My boyfriend and I were in Chicago for his birthday which had been long planned. With COVID, I had to try and get a little creative with a birthday treat for him. We love beer and cheese pairing so I got I touch with Randall at Beautiful Rind. I cannot even begin to explain how helpful and hospitable he was. He recommended picking some beer from next door at Navigator Tap and he would help us put together a pairing with his awesome cheeses and accompaniments. Man did we pick a winner. Randall was spot on with all his choices. We tried so many new cheeses with wonderful bold flavors. Thank Randall, we cant wait to come visit you again.

Had a couple of absolutely phenomenal sandwiches to-go from Beautiful Rind. I cannot wait to go back. And if Im ever able to host groups again (curse you, COVID) I will be all over the cheeseboard and charcuterie options. What a gem.

The owner is so sweet - hes very knowledgeable in wines and cheeses and makes great recommendations based on your tastes. Also he has amazing customer service. We dined on the patio during a windy day and lost half of our meal. He replaced it for free without us asking! :)I highly recommend this place.

Stop what youre doing right now and GO GET SOME CHEESE FROM BEAUTIFUL RIND!On the recommendation of a friend we ordered from Beautiful Rind for delivery for New Years Eve through Tock. We decided to go all out and order their All the Cheese Platter and their All the Charcuterie platter along with the sparkling wine pairing. They even threw in a baguette!First, of all, we knew this was going to be a lot of food, but didnt expect TWELVE different cheeses and FIVE different types of charcuterie. Each was PERFECTLY paired with a jam or compote or mustard or marmalade... well, you get the point. And on top of all that, it was perfectly packed and labelled so we didnt have to play the what cheese is THAT? game--it was super easy to figure out which cheese/meat was which and what it went with.The charcuterie was perfect -- melt-in-your-mouth prosciutto, flawless serrano ham, and soppressata (paired with sport peppers OMG).But the cheeses. Wow, the cheese were just mind-blowing. Some of the best cheese Ive had in years--positively delicious samples of bleu, brie, gruyere, aged brick, and some perfectly sliced tete de moine that absolutely made me want to weep it was so good. Will put together just an amazing New Years Eve spread for us -- thanks Will!Cant wait to order a delivery platter from them again--we ordered through Tock like a week in advance and it showed up exactly when they said it would. Cant recommend them highly enough!

What an incredible place! I got the at home cheese and beer pairing, as well as a baguette. All the selections of cheese and accompaniments were delicious, and paired very well with the selected beers. The owner hosted the class, and it was clear he put a lot of thought into every aspect of this experience. Very excited to be able to come back here soon!

I love the wine and cheese here Ive been twice since theyve opened, but I have to say the staff could be more accommodating. Its very slow service. Simple things that you would want/need are forgotten (napkins, bowls for seeds/pits, silverware). Last time I was there it was so windy that wine blew all over me as the server poured our first glass. I get it, were outside, its the windy city, but they never brought napkins to clean off my legs and arm and my shirt is stained. Most places would have comped something, not even looking for that. But really a napkin to clean off would have been nice. How do you forget something like that?

Wow. This place is amazing. There simply aren’t enough cheese mongers in this city and Beautiful Rind exceeds my dream cheese experience. The mongers are incredibly knowledgeable and take time to discuss options. The wine that they recommended was a perfect match. Cant wait to visit when eating at the cheese bar is available once more.

Loyola had a cheese tasting class that was provided for and taught by the Beautiful Rind and it EXCEEDED all my hopes. The platform used, the teacher, and the cheeses were all incredible. Definitely signing up for more classes and will be back in soon.

Great cheese and charcuterie board with contactless delivery during stay at home order. The condiments and baguette were great accompaniments (special shout out to the super spicy mustard).

My team and I did a virtual intro to cheese class with Randall and had the best time! All of the cheeses that we tried were absolutely delicious, and Randalls ability to share his passion for and knowledge of cheese, while keeping everyone engaged and entertained, is impressive. Happy I found my new favorite cheese shop in Chicago!

Perfect place to spend a weekend afternoon catching up with friends and eating delicious cheese

The person who took care of us was extremely knowledgeable and their inventory is extremely local, like within Chicago city limits local. Plenty of drinks (alcoholic and NA), meats, jellies and crackers available. We forgot to check out the other counter but I think it maybe was a pickle counter?

What a great place! The passion for greatness shows! Owner and staff are so kind and knowledgeable that they will recommend cheese according to preference or guide you if you want to try something new. We are thrilled to see local cider/beer here also. Excited to learn more about cheese and pairings from virtual courses.

Great new cheese store in Chicago! Randall Felts is your new cheese monger. With extensive knowledge and great palate he can recommend just the right cheese for your next plate, party or solo snack. I love his selection. He has a great saying Beautiful Rind in that its not his cheese store but rather it is OUR cheese store. That sums it up beautifully.

Amazing cheese selection and fair prices. They do a great job in pairing jams and cheeses. One of my favorites is the spicy pineapple jam. Also, their sangria is to die for, I get it at least 1-2x a week!

Lovely people with great, mindful selection of cheeses from Europe and all over the world, plus gourmet grocery and extremely curated wine shelf. A joy to be in. They have charcuterie as well and a cute patio on milwaukee ave. Boards with interesting pairings available. Super recommended.

Had a fantastic experience at the Beautiful Rind this afternoon! We came in to get some cheeses and meats for a charcuterie board to bring to a dinner party. I was extremely impressed with the Cheese Monger, he was so helpful and patience with us while we decided what types of cheeses to select. They have a great array of cheeses from all over the world. We were also able to pick up some meats, crackers and spreads for our board. It was a wonderful experience! We will be back!

New shop on Milwaukee Ave! Very pleasant open ambiance with grab and go items, menu items and selection of items. Helpful friendly staff. I had a menu sandwich and it was delicious! Stop in and get something to eat! You wont be disappointed!

Do NOT order anything other than cold cheese/meat. The waiter failed to tell us they were out of one of the limited cheeses on the menu. We also ordered off the Cheesy Dishes menu and it took over 1.5 hours to get our food ... and the restaurant maybe had 5 tables to serve.

I came in here on a food tour that my gf had planned out. The owner of this establishment was so welcoming and went above and beyond in helping us find the right kind of cheese to go with the beer that Navigator Tap had next door. I plan on coming back again soon and look forward to beer and cheese tastings!!

Nice to be able to try nice cheeses by the pound, and prices are not too bad. Been here three times and the Staff has been friendly and helpful each time.
