The dishwasher died and the clothes dryer was acting out. So we went shopping. Saturday we had shopped several other places before going to American Freight in Chesapeake. We were comparing prices. Tom was so helpful and could answer my questions. He took us to the items and showed us features of the product to seal the deal (he didnt just point). We had made our selection on the 2 items, paid the bill and was ready to take the items with us within 50 minutes. Tom also made sure we had the correct plug and wall connecters for the dryer. Tom also sold us 5 year service warranties on both items. Ive always shopped at Sears and I hated to see them go. Thank You so much. When my fridge dies Ill be back. It was the first time my 33 year old son had seen how to shop for appliances, all said, it was an awesome 1st experience.

Our salesman, Eddie Macharo helped with our purchase. He was polite, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We particularly liked his no pressure sales help. My husband and I were able to look around, with Eddie being close enough to answer questions without being right there with us! We will be shopping there again, and will look for Eddies expertise! Definitely a discount appliance store worth the visit. We just bought our fridge today for an insane steal. Ill update in the future for how its been running. We will definitely check this store out before buying from factory stores. Some of the items have cosmetic damage but thats what the price cut is for. They will even have further sales to add on it. They do offer warranties as well. They do deliveries and pick up for $15.They also have some furniture here too. For a steal of a price. The store came recommended to us. Nice staff as well very attentive and helpful.

While I haven’t yet received the product ordered, (I only just ordered it) the customer service to answer my questions and the follow-up service after ordering to let me know the status was professional, courteous and very much appreciated! Good service is hard to come by, but that does not apply to Eddie at this store. He was very helpful, easily accessible and patient with my many questions. How great is this store for top-notch appliances at DEEP discounts! Several years ago, when I was building my house, the builder ran off with six figures of my life savings. I had to finish the house on a shoestring. So much for my cooks kitchen. Or, so I thought. I found this store. The manager, Eddie, was fantastic. I got my dream kitchen appliances after all, and saved thousands of dollars in the process. I just went back for a new refrigerator. Same great service and sales, and Eddie is still there! Ronnie and Ivey were the best delivery team. They somehow managed to get the giant fridge to the upstairs of my barn house! Why spend more money that you have to for great appliances?

The people were nice and I got a good deal on a dented appliance. BUT..... brought it home and it didn’t work. Didn’t even turn on! I called the store and they offered me another appliance (higher value) at no additional cost but I would need to pick it up and bring the broken one back because I live an hour away from the store. Really? You sell me a broken appliance and I have to haul it back?The manager called me back and offered to send a service tech out in a “few” days. So you can send a service tech out but you can’t bring me an appliance? Why would I want you to have to service a new appliance? It should’ve worked when I brought it home. And yes, I have to haul the broken one back to get a refund and yes, I could just pick up and bring the other one back but at this point, I don’t trust that the other one will work.Spend the extra money and go buy a shiny new appliance from the big box stores. This seemed like a great deal but it came with such an inconvenience.

Recently made a purchase after checking 4 other stores. Needed an appliance right away. The sales associate Romeo was amazing. He was professional, knowledgeable and even sold us an extended warranty. We never buy warranties but Romeo was so knowledgeable about all the benefits of the appliance and the warranty we had to purchase it as well. Great service and a great price!

I bought a number of appliances and furniture, everything was perfect except for an issue I experienced with my stove. I spoke to Eddie about it and he got me taken care of immediately. Eddie is great. Called desperate for a large freezer. He told me what they had in stock. We went, picked it up and we’re back home with it plugged in and running in less than an hour. Saved all the food in my broken freezer. Y’all saved the day!

Shoddy defective appliances. 2 out of 3 New appliances have quit working within 3 months. This was after having to replace the first fridge because of delivery damage. They dont back the warranty or service their appliances, you have to spend hours on hold with the manufacturer to get a repairman assigned. Frigidaire assigned repairman was a week to look at the fridge and two weeks later, still no part. For the dishwasher, American Freight doesnt even have a working phone system, as it is internet based as told to me by the sales person, as he cut out and we got disconnected time after time, trying to get the info I needed for the manufacturer to get a service ticket. I wouldnt be surprised if they are selling refurbished appliances as new.

This place has items that are actually hard to find at other places. The prices are pretty nice too. Just see Eddie hell hook you up.

Jerry, the store manager, deserves a raise!! He went ABOVE AMD BEYOND to fix my problem. We bought a wall oven here about a month ago and it never worked. He was extremely attentive in finding me a replacement. Finally one became available and he has it scheduled to be delivered this week and their taking the faulty one away, at no cost to me. Now that is SPECTACULAR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will make sure to purchase all my future appliances from here through Jerry. So pleased.

Employees in store were great. Delivery was 1 1/2 hours past the 2 hor window given, with no updates. Fridge did not come with a water filter, so I have no idea of that works yet. Good prices, but service needs some improvement.

Great Service, Delivery was a little pricey due to our Zip code but the Delivery guys were very courteous and respectful even when we discovered we miss measured our new fridge. We are extremely satisfied with the services provided!

I dont usually write a bad review, but not only am I writing this bad review Im going to call headquarters. When I walked in I spoke to the salesperson, he spoke back. I proceeded to walk to the back of the store because I brought a king size mattress from the same store when it was under Sears Outlet oh, I got a great deal on a king size mattress a name brand mattress at that. I went back to the same store which is now American Freight and at the time they were transitioning from Sears Outlet to American Freight, to purchase a full size mattress for my daughters bed. As I was looking at the mattresses in the back over 20 minutes had passed by when the same sales guy had no intentions of helping me, because he was sitting in his circular desk area, not on the phone not, helping anyone else just sitting there, as I observed him doing so, I thought to myself I guess I have to look for my own mattress, so I took it upon myself to look at the rest of the mattresses to see if I could find a full size mattress for my expectations. The salesperson got sarcastic with me by singing typically this is how this thing work you come in the back, you look at the mattresses that you want to find, and then you come and get me and Ill choose a mattress for you! I swallow my pride and I look at him to choose, exactly how I want to respond to him. I choose to respond to him positively I look at him and I say to him, when I spoke to you was that not your opportunity to get up and come and help me then when you saw me going to the back and you looked over and saw me looking at the mattresses and you still did not get up oh, so this is how that works if you treat me like Im supposed to help myself self serve myself oh, then Im going to self serve myself and look for a mattress and not bother you because apparently whatever you were doing was more important than coming to helping a customer and guess what else your attitude is unappreciated so therefore you have just lost my business for this day goodbye and I walked out of the store with the 4 other people that were with me....

These guys have a very top of the line assortment of all kinds of appliances. They also carry some tools and furniture. They also have a nice 30 day warranty from the store. Tom at the desk was very helpful and was very knowledgeable. He knew what I was looking for and was willing to walk around the entire store with me to help me narrow down my search. Thanks guys!

Sears outlet has a great selection of kitchen appliances, grills, washers and dryers, and so much more. The appliances are close to 50% off of retail price because they have a scratch/dent or were display models. Don’t be discouraged, some scratches are small and are on the back or side of the appliances so you’ll never see them. Tom was super knowledgeable and helpful. He offered assistance a couple times while we were shopping but was never pushy like a salesman. Once we needed help he was right there to answer all of our questions plus more. He was very friendly, had a good sense of humor, and truly wanted to help. He made our shopping experience wonderful and I highly recommend him and the store to everyone. We will definitely be returning for our next appliance purchase! Thank you, Tom.

I bought a range from the outlet center. When it was delivered, the power didnt work. The associates arranged to replace the range with a better model (the same model being out of stock) at the same price, came out the same day to install for free, and check the electrical to make sure everything was satisfactory. This is a Sears outlet and I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator - 33 wide- hard to find everywhere else. I was very pleased with the service, price and the product. The delivery went flawlessly and the refrigerator works great. They will take your old one away for $15.

Walked in, looked around for a bed and walked right back out. I was going to purchase a bed today with a full cash purchase from this American Freight but Im keeping my money. No one in the whole store even acknowledged me as a customer. No Hello, Can I assist you or anything. Im taking my business elsewhere.And I saw 4 American Freight Representatives in the store and only 2 customers were being helped.

I was shopping around for a heavy duty machine and was approached by Tom. He was very knowledgeable and provides some answers to questions I had. Great price on a washer/dryer unit and customer service is top notch. When the item was delivered, it was missing the drainage hose. The delivery guys suggested going to a hardware store to get one to compete the installation. One call to the outlet fixed it within a half hour. Eddie came out with the part and installed it.

Chris saved us a TON on mattresses we would have paid over $4000 for anywhere else. Bargain prices and good attitudes! Refreshing these days!

The staff here are very helpful. Ive bought several appliances from here (a dishwasher, a microwave, and a treadmill) and have been happy with every one. With the savings available here i got much more bang for my buck.

Sorry for my late review. I purchased a new stacked washer and dryer on April 24,2019.The customer service I received was out of this world. The Salesman (TOM) andManager (JERRY) are the best. They are very well informed about the appliances they are selling. They are not overbearing or judgmental like some other salesman. They deliver what they promise.I was in need of an electrical washer/dryer. I was oblivious to what I needed to purchase. I didnt understand the voltage info. Tom went online and found the original model that I had in my home. And he was able to find the information for me. I purchased my washer/dryer on a Wednesday and it was delivered and set-up by Sunday.The delivery men were very professional and organized. They set-up my new washer/dryer in less then 30 minutes. Took out the old one. There were NO SCRATCHES OR DAMAGE to my new appliances. They arrived at the correct promise time as well.Transaction was great from beginning to end.Thank you Tom and Jerry (:

My 14 year old Kenmore Elite Washer served me well, but decided to call it quits. I came to the outlet having done research on several brands of washer/dryer, but determined to stick with the Elite Brand. Tom was extremely helpful and patient addressing all of my questions and concerns to replace the washer. I came in with measurements and pictures to make sure whatever I purchased would accommodate my space. Tom measured, compared and went online to verify that a new washer would meet my future needs. I wish the store (and area warehouse) would keep more washers in stock. Anyone coming in to purchase a washer is usually in urgent need. Tom looked into every possibility for me to obtain the preferred washer sooner rather than later, but the nearest location required that I pick up in NC. Not an ideal and cost effective alternative. Tom, thank you for the great customer service!

This is a nice place for appliances that may have a slight ding or dent. We bought a refrigerator there and even a nice recliner. They sell tools and tool chests too!! Went today to look at stoves in case I am unable to fix my current one. Good prices and Eddie has been the salesman I have worked with over the last 2 years. Went in the store 2/22/2020 and was not greeted. I browsed the store, found what I wanted, and asked for help. The sales rep told me twice to wait. I was tired of waiting, so I left. A few hours later I called the store to make sure they weren’t “busy”. Someone picked up the phone and slammed it back down. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. It’s sad because I was ready to purchase today.

I brought a sofa and love seat, I always go to this store for different items pots, pans, wireless ear plugs, etc... But the Staff is the best they know me by name, upon walking in the door every sales person speaks, most of all that dont try to force anything down your throat like (Grand) or other stores continually walking down behind you. They give you a chance to look around and make some choices, any question that I have asked from them was answered honestly. The entire store gets a 5 star from me. We had a fabulous experience with this Sears,the customer service I received was was wonderful. We bought a refrigerator and after about a week the ice/water dispenser stopped working. They replaced the whole thing with a brand new one with no hassle at all. The manager really went above and beyond for us and it was greatly appreciated. We plan on getting all of our appliances from them in the future .
