An Orange Moon is an absolute gem, Lynne is extremely responsive and has an incredible selection of art, furniture, and accessories in her store. I brought these beauties home with me when I stopped by last week:

I just bought some of the most happy vintage pans I’ve ever seen at this store. The owner, Lynne, was super helpful and kind. The store had some really great Mid Century Modern pieces as well as a lot of great art work.

You know when you see something and you can’t stop thinking about it? That happened to me with a piece that I ended up purchasing from An Orange Moon. I caught a glimpse of the artwork piece in the corner of a post on Instagram. And then spent all night and the next day thinking about it and doing the proverbial should I, shouldn’t I, do I need it dance in my head. Turns out I did need it. I messaged An Orange Moon and they were able to help me track down the piece and had it ready to pick up the next day. Everything was so easy, the shop owners were so quick to respond and send me a few images of other pieces until we found the one I was looking for. I highly suggest giving the shop a look. I know I’ll be back in the future.

I had a wonderful experience at An Orange Moon. They are taking appointments (due to COVID) -- just text them to set one up! The owner was very personable and walked us through all the details she had put into the beautifully reupholstered couch we purchased. They also have a delivery service who they have worked with for many years.

Really enjoyed my experience! Came in for a art sale and literally wanted to buy the entire store. Lynne is very helpful and allowed me to get my artwork delivered quickly. I will be back again to purchase more items.

Had a wonderful experience with purchasing a beautiful classroom map from An Orange Moon. The owner was very sweet and did the whole transaction via zelle. I came and picked it up and she was just as nice in person. She was very professional about the Covid stuff too which I really appreciate. The map is just what I wanted and I can’t wait to shop again.

I love this place! I was looking for an authentic vintage piece for my living room and found a gorgeous mid century bar at An Orange Moon. The owners, Lynne and Ty, are extremely knowledgeable and let me know how to care for the piece. They even offered to hand deliver the bar to my home, which I accepted. Overall, this is a great place to check periodically as things sell quickly and new items come in. It has very unique furniture and decor that you will not find anywhere else in the city. Lynne and Ty are warm, friendly and lively part of the community. I stop into the store from time to time just to say hi to the owners. An Orange Moon is a gem in a community that simply adores them.

Seriously awesome service and product! very honest, and on time if not earlier than expected, I got my living room furniture from them, the owner is really attentive and very nice, even tho its online store the costumer service is amazing!

Lynn was so sweet and allowed me to pay in advance to secure two gorgeous David Weidman prints for pickup. This shop is a neighborhood treasure with a great online presence.

Lynne and Ty were wonderful to work with - friendly, respectful and so helpful. I had a vintage danish modern chair to sell, and had contacted a few stores in the Chicago and Minneapolis area. Lynne and Ty were the clear winners - honestly assessing the worth of what i had, and giving me their expert advice on pricing. My lovely vintage chair sold in a couple months - and it make me so happy to know it went to another person who loves danish modern. I will happily collaborate with Lynne and Ty again - and look forward to my next visit to Chicago to see what new treasures theyve found.

The owners, Ty and Lynne, are experts on MCM furniture and both have a wonderful eye for interior design. The negative nonsense on here strikes me as pious whining rather than anything substantive. Yes, you should know better than to sit on things that are sold, and no, a secondhand dealer doesnt need to tell you how much sold items sold for, because (1) stuff like this is one-of-a-kind so therefore not directly comparable item-to-item; and (2) you can look at the prices of stuff that isnt sold to get a sense for what you might have to pay.I bought several items here and was treated very warmly and fairly by Lynne, including reasonable negotiations in price. Ill be back.

I live in Colorado and had contacted Ty & Lynn for a Weslie Willis piece. They had only 2 available. Lynn was flexible and patient with me regarding payments. They are so lovely and always seem so happy every time we spoke on the phone. :-) my boyfriend has been searching for a piece of Weslie Willis art for over 8 years. I had him pick up the parcel from the greyhound. He was speechless when he opened the parcel. Had a ton of questions for me. Haha. Thank you Lynn and Ty for this amazing piece of art. I truly appreciate you guys! If I am ever in Chicago, I would love to thank you and hug you in person. :-)

Picked up exactly the kind of mid century modern table we wanted, great condition, friendly and helpful

I had a disappointing experience at An Orange Moon yesterday. I initially walked in and was impressed with their collection. The owner was chatting with a couple people at the counter and didnt acknowledge me, which was fine, however when I sat on a sofa that was labeled as sold, yet accessible with no indicator to not sit on it she said Thats sold, I said I know, I just wanted to see what it felt like and she responded Nuh, huh, you know better with attitude and turned back to the two people she was talking to. I promptly left, stunned at being treated that rudely. I was dressed pretty casually so am left wondering if there were assumptions made about my buying power based on how I was dressed. This was in stark contrast to my experience down the street at the new North Avenue Collective (Strangelovely and Hopscotch & Soda) and Richards Fabulous Finds, where those owners were welcoming and inviting and who both had great collections that I purchased from.

Owners, Ty and Lynne McDaniel are experts on luxury vintage and mid- century modern home furnishings. Their collection of authentic furniture, home decor, and art is to die for. Im still drooling....

Tried to visit during regular business hours. A handwritten apology note was on the door and the store was closed. Not so awesome, given that we drove many miles to visit.
