Ive been working on my own bikes for maybe 15 years; Ive built bikes, repaired/overhauled bike for myself and my friends. But I was kind of busy so I took a bike in here to get some work done. And the difference between the work they did and the work Ive done is just like night and day. I didnt realize my bike could run so well...I highly recommend this place.

I have an old Dawes road bike that I inherited from my son. Danny did a complete tuneup. I was blown away after the first ride. For the first time in years I could engage every gear (21) flawlessly, stop in 1/3 the distance with 1/3 the braking pressure. And, the wheels spin straight and true. I dont know exactly what Danny did, but I now have a brand new Dawes! Thank you Danny!! See you next year.

Came in for drive train issue I been having for a while. Initially expected to upgrade my crankset and also needed a front rim machined for a front brake. Daniel the mechanic explained to me my front rim is ready for a front brake and it wouldnt be necessary, he explained that my rim is anodized and is made to accept a front brake. I also asked if I needed to buy a new crankset, he explained the issues were chain related and saved me lots of money. A new chain, and a brake installation in 30 min! Daniel wont let you just throw money at him. Profound integrity and tells you what you need and didnt take advantage of my desperation to get back on the road unhindered.

I was cycling from DC to PDX and needed some quick repairs and component swap outs over the weekend.Danny put me at the top of the queue and kept me posted on progress.He was super friendly, was super competent and super affordable.Just wish he wain my neighborhood back home!

Walked in, fixed and tuned up my vintage bike like it was brand new! Had it up and running in only about 3-4 days and the prices were very honest and fair. Would recommend!

I can do most bike maintenance myself but I cant fix a broken spoke, Danny was able to fix it in a half an hour. Four other bike shops were going to take two to four days.

Bring cash - they have great prices and selection and they are nice and friendly. (They dont take debit cards maybe they will in the future) my bicycle tire popped while delivering for uber & they helped fix my tire 2 hours after it happened. Better then waiting 5 weeks for tire tubes the same price from ebay. Thanks DS.

I left my front bicycle wheel behind in the park while putting my bike in the trunk of my truck. It was an old, cheap bike, so I decided to buy a new one. However, I found DS Bicycles while looking for the closest bike shop. They had a great selection of reasonably-priced bike parts. I randomly found DS bikes when looking for a place in the area to repair an old Schwinn that had been languishing in a friends basement for years. These folks (Thanks Danny!) managed to bring it back to life- not only are they experts in repairing old bikes (at really reasonable prices too), but theyre clearly incredibly passionate about what theyre doing and customer service as well. Really friendly, patient in describing what needs to be done to someone who knows nothing about bikes, and wanting to make sure customers are happy with the repairs. I absolutely recommend them and will be back (though may not need to for a while as the Schwinn has a new life ;) Thank you!

It’s was good service but when i asked to replace a fork the crown race was missing and the headset was rubbing against the fork. very disappointed that a bike shop can’t do simple things

I also shared a great experience with the owner at this location. I brought my bike in and needed a simple fix and was expecting to be charged the norm $50-$75... Instead he fixed it right in front of me, even added air in the tires and wanted to charge me nothing. I gave him $20 as a tip.To have someone who is not out to rip you off but to actually help is rare. He has 5 stars for a reason.I am going to be bringing in 2 bikes for tune ups. I trust this place 100%.

Great Place! Shop of the people.. Highly recommend. Usually talk to Danny, and he is a great dude. Fair prices, don’t take your bike anywhere else. Danny and Steve are the guys you want working on your bike.

After spending a lot of money trying to have my bike tuned up at another bike shop in the neighborhood and had experienced a very poor customer service besides not having my bike fixed at all, even after going back there just to hear them saying that I had to buy another wheel, I decided to buy a brand new bike but, before doing this extreme move, fortunately I found this shop and told the owner Danny what was the problem with my bike and he took my bike for a quick inspection. After a few adjustments (he asked me to ride it after the adjustments to make sure it was OK) he fixed it and my bike now runs like new. He not only did a great job but didnt want to charge me anything what I, of course couldnt accept, after all he worked and got his hands dirty and did the work that the guys on the other bike shop should have done. While I was waiting inside the shop Dani was working on my bike and testing the wheel to make sure it was completely aligned, he did change the axle what should have be done when I spent all the money on the other bike shop. He also had to tighten a few screws that were not done by the other bike shop. My intent with this review is not to focus on the poor service received from the other bike shop (even though I mentioned them a few times) but to alert the community that we have this very professional and honest guy working by himself and offering a great and reliable service to the community.

So helpful. Both people working there helped me right away for an $11 purchase. That never happens. At bike shops, people are uncommonly surly. Not this place. They didnt know me at all and treated me like I was their most important customer. I will definitely be back.

This review will be rather blunt. This place will make you never want to go to another shop anywhere. Most shops are in it for the money and this shop is one of VERY FEW in it for the passion. I LOVE this shop. The guys are knowledgeable and patient. I asked a lot of questions and tried a lot of bikes. The prices are reasonable, especially when you factor in that theyll set up a bike however youd like, included in the price. For me they changed the bars and grips before I even agreed to buy it, so that I could try it out exactly how Id like it to be set up. Of course once they made the changes it was perfect and I bought it immediately. Im so excited for my new bike and a dependable bike shop!

Purchased a bike for my son today...these guys are very knowledgeable and cool as hell. The price points are steeper than I would like (personally) BUT I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for and as a business owner I respect price points. Just heard about this place through the local bike grapevine. I broke a spoke today, which made the back wheel start rubbing. I really wanted to ride to work the rest of the week, and Dan made it happen. Super cheap, super fast, super friendly. Boom: now I got a Bike Guy.Update: just came back here to look for a used bike for my 11-year-old son. Again, friendly and knowledgeable service, and I walked out (and my son rode out) with a Trek bike in great condition for about a third of what it would have cost new.
