The bagels are solid and this is a good place for an affordable breakfast on the go. There is a great selection of bagels, cream cheese flavors, and sandwiches. However, the coffee isn’t great and after a couple visits with subpar coffee, I’ve learned to pick up a bagel and get coffee somewhere else or make it at home. With that in mind, service is quick and prices are very reasonable.
I had a pretty typical order here at Great American Bagel - everything with veggie schmear. The bagel was just okay, in my opinion. I thought it was a bit too dense and did not taste particularly fresh. It wasnt bad, but Im a big fan of an airy, loose NY style bagel with a nice even and crisp crust to it. This had neither of those things. Id recommend getting a sandwich or trying another menu item, other than just a bagel.
So happy I found this place! It’s open early, so I stop by before work to get some breakfast. Bagels are great and there’s a nice various selection to choose from! Cinnamon crunch has been my favorite so far. The service is great as well, all the ladies have been extremely kind and they work hard. It’s a lovely experience here each time for me, I would recommend it!
Matt is the laziest person in this place. Havent tasted the food but had to leave a review ASAP. Let this kid go or pay him $5 an hour, hes not worth even that much.
They microwave their fresh bagels... I kind of cant believe it. A chewy bagel. Im sure I wouldve loved it if it were toasted...

Got myself a DELICIOUS breakfast bagel, staff were kind, talkative and friendly. Huge selection on the menu and if it was closer to me I’d go daily. Will be going back whenever in the area.
This is a reliable choice when you are looking for a solid bagel. They have a nice selection as well as different cream cheeses. The sandwiches are filling considering the price it is a good deal. Pictured is the California Turkey sandwich which has cucumber cream cheese, very tasty. But to be honest, Panera bagels are better. Four stars because the tables always have crumbs on them every time I go in there I have to wipe off the table myself.

Id highly recommend this place for fresh bread, fresh bagels handmade, and really good sandwiches. This place also makes a variety of their own cream cheeses. Its not very expensive but definitely more than what you would normally pay for bagels, cream cheese, and a few other items, but worth it.

I absolutely love this company for starters and this location is great, always great service and great staff. I’m a former employee of the O’Hare location and their 🥯 sandwiches are awesome and the chili is good too, not good as Wendy’s but still good. I make @ least one visit at this location a month...
Yum, yum, yum do I love me some steak and Harris has the best Ive had in the city. I had the filet mignon with seared foie gras and it was divine. The service is impeccable, the ambiance is nice and relaxed and the to top it all off they have a great dessert menu that completes the perfect meal. I would go here everyday if I could afford it.

Solid bagel spot in west loop. The service is always great and they have fresh bagels all day. Their product tastes good and it is affordable in comparison to every other place in the area.

Bagels are good. Staff is super friendly, but the menu can be overwhelming. Lots of choices here, but I would stick with the bagels. Opens early so its a great start to your morning, and its one of the more affordable restaurants in the Madison/Randolph area.

This place takes forever with orders. The employees move like they’re in a stop motion movie and behave like they’re in a Harold and Kumar film. The coffee is cold and the bagels are stale. For $6 I’d rather drink instant and a piece of white bread

Food is good, but the service is not. Every time i have eaten here (4 times) i have either had to tell them my order multiple times or they have gotten it very wrong. Sometimes both. Attention spans seem to be a bit short.

They dont have salt bagels and they pulled a precooked egg out for my BEC. I had a coupon for buy 3 get 3. I crumpled it up and ate my sandwich. It actually wasnt too bad.
Its great for breakfast and lunch. Dinner not so much unless you love a sandwich for dinner. I love the Jalapeño Bagel...soft and savory....so good! Great coffee selection! Nice clean bathrooms, awesome staff - lots of choices. If you know what you like, its for you; if youre undecisive, may be a bit much for you. Enjoy!
Great staff and great options but last time I went the bagel area was loaded with flies crawling all over bagels (which were them being sold to customers).

Nice fresh Bagels even had to bring a garlic one home for my girlfriend they were so nice and fresh little bit confusion on the ring up watch the guy and make sure you tell him what you ordered clearly but other than that great service

The bagels are awesome. Good selection and freshness. But everything is rather pricey.And avoid the lox sandwich. The salmon was half bad. The pieces were discolored and covered with sinewy gristle.
I had the chicken pesto panni and let me just say...YUM! Clean, good customer service, decent prices.
