This store blew my expectations! I came in looking for home decor and Easter supplies and I got it. I got also some groceries that were well priced compare to other stores like Walmart . I’d definitely come visit again.

Worse dollar general Ive experienced, need better training

This store has two great workers that I have come in contact w/ young lady lei and theres a guy who always on register when I come. Both of them have great customer service skills, very pleasant people. I dont care how my day going they put a smile on my face.

A bit cluttered and one of the workers was like jammin out on their ohone while stocking but the cashier was really friendly.

They normally have everything Im looking for but they are always short staff. They also tend to have a typically unsafe environment and most likely no safety measures other than cameras. I feel there should be security or something and maybe they could have more workers to help feel comfortable within the store. This could also help the cluttered look of the merchandise that is usually on the floor in the back or unorganized on the shelves. Fixing these things could definitely help business and for a better shopping experience.

This Location needs better management, the shelves are never stocked. There are carts full of merchandise sitting around, but they still dont have what is selling on them. This is a only if I have to location to go to. Yet customer service is good, I cant say anything bad about the store clerks.

This store has rude management. I was dealing with Sky asking a few questions about their app and every answer was with an attitude. All I asked her was why the app pricing was different then what she was ringing up for me, her reply was the app is always wrong in a sassy rude voice I replied why would DG creat an app that scans and gives their customers the wrong info. I don’t know she said I asked if she would honor the price that was showing in the app her reply nope I asked why if it’s DG that is giving the wrong information to their customers from the app. I don’t know she stated . I asked for a member of management and she informed me she is a manager. Just plain out rude !!! It’s mind bothering when management acts out that way because if I didn’t shop at DG or any other customers she wouldn’t get paid!!!

As usual, the isles were all cluttered with stuff that needed to be stocked, you can never get down the isles

I visited the store today, and would like to thank the employees for following the COVID 19 guidelines Of MASK wearing for all that enters the store. I wish all other establishments would follow suit..... they dont !!!

Went inside looking for bandana, there was a big mess, everything piled everywhere, there is no order in here.

Be careful of what you purchase from this location. I purchased snacks and they were all stale. I dont think this is a high traffic producing store so their product might sit on the shelf for a while.

Bought a propane tank and nozzle had a leak! Had to bring back.

The Chicago Heights store is a mess! It is always junkie all the merchandise in boxes on the floor instead of on the shelf. In desperate need of good management!

The staff is slow and they allow too many kids to hang around in the store and beg customers checking out to help u of course for some money..it gave me a very awkward feeling. Other than that the store is well stocked.

Ive given this store a few chances too many. Every single time Ive stopped in, I regretted it. It is clearly poorly managed/staffed. It is messy, unstocked, and there is hardly anyone at the front of the store for checkout. Im sure their shrink is through the roof. This doesnt speak for all Dollar Generals because Ive visited many and none have been as bad as this one. Great value, horrible presentation, bad customer service.

Absolutely The Worst Location That I Have Ever Been... My daughter put some money on a prepaid card that she purchased and when she tried to activate the card it wouldnt allow her to do so.. We waited a while and then went back to dollar general in Chicago Heights to find out why it wouldnt allow her activate the card and she had just put 400 dollars on the card... The manger that was on duty took the information to her office and tried to activate the green dot card and it wouldnt allow her to do so as well... She then in turn called the store manager... When he walked in he was upset to began with because he had to come to the store rectify the situation... I left to go out my items in the trunk of the car and when I came back the managers voice was raised and he was cursing at my daughter... I stood back actually see what was going on before speaking and once I had my fill for the way he was acting then I asked why was his voice elevated... He then threw the card and information on the counter and stated that he didnt have to deal with this mess and ge could have stayed in bed and for the young ladie to call the district manager and get it handled... Once I asked for the district manager information as well as corporate then he walked back behind the counter and took the information and begain to take a look at the information....We were actually in the store for 1hr... He asked that my daughter try the card again and once we tried the card it let us go into other prompts that the manger as well as we were unable to go into.. He then stated that the customer had to wait until at least 30mins to activate the card... We informed him that we waot over the allotted time so his resoponse was oh well its there now... I in turn let him know that I felt it unexceptable to stand in the store and yell at customers... His response was that hes never gotten into trouble so he is not worried... As I explained to the manger there a way to conduck.yourself whrn dealing with the public....

This place is a mess all the time. This location is always cluttered, messy and poorly stocked. The employees arent helpful and usually know next to nothing about their deals and coupons and will yell through the store to ask questions. Its just an unorganized mess imo.

They never open on time !! The door says 8 but the website says 9 and they still werent open after 9. Customers are standing out in the rain because some has no vehicles but those that do are leaving..They are unprofessional and the store is always a mess

It was dirty and smelled bad in the store very musty odor that will make you nauseous. Messy and unorganized. Shelves a hot mess with products throw anywhere in the wrong area. It looked like only one person working there.

This location never opens on time and sometimes closes early. They are never stocked and when their shipments come in there are boxes all in the isles. They have many workers yet no work ever gets done.

For it to be The Dollar Store the prices were high the items were just congested too close together basically meaning items were mixed in with each other the look was decent but it was very ghetto I didnt like it at all the young man working at the store that night was Kool, but I felt like I was in the hood although I was it felt like I was in the hood.
