Great little pit stop for sweet treats while we were busy being tourists in Chicago. The chocolate is always delicious. The ice cream sundae we ordered was good but pricey. Friendly staff and highly visible location.

Perfect spot to grab ice cream at when walking by the river walk. Definitely satisfies the sweet craving!! Everything we got was delicious!!!

For the price this place is nothing but sugar overload. The lands end for which I paid $15 shouldnt be more than $4.99. The quality of food is very basic. No gourmet feel or taste to the food. Not sure if Ill visit the place again.

Delicious Sea Salt caramel sundae, we sat in the back overlooking the river. Great night view, it gets crowded very quickly and there is limited seating.

Went to this place on a Saturday night, and there was a huge line. Had to wait for 20min to get my order and the sundae was definitely worth the wait.The chocolate ice cream with chocolate fudge and banana was very delicious, that it is one of the perfect places to have a dessert.You can also find different flavours of chocolate.

Great place in a very touristy location in Chicago. Been here for 3 straight days cause I just couldn’t enough of their ice-creams!Pros:- VERY friendly and well-trained staff- Amazing sweet treats (shakes, ice-creams, the works)Cons (the reason I’m giving only 3 stars):- Too pricey. 15 bucks for a sundae is just a rip-off- They were out of brownies for 2 days in a row. Half of their shakes and ice-creams have brownies in them, how do you just run out of brownies for two days in a row!? Plus, there’s a whole bunch of brownie mix boxes on sale in their very own shop downstairs. I was about to offer to go to the kitchen myself with a couple of boxes and bake them some brownies so they could serve people decently. This denotes very poor management, even though the staff serving people is very friendly and attentive.

The reason why I’m not giving ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ is because their menu isn’t updated. Taste very good but I feel they could improve the presentation, I’ve seen different pics from the past and they look much better. Friendly and awesome service, great customer service. If you love chocolate, you must visit the Ghirardelli shop. The moment you walk in you smell the aroma and instantly smile. Packed with all sorts of chocolates, youll definitely find something for now, later, and more for family and friends. There is an assortment of ice cream to choose from upstairs. Review the menu in the pictures. Prices are fair, staff is friendly, and dress is casual.

Worth coming to if you’ve never been to a Ghiradelli before. It’s definitely pricey ($15 for a banana split) but the experience is fun!

Yums...Im not an ice cream or chocolate fan but when I need a choco-fix I reach for the Ghirardelli chocolate and caramel candies. This heaven in a cup was the right amount of caramel saltiness, sweetness and love. I felt loved after eating this!!! Thank you!!!

Its a well known name in chocolate, but so cool to also have a brick and mortar store to buy all their flavors, PLUS all the desserts and coffee you could want upstairs! So many amazing offerings. I got a scoop of chocolate ice cream and a coffee. Simple, but decadent and delicious!

I love chocolate, specially dark chocolate.Ghirardelli is one of those place that seeing different colors of chocolate and designs makes you feel excited.

Went on a Thursday eve, long line but surprisingly fast. I was tempted to get one of their sundaes on the menu - Ocean Sunday. It was great but also too much :) I could have opted for a single scoop instead.

Fun place, but one cashier let us order cold drinks and one said the machine was down. One party got cold drinks and one didnt. Confused cashiers or lazy ones, we will never know.

It is our chicago tradition to grab something from this store, this time we got a white chocolate mocha powder which was on sale for $20.Friends enjoyed their Mocha drink as well. Store is well organized with directions & pickup points.Must visit !!

One of the best ice creams

Its very overrated. In ice cream sundays, the Brownie was cold and the whipped cream was hot. The long line and the highly inflated prices are not worth it. Shakes were mediocre too

Product is great, unfortunately the person taking the order was not very courteous. First time taking one of my toddlers for a sunday and the cashier was not very helpful. The greeter was kind and helpful.

Loved this place, one of the best ice cream shops in the city. Could not recommend enough, the ice cream and flavours were absolutely amazing.

Visited today and the staff were nice. Packed a dessert to-go order very thoughtfully and carefully. The mix-n-pick table is great for Ghiradelli lovers. I got to select a few choices I dont have at home.

Truly love this place. Anytime im in the city I come here. Get chocolate, or a milkshake, the choice is yours, but the taste is amazing.

Prices are a little high, but truthfully thats anything downtown Chicago. Their sundaes are wonderful, though! I had their smores and did chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla, the perfect end to a long week of work.

Nice seating area on second floor of the Wrigley Building overlooking the river and Michigan Ave. I know it is a touristy kind of place but the prices are a bit extreme. Come ready to split a sundae four ways with friends and stay a while to enjoy the view and youll have a good time and get away without too much damage.

Place is crowded, its a tourist spot.Line was out the door yesterday.

The line was long but they were doing a great job managing the flow and keeping everyone apprised. The drinks were super tasty AND the customers and staff were friendly enough to find one of our cell phones and keep it there for a few hours until we figured out we lost it and drove all the way back from the burbs to get! Special thanks to Frank and team especially the cashier who kept the phone and even recognized me from earlier after I came back the second time to get it! I cant exactly remember her name, so I wont butcher an attempt to spell it, but she was awesome too! Also, to add to the overall awesomeness, Frank took the time to actually independently verify that I was the owner of the phone, so your lost and found is safe here!! They are obviously super busy ALL THE TIME and I feel bad adding that extra hassle. Still, great people all around! Looking forward to returning and having the family drop in for another tasty treat!

More than 10 minutes for a frozen hot cocoa. Save yourself the time and money and go to starbucks. No apologies whatsoever.

Two floors, lots of selections! First floor is dedicated to all the chocolates for purchase individually or in gift sets while the second floor caters to primarily prepared ice cream desserts. Prices are a bit high, but not outrageous.

Americas own chocolate...Ghirardelli! The best place to eat and shop great combinations of chocolates. All chocolates have been made with utmost care to give balanced taste. Do try their desserts. All products available here are the best and value for money.

Disappointing. We paid $30 for ice cream and after an hour still didnt have it. It was crowded but we saw many after us get there order ahead of us. We asked and we kind of were dismissed. My husband went to get a refund and they had to refund each item individually. At the same time, our order came out. I tried to get his attention because they were obviously having trouble with the refund and the server literally took the ice cream back out of my hand and took it back. So, I continued to wait until they could refund us since we were not getting our ice cream. Our ticket must have gotten lost behind someone elses, but they werent nice or apologetic and we wasted over an hour of our life. Needless to say, we didnt pick up the chocolates we were also planning to purchase.

It seems that there are lines just about every night so just be prepared for that. The location is the perfect spot. The serving size for two scoops in a waffle cone is humongous; I could barely finish it. The raspberry sorbet was divine! Great treat to end the day!

Had to wait in line for an hour to get a sundae (Saturday at 8PM). When I got to the front to see the menu, a good amount of menu items were unavailable. The sundaes were good but nothing so amazing that I would wait an hour for.

Best ice cream I have ever had. The ambience was excellent but we were not able to enjoy it for a longer time because of COVID. There was a wait time of 8-10 minutes, they will only allow you inside in batches.

The best ice cream Ive had. Its really creamy! I had the hot fudge sundae and treasure island. The place also had a great view overlooking the Chicago river and the Michigan avenue bridge. Its slightly expensive, but its worth it. Also tasted the cherry vanilla scoop, and it was horrible. Suggest you dont take that. But the vanilla and chocolate are the classics and are really good. The brownie in treasure island is good to taste but extremely sticky. It kinda gets messy as you eat.

There are plenty of these stores in the Chi downtown area but I like this one the best. They’re Usually busy on the weekends and might be a while till you find a table. The staff is very friendly. A bit pricey but worth it because you don’t have cheat days everyday.

One can never go wrong with Ghirardelli. They have best Sundaes in Chi town. Wide range of ice creams and Sundaes to pick from and every bite is like a magic. Whenever I go to downtown I never forget to eat a dessert from Ghirardelli. Great service, friendly staff, large quantity and of course free chocolate at entrance when you enter to this place😉. If you haven’t been to this place then I would recommend to try it once.

One stop place to get Ghiradelli ice cream, chocolates and souveniers. Ice cream tastes perfect with right amount of sweetness. Location is perfect right in the Wrigley Building on the Riverfront. Definitely recommended.

Worth the wait. There is a small wait once you enter the store. The new location is great. The retail displays and pre sell are very enticing. Once you get upstairs, there real magic happens. Its hard to explain just how good Ghirardelli Ice Cream and the combination of toppings is. Well worth a visit.

Good service, but expect LONG wait times and high prices given its location in the promenade. Some of the cookies items were not available. Milkshakes were nice, but the hot chocolate was not. Very disappointing thats it is basically cocoa powder with hot water instead of milk; swiss miss was better than that.

Five stars because when you show up they give you a sample. You walk around a little and someone else gives you another sample... you walk around some more and you guessed it: some other employee will give you yet another free sample. I seriously had this happen to me, but Im not complaining. Basically if you stick around in the store and have a spare change of clothes, theyll feed you until they close. Jokes aside, the chocolate selection here is amazing. They sometimes have deals on their chocolate. When I went, it was buy 3, get 1 free.

Ghirardellis offer a wide choice of deserts that should suit just about everyone. The difficult bit is actually making the choice. Downstairs is the shop where you can treat yourself (and others) to a whole range of products including just a single bar or a whole selection basket. The upstairs is where you can order ice cream and it has a fairly big seating area. It also has an excellent view onto the river. Overall Id definitely recommend Ghirardellis Ice Cream.

Lovely food. Such a treat. Fun fast paced environment. Best ice cream in Chicago 🍦🍨🍧❄️. Good quality brand of chocolate with many flavors. Ghirardelli came up with a great product when they started making peppermint squares. They have a light peppermint almond bark top with milk chocolate on the bottom.

It could easily be Chicagos top coffee attraction. You cannot imagine how good their hot cocoa tastes after a night out in the cold.

This place is a must visit when you get to Chicago!It worth every calorie!!The portions are huge so its more than ok share, most likely you wont finish it either LOLWe shared a brownie Sunday and I can still feel the awesome taste it had!I really recommend to take an hour to sit down and enjoy the ice cream and the amazing view.We went there a little after 1pm so it was pretty calm and we didnt have to wait to be sitted or anything.See you soon I guess.

Ice cream was great but a bit confused as to why they walk across the store to put your ice cream on a table with tons of people waiting for ice cream breathing all over the table. Not the most smartest thing.

Terrible Experience! WAY over priced, $22 for two items (one of them a single scoop of vanilla ice cream in a cup)! The operations are horrible - waited 1.5 hours in multiple lines to finally get a scoop of ice cream. The tables were dirty and not cleaned. The garbage cans were over-flowing. Never again!

Got a free sample by a welcoming gentleman in the store and enjoyed the World Famous Hot Fudge Sundae with a view of the river.

More premium feeling than DQ but its still pretty much just a standard issue ice cream place. I had the Nob Hill Chill and it was good but nothing to write home about. The building had a nice view.

Everything about Ghirardelli is perfect in my eyes I love every thing they have in store in the ice cream shop its just beautiful nice atmosphere if I can give it 10 Stars I would.

One of my favorite chocolate of all times... It is on the heart of Chicago downtown. You can get a variety of ice cream. Service is OK and the prices are very high. However, I would say the prices are OK for the location.

Once my wife and I discovered ghirardelli in San Francisco we were hooked and knowing there was one in Chicago we new we had to go! There sundaes can easily be shared as they are pretty big. They all are very good!

One of my favorite places on the entire planet! This place is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth or who enjoys good chocolate. The downstairs section is filled with candy. You can build your own box of ghirardelli chocolates. I love it because this is the only place that has all of the different dark chocolate varieties of ghirardelli and I can mix and match them into my own perfect chocolate stash. The upstairs is and icecream parlor that is filled with extra sweet treats all made by ghirardelli. I stop in here and get myself one of their delicious concoctions every time I come to Chicago. Today I got the salted carmel brownie sundae. Come hungry. My Sunday was huge and filling.
