This store is changing. On my last visit the bathrooms were absolutely terrible. The stores lighting is off, it just looked very dark and dim the day I visited. The staff are always helpful and mostly give great service with a smile. The fruit and veggies department could certainly step their game up, especially to keep up with Petes. Food 4 Less prices are always very fair but cleanliness and lighting will help the shoppers experience and have customers coming back.

Tolerated same rude cashier again (male), at date and time I am posting this. No speaking at all, and wont even put my items on an open conveyor belt. He doesnt have to worry though, he wont see me ever again.

The weekend of a major holiday and they have 2 lanes open. Come on, let’s do better!!

Unsanitary conditions of store during a pandemic. If it is this dirty out front I can imagine what it looks like behind the scenes. They should reopen self check out land. Store needs CLEANING!

I had no problems in finding my items for my holiday cooking. I discovered that they had a meat counter. I love being able to see and pick my meats.

Love the store but hate check out there are over 15 registers and 4 open and the lines are long no express or self check out open so for 5 items I wait aim line with people who have a month worth of groceries in there cart they need to do better the cashier are ringing as fast possible just not enough of them

Just went this morning and found squad cars and a crew boarding store up. One piece had “ Store Closing” on it. When I stopped to ask the police that were there they didn’t know what was going on. Store wasn’t vandalized so I hope we’re not losing the only store in town now.

They live up to their name. Decent prices but boy oh boy does the customer service lack. Talk about one register and a mile of customers. Other employees would see this and continue going about their day. This has happened multiple times. Great potential though

Opportunity is the cleanliness of the bathrooms, could use a serious detail. However I rank this place 4 stars because of the employees. They were very helpful and friendly. I encountered two employees there during my visit and they both went above and beyond my expectations. All employees observed were diligently working on something and took pride in their work. The work ethics were very refreshing. Prices were competitive and selection per category was ok. Good place for last minute shopping.

I certainly give this store 5 stars for their great customer services. You can always find a employee working on the floor ready to help! Like Daruis he helped me look for what I needed with out any problems! The cashiers are all friendly and fast working and its a nice place to sit from out the cold waiting on your bus or ride to approach.

They don’t enforce the use of masks. I walked past about 3 shoppers with NO MASK and 2 employees with their masks down! I walked right out of there! No thanks!

Dear Mr McMullen,I am writing to inform you of what was a very unpleasant customer experience at your Food 4 Less store, located in Chicago Heights, IL on Western Ave.Let me preface this by indicating that I am a long-time Kroger, and Kroger family shopper. My overall experience had been a fulfilling one, but that all changed on Wednesday September 25 at approximately 1pm when a went into your Food 4 Less store to pick up a few items. I had three items in my basket when I got to the aisle 2 checkout line, which had approximately 8 other customers. The cashier looked at the length of the line we were standing in, and informed us that aisle 15 was open, even though the aisle 15 light was off.As instructed, I walked to aisle 15 which already had one customer being waited on. When it was my turn to be checked out by the cashier in aisles 15, she informed me that she was closed. I let her know the cashier in aisle 2 sent me down because her line was too long. She asked me to wait, walked to where the store manager was and returned. Bryan, who never introduced himself, informed me that aisle 15 was closed, and I would have to go to another line. There was only one other line, and self-check out open and available. I told Bryan that I was instructed by the first cashier to come to this aisle, and his reply was, “I don’t care what you were told, this line is closed”I find the type of response to a customer not only rude, but also not meeting the core values of your organization, namely respect of others and integrity.Disappointed, disrespected and devalued as a customer is why I left my grocery items and will no longer shop in a Kroger brand store27 September 2019Rodney McMullenCEO, Kroger1014 Vine StreetCincinnati, OH 45202

If you say you close at 8pm then close at !!! 8pm DO NOT deny customers at 7:30pm...ESPECIALLY during a time such as this when people are in need of essentials. I will be doing a survey as well on your location. #frustrated

Employees are friendly, and willing to help if you need it. Fruit and veggie section is clean, organized and has great selection. Plus, I love that gluten free items have been expanded, given more options to those of us that cant do gluten.

I have never had a problem finding everything I need at this store. It has a wide variety of fresh produce and meat. Plus most anything else you may need. Its clean and well maintained.

Always has good sales and mostly well stocked. Lines were kind of crazy, why do stores build 20 registers anymore? Employees are generally nice, & most Kroger brand food products are really good and cheapish.

We like shopping at Food 4 Less. Very good selection of food items and the wide isles are a plus. The times Ive shopped there I found the staff pleasant and helpful. Keep up the good work Food 4 Less Chicago Heights.

Excellent prepared gourmet foods along with good grocery selections. They make very good smoothies with any type of protein/vitamin you may want. You can get it without of course. Products are priced higher than most.

Service was very friendly and she really knew her job, she got the whole order correct and stopped by the table several times to check on us. Food was perfect. It was very crowded but we didnt have to wait long. Very good expierence.

Great deals, clean easy to navigate. They dont carry a huge variety of each item, but enough to fill your pantry at great savings. App and online coupons too. Checkout pretty quick, cashiers always pleasant.

Lets start with the name of the store. Its a terrific name that draws people in. The prices are competitive with fresh meats, seafood and produce. One thing that would make this a five star store, if they could open one in Richton Park. We desperately need a store.

The produce and meat section in this store are a little iffy... they are not too expensive however, who knows if they are filled with GMO and cancer causing substances....

Parking lot well lighted. Clean restrooms. Isles where not filled with clutter. Store was well organized. Stock personnel were friendly when I approached him with a question, sorry I didnt check for his name. Keep up the great service👍👍

They’re a great local grocery store to visit when you need something quickly and don’t feel like going to Walmart. Their prices are cheap but not too cheap, and for the most part you can trust the quality of the food you get from them. The store itself is usually clean and neat whenever I visit and the employees are polite and helpful.

Was there in the evening the lines are seriously long. 2 registers open and check out was full. I cant do a cart full in the self checkout. They secretly opened one up after 20 mins waiting in line. People waiting in line for 5 mins get to check out almost instantly.Other than that, everything was awesome. Clean, organized and stocked. Goos deals

I shop Meijer regularly as its on my way to & from work (even though F4L is geographically closer to my home). Up until today, I would do whatever shopping I could at F4L because the prices were lower. Not anymore! Not only would I have saved a few bucks at Meijer today, the store is cleaner & the aisles are wider. On second thought, maybe the aisles arent wider, maybe its the size of F4Ls shopping carts. Those things are ridiculously, inconveniently enormous (psst you arent a warehouse club). At any rate, going forward Ill stick to Meijer.

Love their meat department...they will season and seal your fresh seafood. Then just pop in the oven once home. Makes dinner time easy enough!

We have a business that requires milk every week. We call to order the amount required by the program we use but they haven’t given us a full order in months. My most recent visit they said they were going to refuse our purchases because we didn’t order them. Would not recommend shopping here for business purposes.

Well organized, easy to maneuver quickly late night. Plenty of fresh fruits and veggies to choose from, as well as decent liquor section for late night runs. Plenty of free parking, registers, and self check out registers.

Food 4 Less does not have a wide variety of different foods. They are over priced and try to stay ahead of the game by charging low income people high prices. They know theyre the most convenient grocery store in the area since Ultra Food Store had closed, they are not competitive. If I had a car, I wouldnt even shop there. They are not for the people that they serve.

I was at the store shopping after I put my 3 sick kids to bed. I had a cart full of food. At 3 minutes to close, an associate asked me to leave the store. First words anyone said to me. I had to make a special request to pay for and take my $80 purchase with me. They treated me like garbage.

Had a taste for some tacos today. Went to pick up the things I needed to make my tacos. Store was not crowded. So I was in and out.

The store was clean, but busy because of the Thanksgiving holiday coming in a couple of days. They had a good number of lanes open too. The staff was also friendly.

Overall, I like shopping at Food for Less and Ive been shopping there for a few years. The only thing I dont like is there are products that they dont carry that is common for the Chicagoland area. Otherwise, its nice and their prices are pretty good.

Customer Service is top priority in retail. Regardless of how well or poorly products are being sold or stocked neatly and keeping them fresh, how they treat customers is just not tolerable and makes the entire experience not worth visiting.

Great store to shop at, but need to open more lanes, most of the time the lines are very long and need more people working the deli, 1-2 people isnt enough when you have 10 or more customers waiting.

It was good. I wish you would sale rack of lamb and fresh tuns steaks. You all had frabic softener on sale but ran out. I got a raincheck but you had plenty of washing detergent that was on sale.

Its a very large store with a good variety of items.Its also clean, with a nice oversized parking lot, so its easy to find a spot.It has a self checkout area, so you can be in, and out, without uttering a single word.

Ive been here 4 different time and found something expired ok once im home putting away groceries. My husband is in the hospital now because i didnt know the lunch meat was 3 months old that a bought yesterday. B4 that the yogurts that were on sale (i wonder why) expired in July and it was november. How are u stocking groceries and not checking the dates. I was on hold almost an hr and i kept getting sent to be bakery....
