The staff is friendly and the books are brilliant! They select great books from a large range of topics and will order them for you if you cant find what you want. The staff selections are always on point.

A quaint little bookstore in downtown Charlottsville. My kids both found several books they wanted.

This is my favorite place to buy books. Its a beautiful setting for exploring, especially if you are spending a few hours enjoying the downtown mall. The staff is excellent and will order whatever you need. If you visit on a weekday (post-pandemic), you can make the afternoon perfect by heading a few doors down to Timberlakes for an ice cream soda afterward.

Special orders or buy off the shelf, a classic, small bookseller with a good variety of books.

Went Christmas shopping here and had a great experience. I had to wait outside to get in as they try to keep patrons in the store limited during COVID. Once in, they had so much to choose from. I was shopping for multiple people and they had something for everyone. When I couldn’t find certain books the staff was super helpful. Great little bookstore.

Excellent bookstore with knowledgeable staff and excellent COVID protocols. Do not be deterred by a locked door during store hours as they are limiting number of customers but we had the pleasure of the store to ourselves. Felt safe and sanitized. Excellent collection of books. One of those stores and walk in and see everything you’ve been meaning to read. Very nice staff.

New Dominion Bookshop was tremendously helpful with creating a care package as a gift for a loved one. I worked with them both through email and on the phone and they were always prompt with responding. They personally tailored a book list based on the recipients interests, gift wrapped them after asking for my input on gift wrap options, and delivered them to a location in the Charlottesville area. Their customer service is top notch and they have a knowledgeable staff with a great collection of books. Fantastic!

Not really open. You have to do computer stuff, call people, meet them outside to buy your book - completely sight unseen. Just go to Abebooks or eBay instead, instead of wasting time and money to park and walk here.

I stopped by while in Charlottesville on business. The place was amazing. It was a decent size and had lots of variety. Perfect for someone looking to get away from the Barnes and Nobles scene.

Loved this bookshop and wished that I had something similar near me! It is two story with a large selection. they also do events on their second floor, such as independent films screenings.

A delightful book store filled with books, and staffed by knowledgeable, book-loving owner and booksellers. If you are in Charlottesville, you may find yourself wishing to spend hours and hours there. The shop is on the Downtown Mall, and easily accessible.
