They are enthusiastic and welcome newbies (me. They welcomed me). And the fabric selection is large and beautiful.

I stood outside at 10:00 waiting for them to open. There also was another women waiting. Two women were inside walking around and talking. After no one came to open the doors, I left! They need better customer service. That was very rude.

Lovely staff. Even though you arent allowed into the store to shop, they do have creative ways to shop. All the fabrics can be seen from the window and can be brought out to you. I am getting back into quilting after a many year absence. They took the time to help me find my inspiration piece of the colors and then worked dilligently and helped me chose the the other fabrics shade and even helped choosing the fabric order I needed to put them to get a certain shade effect. The whole process took probably about 1-2 hrs. They had smiles on their faces and were very accommodating. Even though everyone had to wear masks and hand-sanitize, it was still a fun experience and cant wait to go back again in the the post COVID world. Its a small town shop with sm. town values which are sadly disappearing more and more. Support local and sm. businesses!!!!

Wonderful shop for good quality cotton print fabrics. They specialize in quilting with lots of ideas for projects. They sell Bernina machines.

Cottonwood operated during the pandemic shutdown in an unusual way for their customers and was very careful to insure safety for all. Really appreciated their customer service during this time. Cant wait for the re-opening.

I love this shop. I bought my Bernina 590, have taken regular classes and a Bernina Academy Class there. All had very knowledgable instructors. Their fabric is top quality and of course they have kits, any foot or book or attachment you might want!! Mary and her staff are always helpful with questions and willing to ship items If need be.

Never been here before items were in the store and they brought what you might wNt out to you. It’s a good way to shop without spreading disease

Great selection of fabrics and notions, kits and patterns, and a lovely staff who knows their inventory and their craft. My trip was to refresh my stash, and I came away perfectly happy. At checkout, I was informed that my purchase qualified me for a free yard of fabric, which I chose to take on my return trip. Love this shop!

As a total novice to the of quilting it was suggested I visit this store and sign up for a beginner class. The amount of material here is amazing. It will be difficult to make a choice for sure. The lady at the desk, Lorrie, was so helpful. She explained what the class covers and how you have a lovely wall hanging or baby blanket at the end. She took the time to discuss what my options are about a sewing machine, told me next class is in January, and gave me a supply list from the last class. She told me the teacher gives assistance in material selection as well. I am so looking firward to this class! Additionally there are many beautiful quilts on display.

Lovely quilt shop. The ladies are really helpful and are happy to answer questions. They have a good selection of Bernina machines there for sale. They also have a nice rewards program. They have quilting classes as well, but I havent taken one yet.

Was in the store first time today. Very organized and very friendly staff. Will be back next time I am in Charlottesville.

This is a wonderful shop with a lot of variety of fabrics. The women who work here are fabulous and always willing to help. Definitely one of my favorite quilt shops.

Great fabric shop with a nice selection of fabrics. The prices are at least $1 or more higher than other shops Ive been in, which I can only assume is because their overhead is higher... Still love going in and spending what I can. :-)

I passed through Charlottesville last weekend. I am always looking for fabric. I had read a few negative reviews about machine repair an was a little leary. I dont know anything about that but I had a Wonderful time!!!! I was treated extremely well an I have a strong hillbilly accent😀 Beautiful fabric little pricey but youre getting quality fabric. They also had a great Friday the 13th sale. I cant wait to go back. Check it out!!!!

Very disappointed, that after checking Facebook, and driving an hour and a half, this store was closed. Facebook had hours open today until 6. Last year while on vacation, I made the trip and it was also closed even though it was advertised to be open that day. I wont bother to go again when I visit the area.
