The Indian Bazar is a nice little Indian foods store with a huge variety of spices and rice in bulk. A good selection of frozen and refrigerated products. My 2 favorite things to buy there are paneer and garlic naan. Often on Fridays and Saturdays they sell freshly made samosas. Very vegetarian friendly!!
Good but some of the items are expired. Doesn’t taste or smell good. Be careful before you take out.
Love this store. Amazing selection of Indian/International foods. The staff there is very helpful and friendly especially the cashier lady.
Compact store with good selection and strict masking.
This store doesn’t have price tags on items. The store owner will charge random prices whatever she likes at billing. Most of the food in the freezer is expired. Be aware of it before purchasing it and eating. All the vegetables are rotten, and if we think to buy them, prices are skyrocketed after we saw the bill (because none will have price tags). Please avoid this store.
Convenient for basic items, however check the expiration dates on everything and if it doesnt have one, consider it expired. Items are also overpriced.
Lovely store with plenty of selection to chose from. The lady working behind the register is very kind and helpful; in fact several items didn’t have clearly marked prices and she happily scanned each item to tell the exact prices. All in all, good experience and I will be back again!
Great selection. So many specialty items. Store associate is very helpful, quick and friendly. Seriously come to this store. I love it. So many wonderful things to try
Its on the smaller side but I got everything I needed easily.
Excellent products and services. This is the place to go for indian food
Really great service and has all the essentials! Its tight packed but definitely has a lot of great options and some good produce!
I bought rice there--very overpriced compared to other stores. I also bought yogurt and it went bad a good week before the expiration date. I do not plan to go there again.
Lots to select from, staff very helpful
Friendly store .... i love to shop there.high recommended.
Good for Indian grocery shopping.
- palace. I brought my Indian friends here, and they were thrilled to recognize the grocery items that they had back home. Prices seem reasonable, and the store is pretty clean and well organized.
Really great. I almost got everything that I was looking for.
Not all items are fresh here; specillay vegetables, but there are few things hard to find anywhere else in Charlottesville, today I couldnt find any expiration date on puffed rice, asked the cashier about it, she replied - I have no idea !
Very good service
Shop is good and the owner the female she is very helpful and nice women. No looting at all
What? How this store has gotten 4 stars?? Half of their products are expired. It is a messy store and even does not smell good. Everything is so expensive there.
Please disregard the comment/review posted four years ago. Since that time the store has been under new management and expanding. Please stop by to see the change and if you are looking for varieties of Basmati Rice, Nan, Parathas and of course SPICES, this would be a place.
I am sure the owner is not Indian and pretend to be indian. Prices are very high, average 1-2 dollar per item can easily take you down a lot.
Fresh curry leaves, chillies, Indian vegetables, paneer, naan bread, basmati rice, lentils galore, spices, pickles, chutneys and lots more! An indispensable resource for lovers of Indian cuisine.
Good customer service, great selection of Indian food item.
