother.

Poor customer service. I walked around the entire store and absolutely no one approached me. I wouldnt have been bothered by this if someone didnt look directly at me and continued to walk by without saying a word twice.
