This place is so cozy! They play calming music and have a great selection of warming drinks and foods. The service is great as well.

This place is adorable. They have good selection of food, coffee, bubble tea, and few other items. I ordered mango bubble tea (supposedly they are made of fresh fruits) and tomato panini. Although I loved the taste of both, I would strongly prefer bubble tea in a liquid form and not in a smoothie form, atleast should offer to have them in both ways. Tomato panini literally has tomato and cheese (I thought they atleast use some spread) which still tasted good with marinara. Giving this restaurant 4 stars because of my experience with what I ordered and the look and feel of the restaurant in general.

This is a wonderful cafe for studying and catching up with friends. The owner is courteous and quick to serve his customers. The atmosphere is relaxed and homey, with comfy couches as well as plenty of tables. The latte art is unique and adorable. I highly recommend this gem of a cafe for late night studying.

Very cute Korean Cafe like you would see in the Korean series on Netflix! They have couches where you could chill on but too bad I went during the Covid and you cant use that. They also provide board games. It is perfect location for the college students to hangout after school or to study/read.

Wonderful place with good service and great food. I regularly buy their bubble tea because of of how fresh it is. I recently tried their turkey and cheese panini and loved it.

Cozy asian style cafe with board games. Lot of college crowd frequents this place and there is some nice seating with couches to relax on. Service was a little slow during busy hours but the Bingsoos were nice. You wont find a huge selection of sophisticated games if you are primarily coming for that but there are some nice ones to enjoy with a group.

Really cute place in pasadena that serves crepe cakes ! They have indoor and outdoor seating. They have oreo and matcha crepe cakes and they are so yummy. I also like getting their foam drinks. They have nutella foam or cheese foam. I like getting either with the roasted oolong.

They are finally open! I love their boba. They use real fruits for their bobas. The owners are so friendly and kind. They sanitize every tables. Their waffles are amazing too. I will definitely be back soon!

A very nice small coffee shop. The atmosphere is very casual and it is an amazing place to just hang out with friends. The food is great but the main attraction is definitely the couches and board games! This is totally a place where you can just get coffee and c hill alone, but its also great for group outings!Of course they is also free WiFi and very often people can be found doing work on their laptops.

Its got a very laid back, relaxed atmosphere and the food is pretty great and reasonably priced. They also have games and cards in the corner that you can grab and use while youre there.

Ive been wanting to check this local cafe out for awhile and finally had the chance yesterday. Owner was busy yet still attentive and kind. There are plenty of seats available. Table seats are comfortable which is a big upside for studying for a couple of hours here. I had only a cappuccino but the food looked great. It wont be my last time here and next time I will try the food.

Pretty awesome atmosphere. The food isnt dollar menu priced, but $3-5 isnt terrible by any means. Only have had the bubble tea there so far, but they have plenty of other good-looking options as well. Fun for hangouts.

Very hospitable

Staff at this cafe are racist, I was there today and the staff was very rude. As I walked into the restaurant, the staff followed me to my sit then proceed to follow me as I went to the bathroom and insist that I ordered at that moment even though I explained that I would order soon just not at that moment. The staff then stated this is a restaurant, not a library after several times of me stating that I was going to order food just not at that moment. The staff was very aggressive and disrespectful to the point where another customer had to speak up against his actions. After the other customer spoke with the staff about his actions, I decided to leave the store due to the discrimination of the staff who never once asked the other customers to hurry up and order or disrespected them due to the color of their skin. There were several other customers there who did not order anything but were white and the staff didnt say anything to them.Update since owner message:Hello,I appreciate the response back. However your staff spoke perfect English and did understand what I was saying. He was very aggressive and used the proper English language. I didn’t state that I wasn’t going to order. I started I wasn’t ready to order because I had just sat down and wasn’t in the store for 5mins before your staff started bothering me. He was indeed being racist because as I stated before another customer had to call him out on the issue. And the other customer also left the store due to your staff disrespect and racist behavior towards me. Furthermore, your staff did not once ask anyone else in the restaurant to keep ordering food or following them around the store. Which is also why the other customer spoke up against your staff and also left the store. Once again I appreciate your reply however your staff needs to be addressed because he gives your company a bad name! You may not understand or care but racial profiling is a serious issue in the world that needs to be addressed and just saying it was a misunderstanding isn’t going to solve anything. Please reflect on this statement.

Its a nice chill spot for hanging out with friends. However if you want to go to study, I suggest you either go before the highschool kids come around 3pm or after they leave around 5:30-6pm. Other than that its a good place to go.

Very nice and homey, great coffee, phenomenal hot chocolate; the man who seems to run the place is very kind and polite. Usually if I go its in the evening, and at that time it seems to be popular with local students - dont expect too much quietude. Theres also free wifi for customers.

This is the place to visit once you are in the area! Great atmosphere with very relaxing couches and music through out. Must try waffles, panini, and ice bingsu. Staff are very kind and being able to serve in timely manner. It is very hard to find a place like Java & Mug around where I live. So, I always visit when I am out about by NIU. Glad to come back in any time around.

Great place to study, has printer, good wifi, nice set up. You have a lot of street parking but you have to pay. The only thing I had was a chai tea latte. It was excellent. I wish they had alternative dairy options but still good place.

POOR QUALITY, BAD EXPERIENCE, UNPLEASANT I don’t know if it’s a racial thing but I use to come here with some friend a few times and I guess he knew me by face and every time I come he just gives me attitude after attitude to me and my friends. Today he was especially rude to us, giving us more attitude for buying something small a “house coffee” saying “are you guys going to buy anything else, are friends going to buy anything?” with a mean attitude, and face. He told me why I was moving from a table to another he said “can’t you and your friends just sit at your original table” I said “Another friend is coming to join us we need more space” He gave me a bad frown and said is “is he going to buy something?” I told him I don’t know I think so he said “Does he have money?” And I don’t know if it was because we payed the house coffee in dollars and a quarters and judged us base when my friend later came he right away ran and went up to him before he even sat down and handed him the menu after about a minute or two he asked if he was ready to order my friend said he wanted a mango smoothie with extra tapioca, he said regular tapioca?, my friend said no EXTRA TAPIOCA PERALS please the owner looked at him like my friend couldn’t afford it he payed the man in full point is don’t ever come to this place worst service.

The food here is pretty good, even though its pretty expensive. Its a nice place to just sit and chat for a while, or play a board game with friends. I would recommend the bubble tea.

What a great upgrade from Starbucks! Manager Henry Choi was gracious, and served up a fantastic Americano and some delicious noodles. The atmosphere is calm and quiet enough to talk, think, do business.

This place was so disappointing. I have visited here whenever I need to go to Chicago and coffee here was total disaster. The owner of the cafe does not use proper English. Other servers are even better than him. I would rather go to outdoor cafe, next to this terrible cafe.

Not bad, seems to be a comfortable environment. I was confused if this was a furniture store. But seems to be coffee, food and jewelry store all in one. Books and games for fun. Only thing Im disappointed in was the quality of food, such as my raymun, taste like the ramen you buy from the dollar tree and he added a slice of what appears to be sandwich cheddar cheese on it. Service is somewhat slow cause it appears to be only one man working during a busy time.

Service and some desserts are great. Bubble tea is not so good, especially the mango one.

I havent had this much fun since high school.In Korea, theres a big coffee culture and you trip over cafes. They also have bang (room) culture, which are places you go to so you can hang out with friends and do things you would do in your living room if you werent living with your whole family. Java N Mug has that cafe/bang feel to it. There are couches setup all over the place, as well as desks and bars. You can play board games or surf the web while having delicious desserts or just drinking the usual cafe items. Staff is attentive and friendly, youll feel at home (or back in Korea, if youve had the pleasure of visiting).I suggest a red bean and fruit bingsoo if youve gotta fill a sweet tooth. If youre hungry, they have plenty of ramyeon to choose from.

Nice people, cheesy decor but hey, they do have macroons and bubble tea!!
