Had a great experience at Turin yesterday. I needed to replace my hybrid for a road bike so that I have a fighting chance at keeping up with the hubs. Eli was friendly, knowledgeable and didnt even bat an eye when I wanted to test the clipless pedals he recommended. Their inventory looked a bit small but it must be well curated because they had a bike in my size that felt great on my test ride. Thanks, Eli and team!

I shipped my carbon fiber bike from Boston to Chicago and a cable guide broke in transit. I checked with close to twenty shops from Lincoln park to Evanston trying to find a shop that would attempt a repair on a carbon fiber frame. Turin fixed it and it’s as good as new. This will not always be the case since carbon fiber is difficult to repair and most times impossible. Turin is a great shop with great technicians and I wish I could give six stars.

I took one of my bicycles there for the first time. It was an inner tube change. They fixed it within one half hour. They were friendly and gave me a few general tips about other bike issues. And they were priced reasonably. I will use them again.Pat, in Lincoln Square, in Chicago

They are really nice here will listen to what’s going on and actually help. I had brought my tricycle to “uptown bikes” paid 170$ for a assembly everything came back loose and fell apart and some things broke because uptown bikes did a bad job and I paid them 170$ being that is they we’re closeted to my location. I highly recommend turin bikes they fixed up good what uptown bikes couldnt provide. I will be telling everyone I know about turin bikes they are a nice neighborhoodly bikes shop 6 stars.

I recently brought my bike here for a tune up but Ive been coming here for all kinds of services in the past. Theyre always fast, knowledgeable, and recommend you realistic solutions (i.e. not buy a new bike). The store itself is clean and well organized. Always a treat coming here!

These guys are great!I recently moved to the neighborhood and rediscovered my bike. Turin has made me hopping back on the bike effortless! Numerous times Ive stopped in because Ive had a flat, my brakes were clamping, and to discuss a tune up. They are very patient with my novice questions and happy to help me understand. They explain my bike problems with words I understand and have also suggested local biking groups!Thank you Johnathon, Renee, and everyone else for always providing a positive, fun, and informational visit :) I always look forward to returning! Great local bike shop!

They repaired my flat tire in less than 15 min for $10 for labor plus $5.99 + tax for the tire tube. You could save $5 on labor if you bring only the flat wheel. I dont know anything about bikes so I had to hand over the entire bike and pay a tad more to have them remove and reattached the wheel. Sure I didnt get any warm welcome or smiles when I walked in, but it aint a 5 star hotel. I appreciate the quick and reasonablely priced service and parts. If I get another flat ... Id come back here for help.

I went today to get a kids bike fixed. One of the worker was very rude and had bad altitud. I was very upset, but John was good at handling the situation well. Thanks John

Turin has been taking care of me and my bike for almost a decade. Needing repairs is never fun, but it has become a pleasure to have a reason to stop in and see the crew. Excellent service, fair prices, and a nifty atmosphere in the sleepy Damen area. Plus, you can easily grab a cup of coffee at Perfect Cup while you wait. What could be better??!

The people are nice and informative. But the stores policy of making you wait outside and only letting one or two people in the store is ridiculous. I just wanted to stop by and buy a tube so I can ride to work tomorrow. But the wait was so long I had to hop on the bus or I would be late. Be prepared to wait if u go here

I ride a very basic/cheap single speed bike, but despite not being a hardcore bicyclist, I think the staff is always really welcoming and approachable. They always do a great job of explaining the work and whats involved whenever I need a repair. Theyve been a great help whenever Ive gone in to buy accessories and other gear as well

This is my favorite shop in the city. The entire staff is super friendly and respectful, and they do a great job. I have never felt uncomfortable or talked down to, which is a rarity as a female cyclist. Jon, the manager, is very thorough, responsive and just a cool dude in general. Cannot recommend enough. Dont get intimidated by the Italian name and fancy racing bikes in the window, this shop is for everyone.

A welcome addition to the neighborhood. Very quick, attentive service by a knowledgeable, friendly staff. They fixed a flat, installed a new kick stand, found me a helmet that fit my huge head all in around 10 minutes. They did a great job. Really great bike shop. I came here because I wanted to learn more about bicycles, and Chris, the proprietor of the shop was immensely helpful in helping me figure out what kind of bike Id need for my frame, and for the wrist pain o generally have whole riding a bike. At no point was there undue pressure on me to make a purchase. The original Turin cycling team raced under the 7-Up brand for the USAs international racing team. They also played the Italian cycling team in Breaking Away. =) Ive been riding their group rides for a few years and would recommend them to any (strong) experienced cyclist. Aside from the history, the shop has great staff, great equipment, and are a representative group of the best that Chicago cycling has to offer. I have friends at Turin from my frequent visits, but Im not financially motivated to write nice things in any way. =)

This shop is my absolute go to. Ive had terrible luck with one of my tires recently and theyve been so helpful and kind. They know their stuff and their prices are extremely fair. Go here! Ill be buying my next ride from these peeps 100%.

Wonderful staff! I came in looking for help attaching my Saris Bones 2 bike rack to my car and they were ready to help as soon as I came in. The employee came out to my car, attached the bike rack, and showed me all the proper mechanics of it. Will be back for all my bike needs!

Fantastic neighborhood bike shop! A good selection of bike gear (clothes, cold weather needs, helmets and bikes). Parking is always a non-issue and the shop is dog friendly, for those who like to shop with your pups. The Turin branded bike wear is super reasonably priced!

Blew out my rear fat tire wheel, after calling a few other places up and getting wishy washy answers, I simply stopped in on my way from work to see what they could do and with in 10 minutes. They put a new tubeless tire on and had me out the door. Awesome Friendly service

I went in here yesterday to see if my bike needed a tune up. Not only did they service my bike for free but they were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I did end up buying accessories for my bike which they installed for free. These guys know whats up in the bike world. They went from beginner questions from me about how much to inflate my tires to crazy questions about racing rims (not from me) without skipping a beat. One little thing that stuck out was that the door was closed when I got there with my bike. In the 2 seconds that it took me to begin to figure out how to open the door and get my giant bike through, Chris came from behind the counter and opened it for me. That was a huge thing in my mind. Totally polite, not pushy about selling stuff and just downright fantastic. Ive decided to not go to another bike shop ever. They used to be in Evanston previously and I will have to stay that their service ethic has escalated. They have only been here for 3 months but I have to say that I hope they are here to stay. Check them out. Total value for money, totally trustworthy and downright decent. Happy trails!

Genuinely, one of the more pleasant experiences Ive had at a bike shop since I moved to Chicago! I can barely remember the last time I was able to walk into a shop with a problem and walk out with a fixed bike in under 30 minutes, but thats exactly what happened. And theyre reasonably priced too! So many other shops will just put you on a 3-day waiting list no matter what the issue is, and I so often leave feeling pice-gauged, but not here. 10/10 would recommend!

Wonderful helpful knowledgeable friendly staff that helped myself and my boyfriend get set up on some great new bikes . As a novice cyclist they were so easy to work with and helped us get the best fit of bikes for our bodies and our budget. What a great experience, I highly recommend Turin!!

Got my front derailur adjusted incorrectly asked for Look Keo replacement bolts and they sold me the wrong ones. Essentially, I got got for @ 10$. On another note, everyone was friendly. Even though I expressed no interest in Lake shoes and was asking about Giros, the dude working there was trying hella hard to sell me some! Lol. Ended up adjusting my front derailur myself and just buying some new Look cleats. I guess thats what I get for being lazy. The coolest part about the shop was that they have lockers and a shower in the back. Pretty cool if you ride to work everyday.
