Good customer service and initial good work. However, over the span of a few months my paint began to chip and peel. As much as I wanted to go back I moved. Although, I am back in Chicago and hope they can rekindle my customer loyalty by fixing this!

I came to use this body shop through State Farms select service. I am not satisfied with the overall service of this shop. Be aware of this shops review on yelp and google.First, the repair was not completed according to the schedule. I understand a supply chain issue was caused by COVID, but the work did not meet the promised schedule.Second, and above all, the repairs were not done properly. In the first estimation, it was scheduled for door replacement, partial frame repair, and wheel and tire replacement. However, the door was changed to be repaired because no replacement parts were available, and even this was not repaired properly, resulting in a step between the door and the fender. In addition, the wheels and tires that were to be replaced were not properly included in the first quotation, so I requested an additional quote. I don’t know that the new rim had been damaged during the repair or even that it was not a new rim, so I had to request replacement again.After filing a complaint through the insurance company, we decided to replace the door completely, and install a new rim.However, the newly arrived rim was also damaged. The rim was manufactured in 2017 and was covered with spider webs. The shop said it has just arrived from the dealer, but there was so much dirt and damage that I couldnt believe that it was a new wheel, so I requested a new wheel again and am waiting for it.Third, there was damage to other parts of the vehicle during the repair. Separate from the accident, there was a scratch on the interior of the vehicle while the repair was in progress. Currently, we are still talking with the body shop about this part.Fourth, it is very difficult to talk to the person in charge. I tried to talk to the person in charge several times about the above issues, and left messages for a callback, however, I did not receive one, so I was able to solve the problem only by requesting a call through the state farm agent.Fifth, overspray damage occurred to the window and body due to improper masking.The above issues have not been fully repaired yet, so Im still talking to the state farm.The only satisfactory part of this body shop is that the color of the paint is matched to the original color.

I called saying my prius sounded like a motorcycle - dude working on the phone correctly identified the problem in that someone stole my catalytic converter, but then he told me it could catch my car on fire if I drive without it (it will not), told me it would cost around $1500 to get a new one (it will only cost around $200), and then offered to buy it off of me personally! Not on behalf of autohaus, but personally. In hindsight it was such a predatory experience, if his coworkers are who taught him how ot handle customers, then they are all snakes.

So when a car hit me i immediately told my insurance that i wanted my VW fixed at Chicago Autohaus as i have used them before. A shop that is NOT on my insurance but i liked their work and professionalism regardless.FRANCISCO + VICTORIA are AMAZING! Very personable, they remembered me from over a year ago and they kept in touch with me throughout the process. ! I hope to not get into a car accident again, but if i do i will 100% go to them.

My sons vehicle needed some repairs after an accident. The insurance company listed Chicago Autohaus as one of the locations. Everyone I came in contact with and communicated with were very professional, friendly and helpful. I had an issue with rental car place and the young lady working the Hertz car rental place was more than happy to help fix the issue and get me a rental car with her instead of having to travel to another location. The young lady at the front desk also assisted with contacting the insurance company for me and straightening things out. The car was repaired in a decent amount of time. The vehicle doesnt look like there was any damage. Job well done. Thank you for everything.

I had recently taken my car in to be repaired after I was rear-ended. The damage was pretty significant, but my guys at Chicago Autohaus returned my car looking better than ever.Fast forward a month or so, after realizing my tail lights were not working I figured it might be a fuse or connection issue since I had rear tail work done. When I brought my car to the Toyota dealer, they were trying to charge me $170+ just to diagnose why the lights werent working when the head lights were turned on. I said hail no, and called Chicago Autohaus to explain the situation. They asked that I bring it in whenever was best for me and theyd check it free of charge. Literally 10 minutes into the homie Francisco checking, he found that the bulbs were just out... plain and simple. I didnt have cash on me but obviously was ready to put my card down to pay for the new bulbs and for the OG - Francisco taking time at the end of his day to check it out.He said dont worry about it, if I was in the area with $20 in the future, I could drop it off for the service. Safe to say theres no other spot Ill go to get body work or really anything car related done in Chicago. Thanks again yall!

Im so glad I was referred to this place by insurance. They a did a great job in repairing my car and their prices were reasonable. It was just a scratch on the passenger front and rear doors. When I still had not heard from Autohaus by Monday, I called and was told it should be ready that day. Being completed at 4:30PM, I was essentially only given an hour to pick up the car as they closed at 5:30PM which meant I received the car on Tuesday, one full week after dropping it off.Several years ago I needed major repairs that required door and rim replacement and not only did the shop communicate throughout the process (still waiting for door, going in for paint, etc) but they also made all of the repairs in the same amount of time. The quality of work was comparable.If you want a nice facility and to be greeted by a lovely receptionist, you should bring your car to Autohaus. If you want good communication and your car back quick go to Car Star on Grand and Kedzie.UPDATE: Im assuming the text I received the day after I posted my review with no words and only pictures of an invoice are meant to prove parts were required, which is ridiculous cause it was literally a side swipe. However, the text only reaffirms a lack of communication as nothing was actually said in the text. Up to you who where you take your vehicle. I will not be returning.

The receptionist was very nice and found answers for me immediately. They were able to take my car in the same day I had my accident and were helpful with options of renting a car since my insurance didnt cover car rental. They communicated well with me how long it would take to get my vehicle done and didnt sugar coat. Id recommend and use them again.

Got my brakes and rotors done. Great work and fast!Came back for some engine over heating issues. They worked with my after market warranty company. Came and towed my car off the highway and took it to their shop and got me rolling. No headaches they handled all the details. And i just paid a 100$ deductible on a 800$ job!

I brought my car in for service. Everyone is very respectful and understanding to your situation. They explained everything to me in good detail. The receptionists are outstanding. They offered to get me an uber home so I wouldnt have to pay. And the place itself is super clean. And I mean clean. Its not like other places Ive been too where they got old ripped up couches and dirty floors and so fourth. They got some big screen TVs I mean this place is lit. I highly recommend going here. Trust me you wont be disappointed. Its definitely my permanent spot from now on.

After having two collision related accidents withing the span of a month, you need some helpful shoulders to rest on, and Chicago Autohaus definitely has that and more. I have gotten service from them twice now, and am delighted with their work. My second hit was a bit more devastating and, required more work, so the only thing keeping this rating at a 4 was a small lack in communication. Regardless, in the end, they were able to work with me with issues I had with my insurance, and ensured I got my car back as soon as possible. After almost a month of driving it and testing it for anything out of the norm, I am satisfied with how my vehicle runs and looks. The staff at Chicago Autohaus are very understanding with you and proficient in their work. If I ever result in distress again, I know I can count on them for car repairs!

I do not suggest this place for any mechanical work. I asked that they fix a coolant leak in my car. They claimed they fixed the leak, pressure tested the system, and there was no longer a leak. Less than a 100 miles later the coolant low sensor went off. When I tried to open the hood I realized that they also broke off the hood lever so that I had to fish for the internal wire to get the hood open. Had to call multiple times to try to get the car fixed. They told us multiple times it was a high priority and that the manager would be in touch, but received no calls after the car went into the shop. After multiple calls from my end they told me that the coolant system had a different issue and that we would have to pay more. Terrible customer service and money down the toilet for an issue they knew nothing about and had to rely on the ford dealer for information. Also had a couple items that “went missing” from the car.

Francisco was the best went over and beyond to make sure I was a happy customer a+. In my book customer service rep gave 100 percent

My Volkswagen Golf Wagon needed a rear end job. I took it to Gold Coast Auto and Chicago Autohaus both for quotes. Autohaus was less than 50% of the price! They did a fantastic job. I vowed I would never go anyplace again. Fast forward: I needed a non-standard weld on a non-automotive piece of equipment. Quick but difficult job. Sidney said bring it in. They turned it around quickly, and its better than new. And at the right price! Cant say enough about Sidney and his team.

Getting into an accident and having a difficult situation happen with a scammer was horrible, but coming to Chicago Autohaus and working with some really great people made it better. CHICAGO Autohaus is an A++ Autobody shop. They took me froma-z after my car accident. Ive never been in an accident before and had know clue what to do. Thanks to the staff their I felt SAFE! Aside from the great, efficient, and friendly service, my 09 Range Rover looks showroom new again. They even detailed it after the service was complete. Ive been back a few times for minor repairs and have yet to be disappointed. I highly recommend if youre looking for an honest friendly repair shop.

The winter season finally came. I was hoping not to see any snow this year, as we know thats impossible in Chicago. I was driving down Diversey home from work in my Audi S5, some light snow, wasnt even that bad out. Some guy hit me from behind. Shook me up real good. Find out, its one of these guys in the United States illegally, no insurance, no drivers license, guys got nothing! So I told him to get lost cause I knew I was screwed and Im stuck with the repair. Came here for bumper repair from a hit and run. They did a great job repairing my Elantra and it looks like nothing ever happened. Was originally told Id be without a car for 3 days but they were able to turn it around in 24 hours. Very happy and will be back if I ever need body work done.

Chicago Autohaus does amazing work at a great price. I needed to get a dent fixed on my car door. I had previously gone to someone else who screwed it up even more. Then I came across Chicago Autohaus based on the google reviews. I was nervous since the dent would have required the entire door to be painted. However, the paint job was a perfect match and the dent was completely gone. It looked brand new. On top of that, it was significantly less expensive than the other estimates that I received.Overall, Chicago Autohaus does work in a timely manner at a reasonable price.

Just purchased a Porsche 911 Turbo from Greater Chicago Motors last week. I had the car sent over here which is owned by the same owner so I can have my wheels done in Black to match the car. I took my car here so that they could fix my door. I came in thinking it was a great place judging by the reviews, which now I think are written by there friends. Anyway i got a quote from Sydney on the repairs, and told him I would think about it and let him know. I decided to go through insurance, so I told him and he automatically told me to give the insurance quote to them which was more than they quoted me, and he told me he was going to go with the insurance quote. Obviously from a body shop perspective they would do that to make more money, which was fine bc I just wanted my car fixed. So i dropped my car off and they told me the car would be ready the following Monday, and that they would update me. Monday came and they never called, so I called Sydney and he told me that the car was not going to be ready until tomorrow, which was fine as long as they did a good job. So i waited the next day, still never got a call, so i called again, and he told me it would be ready the following week. So again i waited and finally he told me the car was ready, so I told him I would be there in the next hour. When I got there, he told me that the mechanic was putting the last door trim on! Why would he even call me and tell me it was ready, if he still had to put a piece on??! I really needed my car at that point so I asked if I could see the car and bring it back tommorow to have the trim put on. When I saw the car I was shocked the paint on the door had bubbles on it, and was uneven, the door edges had scratches, I pointed this out and Sydney told me that the car was involved in an accident and it would never look perfect! OH PLEASE, the car was damaged by a rock and it was a small dent, so I told them i would leave the car here and that they would have to redo the paint when I come to pick it up next. Long story Short I ended up getting my car back after 3 1/2 weeks for small dent on my door and rocker panel, even though I was told originally it would be a week. When i finally picked up my car there were scratches under the bumper, on the trunk, my aux cover was missing from my car which I later found under my seat.. . I really did not expect this from a shop who claimed to be “professional”. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP. ITS NOT WORTH IT, IT MAY LOOK NICE AND PROFESSIONAL,BUT TRUST ME ALL THE RUNAROUNDS THESE GUYS GAVE ME, AND THE FACT THAT WHEN I GOT MY CAR BACK, I GOT IT BACK WITH SCRATCHES THAT WERE NEVER THERE. WORST SHOP IN CHICAGO!!I also tried contacting the owner and he never replied to me. This place is a joke!

Weve used Chicago Autohaus twice and cant say enough about the friendly and knowledgable crew. They went over the top to make sure that we were satisfied with their work, in one instance even absorbing the cost of a repair that wasnt covered by our insurance. My rear bumper needed work from all the damage I incurred parking in Chicago. I had an appointment set up right away by Chicago Autohaus and within 24 hours of dropping my car off it was ready. My bumper came out brand new. Keep up the good work!

I dont often write reviews of businesses, but I have to say that dealing with Chicago Autohaus has been a great experience. They deserve to have a shou t out. Their shop is clean, the staff is extremely courteous, and their work is meticulous. After I was rear-ended at the airport, these guys have tak en care of every detail of dealing with the insurance company and getting my car back in shape. Its not often you hear praise for auto shops, but this place really deserves its great reputation!

Chicago Autohaus hooked me up! This place is the best! Had two flat tires last year from Chicago pot holes and when a tow truck didnt fit into my parking garage - they came out and changed the two flat tires at my place! A+ Service and A+ workers! Ive been using them for my oil changes and regular maintenance since with no issues! Right now they are fixing my bumper which was damaged from an accident and I am sure they will do an excellent job on that too! Thank you Chicago AutoHaus!

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Do NOT use this repair shop. I brought my car here following an accident on May 1, 2019 - all approved by insurance. Its been a nightmare. Six weeks later, my car is STILL not fixed properly and as of today (6/11) its at a new repair shop. Theyve had excuse after excuse for the ongoing issues. Save yourself the headache and hassle and go somewhere else. I will be reporting them to the BBB as well.
