Small cozy coffee shop in Logan Square. Pretty quiet especially during Covid - no where to Dine Inside but theyre more than happy to give cozies/etc so you can have what you need as you leave.Few different and interesting flavors such as Black Pepper Fig Coffee. Also has artwork from around the community. Seems like an awesome place to spend with a book during normal times
Quite possibly the best latte Ive ever had in my life. Paired with eccentric decor and jazz playing from a record player? Perfect. Absolutely perfect.
I prefer well seasoned food. It was rather bland for my tastes. The grain bowl was just ok. Service was quick and I was hungry, but I wouldn’t seek it out.
I tried their iced smoked maple latte and it was delicious! The flavors were subtle and smooth. I also tried their pumpkin chai muffin. It was soft with a little crunch from the pepitas on top. Perfect for fall!
It was definitely a unique experience! This is my first time here in this coffee shop and definitely not my last. They have fantastic taste of coffee and exceptional customer service. The staff is warm and friendly, the foods are great, and the overall shop is astounding. This is the best coffee shop I have ever been to. Highly recommended!
A great spot for live music and events. Cheap beer as well
I hardly remember, but I know I had fun
Amazing atmosphere, I recommend the Black Pepper & Fig Latte. I was skeptical about it but trust me, its great!!
Cool ambiance. Great fig latte and matcha latte
A fan since they opened...great coffee, great owners and staff, great part of our community
Fun place. Free karaoke on Sundays
Incredible coffee, hangover-curing breakfast bites, and a delightful staff.
Great venue
Unique cafe. Sells Chicago bands on vinyl, plays records for background music (currently a Link Wray album with songs by his influences), plays music in bar side at night. Decorations are thrift store finds: old globes, Nat Geo mags, etc. Some fun paintings of water bears/tardigrades in bar side right now.
I found this place through a friend several years ago, and I LOVE their iced coffee, among their specialty hot coffees which are also delicious, pastries from local bakeries that are out of this world, and not to mention their uniquely crafted brunch menu with vegan friendly items - which keeps me coming back for their weekend brunch specials. This place is cozy, offers free WiFi perfect for when you need to study or work from home, and has just the right combination of good tunes that aren’t blaring to keep you focused on reading or allow you to have a conversation where you aren’t shouting to hear the other person. Highly recommend checking it out!
The food is fresh and fantastic. The coffee is delicious and well made. The whole place has a chill and friendly vibe with a unique setting. In the evenings they have live music and cocktails. It seems like a dream come true.
“The perfect bar to go to for a chill time.” Those aren’t my words, nay, they are the words of a companion of mine, but I was struck by their truth. It truly is the perfect bar for a chill time. Bless you, you mustachioed mixers, bless you.
I love this place! They always have a show with the most unique acts. A Capella Punk Band? Check. Lawyer singing about court cases to electric guitar? Check. Crazy talented folk act with upright bass? Duh-doy!
This is a new choice spot for me to do work. This establishment transitions from a coffee spot to down-tempo cocktail lounge to do work- that also serves affordable beer offerings too. I mainly go because I enjoy eavesdrop or jump into conversations on synthesizer, electronic music, Chicago music scene history conversations when I need a break from my work at hand.
Great wraps, coffee, and tea. Excellent service. Hands down the best and most genuine cafe in Chicago!
I love this place! They always have a show with the most unique acts. A Capella Punk Band? Check. Lawyer singing about court cases to electric guitar? Check. Crazy talented folk act with upright bass? Duh-doy!
Great night of music! Love the vibe here. Two areas to hang out; one event space that has a pretty large capacity and another with a pretty good amount of seating. I hear the food is great, too!
Love the vibe of this place! Food took a little while longer to arrive but it was really good once we got it! Great playing music!
Straight up 5 stars on the vegan chili. Medium heat and heavy favor. This is a must have stop on the Chicago tour if food. You will not be disappointed.
Cheap drinks. Self-service water cooler. Neat side room. Good musical acts.
Great venue and multi-purpose space. I have seen a few shows here; usually the neighborhood band or a friends show. Its a perfect intimate space for that local type of gathering. Coffee shop with ample board game selection on one side and a bar with classic Chicago drinks on the other. Multiple bathrooms, credit cards accepted.
Ive never been to a place thats as discriminatory as Cafe Moustache. If you dont look the way they want you to look, watch out, because theyll mistreat you.
The single best chill, non-bro, non-deafening bar for good conversation and interesting entertainment. If you do visit and there is programming, be sure to make a contribution, even if you didn’t plan on the show. You’ll help local artists and feel better about yourself too. Come back during the day for great coffee, tea, food (and internet) as well.
Nice little coffee spot. Food is really good but a little pricey. Excellent coffee drinks and cute hip atmosphere. Bring back the chicken salad sandwich! Breakfast burrito +organic bacon is outstanding.
My personal favorite cafe in Chicago. Love the homey vibe, the vegan chili is a lunch staple, friendly service, dedicated neighborhood ownership, good teas, and its a great little bar at night. Good gumbo. Soup specials are always good, often excellent. I love their vinyl collection. This is my number one hangout in Logan Square.
Felt old but I kinda am. People were good at karaoke and the bartender forgot to ring us in for two of our shots. I grabbed Jesss butt and thought about how amazing she is. Im crazy about her. Didnt smoke any weed here but it seems like it wouldnt be that big of a deal.
I love the atmosphere, its very eclectic and retro. The people working are always so kind and laid back and the coffee is fantastic! I highly recommend the dirty chai if thats what youre into. Its a great place to go solo, to work on a project, or to meet up with friends or a group. Plus theres a bar in the back room, so you can get your caffeine fix before you have a few drinks, and there are plenty of board games to choose from to help break the ice with people. Support local stores and come here, you wont be disappointed!
Always friendly staff, love the Bridgeport coffee and everything bagels. I stop in almost daily for a chance to listen to an ever changing variety of vinyl while I sit and read a book. Very nice vibes and there are no shortage of board games to occupy your time. Highly recommend
Such a unique and cozy place..saw a local jazz band on a Tues night. Affordable drinks. Will be back to try the chili
Decent drinks, they have late night snacks like chili and gumbo. Karaoke on Sundays and local artist shows throughout the week. Good stop to pre game or take a break when clubbing around the neighborhood.
Awesome cute little place, love the atmosphere and the music. Its busy but not crowded. The breakfast wrap I had was perfectly made, and there are plenty of places to work from with a laptop. Didnt have many three prong outlets, but thats the only downside. If I lived near here it would be my regular spot, but since I dont Ill just come here when Im in the neighborhood 😌
Ok coffee, cool atmosphere. They stay open later than most other coffee shops in the area and you can grab a beer while youre there too. If you stay past 7:00 you might witness a random poetry reading or musical performance.
I went on a Saturday night to check out a friends band. I dont have any problem with the staff, the place, or anything. It was just nothing to write home about. I was greeted with strong B.O. upon entering. I left and hour later feeling old and crotchety. Ill probably check it out on a weekday for coffee. It seems like a good spot to catch up with a friend or a first date. There are board games and good vibes.
Great location, comfortable down to earth vibe, excellent coffee and lots of cool people. Whats not to like?
Cozy place. Has a nice mix of dive bar and cafe. Great happy hour special. Food is pretty great too. Friendly staff
I like that they have female comedian showcases every now and then. This is awesome!!!!
Really nice people who work here. Great place for experimental music and ecclectic meetup events. Good selection of teas and other NA drinks.
I went for The Skewer, and enjoyed the performance thoroughly. I was delighted to drink a Special Export, and my friends enjoyed more craft oriented drinks. All in all a wonderful experience!
We got a reservation for a table in 30 minutes. Super fast called and was seated in 30 minutes. Food was great! Service was decent. The desserts everyone loved! Priced well.
Ive always had a good experience here
A dive with great music & a fun karaoke night! Staff is super friendly & the crowd is always cool.
Bagel sandwich is amazing.
This place is a cool mellow bar/coffee shop, its just a couple of steps off of the Milwaukee blue line. And check out their calendar for cool events that happen daily.
Awesome music. Great crowd. Drinks are pretty good, nice selection.
Great neighborhood coffee shop and bar. Perfect for reading a book or catching up on some work. They play full albums on vinyl all day. Tons of cool events like music, karaoke, comedy and trivia at night
Love this place! Every day something different is happening and super cozy even just to have some drinks and chill
Saw a really cool band. The malort/old style special this day was great
Great staff, amazing music and great go-to Chicago place😊
I went to cafe mustache for the tarot meetup. Love their iced tea, and I love the folks of the meetup. Very casual, but I always learn something new
Decent drinks, they have late night snacks like chili and gumbo. Karaoke on Sundays and local artist shows throughout the week. Good stop to pre game or take a break when clubbing around the neighborhood.
Oh my god this place is amazing/totally the best joint. It has the coolest coffee and some of the best espresso beans this side of the river. WE REALLY ENJOYED THE STAFF. Their all have hot bods and cool brains.
Great little cafe that serves a variety of drinks and food. Really great atmosphere with plenty of board games to play while youre there. Serves mostly vegan food.
Cafe Mustache is a great place for early morning coffee, a light brunch, or a drink later in the day when the bar opens. Really great spot.
Excels as both cafe & bar. Terrific staff w/ discerning taste in all things. Reliable cast of authentic locals provide patronage & entertainment.
Great coffee and great atmosphere! All their scones and scrumptious treats are made fresh daily and always different. They have a full calendar of events practically everyday!Clean and just a fun place to hang out.
Great music. pleasant staff. Loved this place.
Very friendly staff and great location. Even though it is right by the blue line, the train was not loud.
Love this place. Learned how to program here over the summer a few years ago, now they have a fantastic bar and venue. Plus the staff! The people running this place!
I work here quite often during the day. Good space. At night, their Surprisingly Good drink is just that.
The coffees stay hot on this restaurant and at night enjoyments burst forth to just not only drinks, people and fun.
Man, I wish Cafe Mustache were right outside my door. Its a very comfortable coffee spot that delivers a fine cappuccino at a decent cost. It also smells like the coffee houses of my youth smelled: Coffee + hippy musk. Love it.
Best coffee in logan square good vinyl nice staff
Cafe Mustache is a great place to work and meet up with people over coffee or a beer. Its been expanded in recent years and now has a bar side in addition to the cafe. They have an all you can drink coffee option, as well as all the other drinks. They have chili and other more typical cafe foods. Theres lots of nighttime programming in the bar
Kept it simple with drip coffee and a breakfast wrap. The wrap was delicious, filled with perfectly cooked eggs and fresh produce. Drip coffee was just what I was looking for.
Whether you need a hot coffee or a cold beer, this is a really chill spot for both. They have some fun events throughout the week, good artwork, and a nice home-y feel.
The events this space hosts are spectacular. I love the chili and beer specials. Affordable and chill spot to hang.
Love this place whenever Im feeling like doing something unique. ALWAYS an interesting time in here.
Love this spot. Great music.
My friend and I walked in this cafe yesterday night. We really liked decor and vibe of the place. It is very huge! We liked the art on the walls and music was decent. Service was friendly. The only con I can tell about was when I asked for a cortado, a barista told: sure we can do that and I got a small latte instead served in 8oz cup, which was good though. My friend enjoyed her flavored one.
Lovely place, super nice folks grown out of the DIY community. Delicious coffee, great vegan chilli.
Didnt investigate food options (but they looked tasty) but the coffee service and atmosphere were on point. Must like vinyl records, vintage artwork and a hipster vibe.
Great coffee drinks and a cool laid back vibe. Good music too
This place is a super cool spot to chill with the homies unless its Sunday, when its a cool spot to party with the homies.
Excellent karaoke every Sunday night. Drinks are a decent price. I hear the picked eggs are delicious (Im allergic to eggs).
One of my favorite coffee spots in the city. I like going in there, friendly staff. Only thing is the internet is shoddy and for how good some of the surrounding coffee is they should probably up their product.
Cheap drinks and friendly service! Sunday night “Spicy Boi Karaoke” is one of the best karaoke night’s in the city.
Went to see a show, had a decent set up and seems like they really support local artists which is great! Space is divided into 2, but that left very few tables on the stage side, and I saw some awkward encounters between the bouncer and a couple trying to grab some chairs so they could watch.Drinks looked great, I wasnt into drinking that evening and was super happy so see they had coffee and La Croix on the menu! Coffee was fantastic. The women next to me ordered their vegan chili and the serving size looked generous!Overall, good drink options and great community feel. Set up is just kind of cramped and awkward for more than say.. 20 to 30 people on the stage side.
4 shots of espresso in their large lattes plus priced better than the big green chain. Win-win.
A cozy spot to hunker down and get work done during the child winter months.
Nice, eclectic bar / coffee shop with games and some food.
I came here and got a chai latte and it was the worst chai I’ve had. Nice environment though and the food sounds interesting but I didn’t have the chance to try it
Fun, eccentric & chill place to grab a drink
Hipster hideout that hosts some cool smaller music gigs and poetry stuff.
Great coffee shop for those that work remotely. Free coffee refills. Not pretentious. No frills.
Best mocha in Logan Square. Great entertainment. It would be great if they served a limited coffee menu at night because they’re still open but I understand they need to have a barista on staff to do that. It would also be nice if they kept the WiFi on when they were open. They turn off the WiFi at night. I’m not sure why.
